Hello my beautiful friends! I want to take a moment to acknowledge what is going on in the world and quickly talk about the viral pandemic we are all dealing with. This channel will continue to post makeup videos and hopefully provide a few minutes of respite from the incredibly heavy topics of the moment. Please know that while Makeup Just For Fun carries on as usual online, myself (real life Amanda) and my family are taking this seriously. We have the supplies we need and we are able to work from home and keep our son out of school which gives us the ability to practice complete social distancing. Being able to prepare our home (NOT stockpile, just the things our family needs to survive at home) and work remotely is a huge privilege that I wholeheartedly acknowledge and I know not everyone has. Many are required to go to their workplace in order to earn the paycheck they need to survive, need to go out to receive medical treatments, etc. and I hope that all of you will be protected by the actions of the others around you. I know it is not feasible for everyone but PLEASE PLEASE stay home as much as you can. For the time being, please skip drinks with friends, skip the mall or playdate or restaurant outing. It is frustrating but all of us can truly make a difference by flattening the curve and protecting those most vulnerable. This will absolutely lessen the burden on our hospitals and it will absolutely save lives. We can't stop it but we can slow it down enough to help our fellow humans survive. It's crazy to me how they discontinued most of the creme lipsticks from last year's spring collection. The ones that came out with the Sweet Talk palette. I have them and I love them so much. Makes me sad to think that other people can't enjoy them and that I won't be able to replace them. They're all beautiful x
I adore the Velvet Blue and made it my mission to collect more (when they’re open again). CA Love & Lucky Strike are my favorites. Doin Fine matte always gets compliments.
I really like these videos!!! your swatch videos are really informative for me especially with lipsticks and colourpop shadows. I would really like to see a video done on some lipsticks that you would reccomend for different skin tones and also other ideas, maybe also a video on how to pick your shade depending on your makeup
I only have 5 of the lux lipsticks, but I am in love with all of them. I have Ariel, Dr. Facilier, Y2K, 27, and Chocolatier. I really prefer the velvet blur formula. This video really helped me cross some off my wishlist (the swatches on their website make Oasis and 21 Questions seem so much more muted and wearable for me), so you helped me save some money :D
Wow, so much work!! Thank you for doing this, it is SO HELPFUL!!! I don’t know if this would kill your arm, but would you consider doing videos like this if the other lipstick formulas, especially the liquid and blotted lips? (And that one they released recently for the most recent Disney collabs). I just almost never wear “regular” lipstick because I don’t want to be bothered worrying if it’s worn off, smeared, etc. The just a tints would be cool to see too! Actually, I think this would be a fascinating way to see all your super shocks and jelly muchs if you felt up to it!! I’d LOVE to see all of those compared, plus just drool over the beautiful colors and finishes 😊 Thank you so much for doing all this, it’s going to help so many of us in our selection!! 💖💕💖
This is so helpful! Thank you! It’s easier for me to tell subtle differences this way, instead of just lip swatches. Also lip swatches are altered by the natural shade of the lips which can make it harder to discern the actual lipstick color.
It would be cool to see some BYOP videos that recreate the color stories of existing CP palettes w/out the pressed glitter shades, i.e. perfecting 'almost perfect' cp palettes

My favorite finish is the Velvet Blur but I realized I get a similar finish when blotting the Creme ones with my finger! I'm currently in love with CA Love, Y2K and Lay Over. More videos like this would be great! most colourpop photos of their lipsticks are so inaccurate 😅 and comparisons are always scattered here and there so it's great to see all shades swatched together. I'd love to see drugstore favorites too!

Flower season is my absolute favorite! It's just so bright and happy! Also I learned a great tip thar works especially well with the lux blur lipsticks. Line your lips with eyeshadow! I never would have thought of this but it works like a dream!❤️

Lay Over is one of my favorite lipsticks ever. It’s such a beautiful pink brownish shade on me. I finished it a few months ago and have been wanting to buy it again, but I do have so many other lipsticks to use. 😬
Video Ideas: drug store favs, half drug store half high end face, best of brands (nars, cp, Mac etc) pulling out old palettes, let your kiddo pick your makeup, different themes of makeup spring, wedding, festival etc.

I would love to see similar videos for other collections you have a lot of shades for, but I realize that this a lot of work. And I love drugstore favorites so that would be really fun to watch!
I loved this!! The only Colourpop Lux Lipsticks I own are from the Safiya Nygaard collab.This makes me want to get more use out of those. I favorited this video so I can refer back to it once Colourpop's back up and running. Thanks for posting!

Wow, this video must have taken you hours and hours. Hats off. .. I've just checked my collection and I literally have x2 of the Lux Lipsticks. Both being from the KL collection. I really like the Scorpio Moon shade in swatch, but in my lips it turns into a real vampy shade.

I really like the Lux lipstick formula - Moody Bloom and Berry Me In Lipsticks are two of my favorites and I laughed to myself when you swatched them riiiiiiight next to each other. Video ideas - makeup you've changed your mind about or updates on past favorites - do you still use them? (maybe past yearly faves?)
My favorite Lux Lipstick is Foolish...one of the best orange terracotta colors ever! An idea for a video: Look back on a video from 2017, 18 and so on and recreate the look in that video with the same products (if you have them and are still good) then tell us if you like the items still or if there is something better that you found and like more...just a thought or do a palette smackdown where you take one palette and compare it to another one that has similar colors and tell us which one you like more and why.

It may irritate some people, but it would be interesting to see you BYOP from across palettes. Creating color stories from the palettes people may already have but never considered pairing together
I don't know what's happening on the Colourpop website, but they have very, very few lipstick shades available for sale. I wonder if they are doing a package relaunch, or getting rid of tube lipsticks in general. Weird.
Does anyone know why Colourpop has discontinued so many previously permanent shades? Like shades from the original release of the Lux Lipsticks are discontinued - that makes no sense to me!

Thank you for doing this! I really like their creme formula and have 6 shades. Ariel is my most used but my favorite shade is probably Little Snow.
