Once a muslim asked me to speak with him in private after I made a lot of jokes (not nice ones tbh). He politely asked me to stop because in islam you can’t be friends with someone who mocks you constantly. Out of respect I stopped saying jokings about islam. Tbh these guys I know (muslims) are literally the most respectful people I’ve ever known. No joke they took care of me when my car got stolen and when I got fired of my job they gave me a place to sleep for literally 7 months. They made me dinner and breakfast and were very sad the day I left. Thanks to these muslims I’ve learned so much about respect, hospitality, religion & brotherhood. Now im a Muslim after all these years

I’m not sure if you’re saying that’s good or bad but I like him for it. It shows respect. Some things are funny and some things are serious. Gotta know where to go and where not to go with jokes in real life. A comedy club is another story but in real life people have boundaries

I'm a Christian and I fully support someones rights to make jokes about Christianity, especially if the person you're joking with is on the same page as you. That doesn't mean I tolerate blatant disrespect of my religion, but I'm fully capable of laughing about something that we as flawed people struggle to fully comprehend when it comes to religion.
But I think saying one religion should be off limits is pretty dumb and sorta disrespectful to all religions, including the one that is off limits.
That being said, I do think it's the responsibility of those who practice a religion, to defend that religion if someone does try to actually discredit their belief. But I don't think that's what comedians are trying to do. Most of the time, the comedians are what you're laughing at because of their absurd view of something like religion, politics, culture, etc.

Criticizing is very different than mocking. You can criticize or disagree with religious ideologies, but don't make fun of someone religious beliefs in the name of "freedom of speech"

I as a Muslim don’t accept anyone mocking my religion and any other religion, in the Quran it says don’t curse or make fun of someone else’s religion that they might mock god without knowledge.

Of course, people are allowed to critique Islam and its ideals and values, there are thousands of videos just here on UA-cam alone that showcase both those who are critical of the faith, as well as those refuting the arguments against Islam. Not to mention the millions upon millions of articles either criticizing Islam or defending it, as well as the plethora of debates happening between Muslims and others of a different belief or faith. All of those are done peacefully and respectfully (even though I do admit there are a few Muslims out there who give us a bad name now and then).
As for the blasphemy laws you've mentioned, they were put specifically in place to prevent any sort of disrespect towards our prophet (pbuh) and Allah (SWT). But I do understand your concerns as if right now there are many Middle Eastern countries (which are usually the richest) that would use such laws to imprison whom they believe as "disrespecting the faith" just to shut them and lock em up as fast as they can.
