They could put it on the big screen. I would go like a shot. As with all his concerts. They are brilliant but this one was perfection from start to finish. 😊 Love and good vibes to John and his family 💕💕
Yes!!! I'm so sad I never got to see him live And especially this bloody epic performance... I was probably a bit too young but still. I think the chain reaction tour was pretty incredible too. In fact, I can't believe I'm saying this but his vocal for playing to win was actually grittier in that concert. He toned it down for this one, maybe because it was with the MSO.
You were there?! I'm so jealous :D I watch all the reaction videos from this concert and I often wonder where all the people from the audience who were featured are now: the blond lady from Help who pretends to sing into a microphone with her friends, the other woman with a classic 80s camera and the girl who ran on stage. It looks like it was one amazing night to remember...
It sure was Doris - I was there also, and am actually in this video hahahaha. What a night it was, in saying that though, I can't separate this concert from The Main Event with Olive NJ and Anthony Warlow. Both were electrifying nights that I'll never forget as long as I've lived. I've seen John 17 times live, and NEVER tire of hearing his voice, or watching these clips. How lucky and privileged we were to witness such an amazing talent live. One of the best nights of my life
I did manage to see him back in 1987 in our small country town of Mackay, QLD. He was an extraordinary performer. Wasn't with the Melbourne Symphony Orchestra but the band on tour he had were amazing.✨
Unbelievable energy...vocal range out of the park....If that girl had done this in this day and age...she would have been crashed tackled lol. Innocent times back then. thanks for your reaction mate. Love from Australia.
Hope you are feeling better. All of John's shows are superb, but there is something about the addition of the orchestra, combined with John's showmanship and the interaction between everyone on stage that takes this one to that (in your words) "best concert of all time" level. It was visually spectacular, musically perfect, and one enormous bundle of fun to boot. Get well Farnsey! 💕
Fifty years plus of performing and you'd be pushed to find a bum note or John and his band giving less than 100%. Just an outstanding performer, an Aussie legend and a beautiful person. Speedy recovery John. Thank you for providing the soundtrack of our lives.💖
I remember one concert where security were stopping people going up front and telling them to sit down. John noticed this and said, “they’re not gonna hurt me guys, let them come up and dance. ” he knows his ordinance and loves them being up close.
I have been at the front of the stage on a number of occasions and he literally make eye contact with everyone...if not actually reaching out and touching. It's an amazing experience
As an Australian, there is profound music from John. He is a Showman who creates a spectical for his fans and audience. A voice that just cannot be beat.
Look for the before the concert video, he said this could be the best concert of my life. He rehearses hard all the time, so concerts are easy in comparison, this was 2 hours and 2 encores. Well he used to work hard at his craft, we all hope he can again because he loves singing so much. He also has horses which he loves to work with , thatkeeps him fit. One commenter said he was jumping up and down, on stage, during this concert and still singing in tune, i don't remember which song now. That is a feat of endurance and accuracy though.
Goosebumps!! This is my favourite song live. Such great energy! It’s a very large rabbit hole you’re going down. He never had a bad day at the “office” EVER!! We love him soooo much. Enjoy!
Every song from this concert is a maser piece and deserves a standing ovation. Another must see, is When The War Is Over from the concert called The Last Time: Melbourne 2003. John is older in this video, but his vocals are even more extraordinary. This was his take on an old Cold Chisel song, just breath taking......
Thank you for your great reaction again, to my all time favourite singer/phenomenal performer/band! I’ve loved John since I was a little girl in the 1970’s. He has always been a phenomenal performer…even the last concert I was privileged to attend of his at the Toowoomba Festival in Sept. 2019 !! It was so special as I was with my 16 year old daughter and 84 yr old mother!
Hey there - you are newish to your channel and I am watching - just wanted to let you know that the sound is a little low for this clip. x When I was younger (a lot) I used to go to the Muso's Club. A bit of who you know sort of entry. It had a small stage and a bar and tables to just sit and drink and watch amazing talent. And John had his band back then and was just a phenomenal as always. His voice just a powerhouse. And just a nice guy who was kind and funny and respectful of all. I saw some amazing bands around that time. Thanks for offering another kind word for his recovery. I hope he will be able to sing again but the work on his jaw will have some challenges. He is such a positive man if anyone can do it - it is him x
Thanks for the feedback!! What’s tough about it is that I have to go into the video never hearing or seeing it before so I don’t know how loud or quiet it’ll be! Ya know?
Amazing live performer. Allways in pitch never a wrong note eventhough he is running around on stage all the time. And they had no tecnical support such as pitch correction and autotuner, stuf like that .Just pure talent.
Playing To Win is John Farnham signature Little River Band song it the only LRB song that remained a staple in his solo career concerts . Here a request this Down On The Border - Little River Band with John Farnham on vocals back in 1983 ua-cam.com/video/qOfrTE0Jp-0/v-deo.html
Great reaction. Glad you enjoyed it so much. John’s an absolute legend. If you want to mix it up a bit, he played Jesus in the ‘Jesus Christ Superstar’ musical (all Australian cast). He was friggin amazing. His rendition of ‘Gethsemane’ is really moving. John legend played the role a couple years back. Couldn’t hold a candle to farnhams version.
Here is another song to react too, John does Led Zeppelins,(BLACK DOG). There is no video, it was recorded at a sound check. It's mind Blowing. ua-cam.com/video/F2Yi6TVi-sU/v-deo.html
Certainly got your money's worth going to that concert it was spectacular but then...... actually ANY John Farnham Concert were amazing. In fact the thing about Farnsey was that he would always make tickets affordable so that anyone could come. I hope over time you will get to see every performance from this concert. It's all on line. But maybe it's time to check out something from another concert so you can see that even without the Orchestra and just him and his band are equally amazing just on their own. CHAIN REACTION from the Chain Reaction Concert.
I don’t know if you have reacted to Age of Reason - the first song from this concert . It’s wonderful and sets the mood for the entire night . Loved your reaction of this song - thank you .
Yeah if they could magically do thatconcert again we'd all be there wouldn't we!
They could put it on the big screen. I would go like a shot.
As with all his concerts. They are brilliant but this one was perfection from start to finish. 😊
Love and good vibes to John and his family 💕💕

In a heartbeat.
When live concerts where ACTUALLY ALL LIVE👍👍
It was the best concert… absolutely privileged to have gone to this concert…

Imagine being there at this concert. How electrifying ✨✨ Love John and this song👏🏾👏🏾👏🏾👏🏾👏🏾
Must have been insane!
I did manage to see him back in 1987 in our small country town of Mackay, QLD. He was an extraordinary performer. Wasn't with the Melbourne Symphony Orchestra but the band on tour he had were amazing.✨
And he sounded just as good at the end of the concert as he did in the beginning!!
He is the epitome of what it means to be an Aussie - down to earth, a really nice guy who cares about other people and goes out of his way to help.
He sang this acoustically Live at The Chapel, at 53. So good!
He can sing any genre and definitely a legend. I have been a fan since I was 18 years old. I’m 68 now. Cheers
Great reaction. For something different please react to John singing When the War is Over from 2003, he’s a bit older, you won’t be disappointed!
I think I reacted to this and it’s in my channel!! Take a look 😄
Every concert was like this. He was the best. We wish seeing him live
I love how he jumps around in part of this song , all that energy and be able to sing while. Jumping , as only John can , amazing.
He fell.off the stage in London in 1998 and kept singing and the band kept performing. It was amazing 👏🏻 😍 🙌
Unbelievable energy...vocal range out of the park....If that girl had done this in this day and age...she would have been crashed tackled lol. Innocent times back then. thanks for your reaction mate. Love from Australia.
I’m glad you watched it!! Hope you’re doing well my Aussie friend ❤️
IMHO the best to ever get in front of a microphone🎤
The living legend John Farnham ❤️❤️🥰🥰🥰😍😍👍👍👍😍😍😍🥰🥰❤️❤️🥰😍😍😍👍👍👍👍
❤
All his concerts are fantastic !!!!!!🎉🎉
Yes it was an amazing concert. The very best live performer in Australia in his time.
Hope you are feeling better. Whispering jack concert Aussie legend!!!!

Yay! What a ripper
He's amazing 👏
When the War is Over or looking through a Tear (just discovered this one). Both are ballads and showcase his voice beautifully. Great reaction. X

Yes it's amazing. Also the 2003 Ringside tour version of that son & Bow River by Cold Chisel are amazing.
I heard on the radio today that John is fine after surgery (23 surgeons btw). He is happy that he will be able to attend his sons wedding. :)
Love to hear that!!
It was I was there
Every concert was the same. He was always incredible and always sang live best of all
Back in the days when people actually got to enjoy concerts without having the distraction of their mobile phones or like you guys say Cell phones
I used to take my big ass old camera. But usually forgot to take pictures as I was so wrapped up in the performances
Oh wow is it “mobile phones” everywhere else besides the US?
@@themeagler yes I believe so lol
Now you know why he's called "The Voice".
That young girl would now be in her forties showing her kids this video.
Magnificent !!!

What an amazing concert too been at.
Entertained for almost 3 hours of pure adrenaline rush.
PS I’m certain this same concert was sold out 14 times. 😱
Love your reaction 😊❤
He had surgery from MOUTH CANCER last August and still in hospital recuperating
Amazing live performer. Allways in pitch never a wrong note eventhough he is running around on stage all the time. And they had no tecnical support such as pitch correction and autotuner, stuf like that .Just pure talent.
Next one to look at led zeppelin black dog will probably only fined a recording his warm up song lol
Got it written down 😁
Next.... His sound check song. John Farnham - Black dog (Led Zeppelin cover)
Wrote this down 😁

You have great songs from Jimmy Barnes too: Lazy and Stone cold, they are 💥! You have another, of course 😃, from John: Its a long way to the top 💥.
That girl that ran on stage must be in her fifties now, and I can't help but wonder if she tells her grandkids about it now.
I wonder if anyone's ever found out who that girl was that ran on stage for a kiss??🤔
🙂 *Promo SM*!!
