One of Sam's most helpful techniques is to tell the abusers introject to shut up. Also talk to yourself about the things you loved before you ever met the abuser. Tell yourself "I love marshmallows, or I love Big Bang theory" etc etc etc. whatever you loved before they infested your mind.

I kept the abuse secret so reality testing was so difficult for me.

      That's how the infestation thrives.

The day I opened up about the abuse, i felt safe.
Because of something were to happen to me, fingers would point to my abuser.
That in itself would be a deterrent, because his image was at risk, and he would leave me alone.

You open my eyes and mind to narcissism, narcissistic abuse, and cluster B personality disorders and I'm very thankful for the wealth of free knowledge and wisdom you have and continue to give us all. 💚

10:19 Sometimes I panic in abusive situations and lash out. This tip is therefore worth its weight in gold for me.

One of the worst narcissists in my life didn't ask me what I want in a restaurant when it was out second date

Maybe he thought u would just give your order to the waitress & order for yourself. Did he tell u what he was going to eat & order?

@teresadvorak6145 when the waiter came up he said "we are odereing this tea and this pizza", so... I felt uncomfortable to add anything to that

Thank you. You are helping so many people Professor Vaknin. You’re part of the reason I am still alive today. The abuser is not but I am healing and recovering through the tools I’ve been learning and you have taught me so much.

I really enjoyed this video. I love your interviews they are so good, and it's good to here the same information from your previous told again similarly, it really smooths out understanding what is being talked about. Also enjoyed the quiz, fun times.

I appreciate the ladies, living what you apparently have moved beyond… but wow, I applaud professor Sam, ( saving time), your ability to remain calm and focused with the, “ great answer” I can’t… I appreciate you Sam and ladies, breath before you speak with such a man. I do however appreciate your sisterhood.
