- If you're preparing to cast a river table, a cutting board, or any other type of wood and epoxy resin table, you'll need to make sure your wood is prepped and ready to go.
Using Amazing Clear Cast epoxy to seal your wood prior to pouring your river table will ensure fewer air bubbles and greater success. Consider this step 1 in the process of casting with live edge wood.

Super helpful, thank you!
And thanks for not putting annoying rock guitars as background!
Great video.. well explained! 👍👍
Thank you for a simple explanation that was very informative and helpful. You have a great voice, you sound like you could do radio. Lol.
Nice video, I like it. Thank you.
Curious how well with the deep pour bond to the clear cast?
I’m making a table and plan on using Rubio monocoat as a finish on the wood. Do I first use the Rubio then pour the resin over to seal?
I’m working with mesquite. What do you do about the worm holes? Clean them out and put clears cast in them?
I bought liquid glass do I need to mix both together for this or use just one in particular?
How long are you letting that sit before you begin your pour? Also did you scuff it at all at any point after sealing? So the main pour bonds?
I’ve sanded wood from course to fine grit, primed, painted and sealed my wood but still getting bubbles during final pour. What do you think is going on?
Where do you find the wood for tables?
Being that you coated them piece ahead of time to seal it, do you end up sanding that off during the finishing process so that you can apply an oil/wax finish?
I like the idea of allowing the seal coat anchor down the wood but it appears sanding to rough up the seal coat for the deep pour would invite dust particles in the final pour? Any insight on this? Thanks,
Could you use something cheaper to seal the faces of wood, like shellac, and then seal the edge with table top? 8oz per board seems like an expensive way to seal.
Thanks for the informational stuff. I want to ask (my english speaking level isn't much high) cause i didn't get it. You used the same epoxy resin for sealing as you used for pouring ?
hi, thanks for the instructions, but how much time should we wait before we pour the main epoxy project
Hi, I just purchased the Amazing Clear cast to cover a bar table top. I plan to seal it and the 2nd layer will be a flood. The instructions says to use a mist of rubbing alcohol on top of the fresh poured epoxy to get rid of the bubbles. I see in your video that you are using a torch. Will a torch work as good as alcohol with this application?
did you sand the live edge to scuff it up so the deep pour adheres better?
I was curious to know what grit of sand paper is good in prep for epoxy. I am pretty well ready to food grade epoxy a bowl. I am sanded to 320 grit now. Is a rougher grit better to help epoxy adhere or …
