Human Trafficking - Operation Reckoning

The Sacramento County Sheriff’s Office Special Investigations Bureau, SAFE Task Force, along with North and Central POP Teams, capped off January’s Human Trafficking Awareness Month with Operation Reckoning. Partnering with several agencies including DOJ, Sacramento County Probation, Sacramento County Regional Park Rangers, California Parole, Family Justice Center, Previous Lives Foundation, and Capital Stars, the Sheriff’s Office remains committed to fight child prostitution and human trafficking.

Praying for these Operations Reckoning efforts and asking others to join. The fight against the worst evils in mankind is not for the faint of heart. It seems like there should be a tens of thousands of views here from Sacramentans cheering this effort on but I rest in knowing that saving one child from horror is all the attention needed. I take great comfort knowing there is a special place in hell for sex traffickers.
I rode with SSD out of central division, and we worked the area in So Sac by Walmart. Girls so young turning tricks nearly made me sick. I'm a girl dad myself and there was no way to comprehend what I was witnessing. I always knew it to be true but seeing in 1st hand was rough. I'm an old hard a$$ and this got to be because it's kids. Not adults looking like kids, but mere children. Bless these deputies for doing a job nobody wants to have to do.

That's a good question. In my opinion, I doubt it. These seem to be special operations that I don't think the office wants civilians in. Maybe because it's a lot of coordinating. But it's worth asking and seeing if they allow it
