From what it might appears, seem like the stroke is only trying to align itself to fit the camera view but not within the editor itself... That's why I sees such offset
do you know how I can make it so I can draw directly on the object? Ik I can just do that with texture paint but I want to animate the lines and idk if im able to do that with texture paint
Add another grease pencil, then in draw mode go to the tab at the top which currently says origin. Change it to surface and set the offset to something tiny. you can now draw directly on the object
@@GaskinDev It also increases the thickness a lot, I also tried to see if it was visible in the rendering and nothing, I don't know if it's because I don't have an active addon, because the modifier is represented as when you select an object that is represented by the yellow lines typical blender, but the thickness as such of the lineart is not visible
Freestyle is sloooooooow as f. With a RTX card very complex scene renders faster with cycles path-tracer than Freestyle draw the lines!!! Problem is that, even Grease Pencil outlines are way, way faster than freestyle, it still is too slow. If you build any actual scene those GP line art will bog down camera view, and need to be turn off when modeling or changing camera view. It's faster to use f*ing Inverted Hulls than FS or GP!!! (IH look like shit most cases)
This is actually the only tutorial that helped me, the backface solidify thing everyone else showing didn't work for me. Thank you!
thanks so much! also you can lock the "camera to view" in the view tab and it will seems that the contour is in 3D
thank you so much is a really nice video and you did not skip anything. It was very easy to follow!!
mind blown! Thank you so much!
I've had some issue with the lineart always offset itself from the model whenever I am doing this, like it just offset over to the right...

it was useful. thanks
Thank you so much

Thank you! I will try this when I get home
Hey , how can i get the border lines out my final render . i dont know why this keeps happening
Go to grease pencil in the top right window and click the camera to hide from render
👌
bro, I can't see the line art, it looks represented with the typical blender yellow lines, but I can't see the line art and I have the camera active.
you might not have set the thickness high enough

Thank you, but why is your voice shifting from left to right and back all the time. Really bothers me.
Use freestyle line art instead

Guys just check the freestyle option and you're done
Yes but that is not as customisable :)
@@GaskinDev but way fast
Line Art with Grease Pencil is supposed to supersede freestyle as far as I know
@@KuruGDI ofc since it takes so much customisation and effort...but freestyle is more worth the effort
Please go slower!
