the captures lose a little bit of the airy top. i've noticed that on the jp-2c captures, as well. even though, all in all, they sound great. there's some elasticity, openness, and clarity of articulation that goes on in the real thing, without harshness, which is the magic part. that is lost, a little, in the captures. but it's really close - more of a nuance thing.
Man that's really impressive! I downloaded and will definiiitely give a try! I can hear a small difference but tbh in the mix I can't tell the difference at all.
Thank you so much. I probably should have specified that I am using a Bogren Digital IR from the downtuned set. It is called the Erectifier 🤣 bogrendigital.com/collections/impulse-responses/products/rhythm-ir-downtuned
Seemed to me a little tweaking to the NAM eq would get you closer... it was brighter for sure at least. I doubt in a blind test almost anyone would really tell or care about the difference though. Both sound great
Definitely, without a point of reference to the real amp there would really be no way to say for certain if it were the real thing or not. Thanks for watching!
yeah it seemed to have a little more presence to it too. I was thinking the same thing. Now in the intro on the other hand though, it seems like it was different in attack. Either way, this is as close as anyone is getting for now, and it's free! Thanks to guys like Paul for making this community work! :)
sounds like the plugin has less midrange and less defined high end, but so close that I'm pretty sure with a little bit of EQ you can make them sound identical
A minimal difference in the sound in how thick the bottom end is in the palm mutes. Outside of that it's Tremendous. To think you can have it in a FREE plugin is just insane. Wish I had this when I was starting out. I could afford an audio interface but not amps. It's still not AS GOOD as an amp, but the progress is definitely there.
Definitely a small difference, but it is nice to be able to test out different amp models that other people have posted, as well as have a quick and convenient way of recording with my amp tones without having to fire up the real thing.
@@PMJmetal Without doubt. Also to be able to change the amp settings through captures so quickly without having to run DIs through different settings on the amp when you want to change something.
Hi Paul, thanks for that great video! Meanwhile there is the dimehead nam in ahardware version. Is it possible to load your captures of the satan into it? And if it is possible what do I need for doing that? Geetings from the harz mountains Uwe
I love this nam stuff and it's pretty great but the amp still sounds alot better imo. I don't feel nam quite captures the dynamics across the frequency spectrum. Randall sounds more 3 dimensional cuz of it. Still it's badass though.
There are definitely some differences, but overall I feel like it’s a totally usable capture. Similar to how any high end modeler would sound compared to an amp. Thanks for watching!
Dude, you're awesome! Thanks a lot for sharing all the captures. Also your playing is really great!
Not a problem, I am happy to see people are enjoying them. Thanks so much!
Sounds gnarly! I can't wait to try it.
super stoked to try this one.. Hell yeah!!
Thanks for watching, I hope you dig the captures!
I made an IR of your 'just guitars' section and awesome w/ the profiles. tnx bro
this is amazing, you are one of my face profile creators. Can't wait for more!
I appreciate it!
Like the Low tuned capture! With a clean boost and Powerball on another track it creates an awesome bond. Thanks!
That sounds like an absolutely devastating combo. Glad you’re digging the capture. Thanks for watching!
You are doing a great job. Thanks for these amps.
Thank you, glad you are enjoying them.
Keep it going dude, as long as I've known you you've been shredding, can't wait to try this one out.
Thanks man, much appreciated!
Thank you! Bad ass playing and production once again man! Keep it up!
Thanks so much!
Wicked playing!
Thank you!
I hear more brightness with the NAM capture. Still though its very close and sounds legit. Good job.
I actually feel like there are a few times where it sits a little better in the mix because of it. Pretty interesting.
Very nice job with your captures keep it going you're doing good.
Much appreciated!
Great playing and fantastic video, thanks for the captured, i'm excited to try them!
Thank you, I hope you enjoy them!

Awesome! I hope you enjoy the tones, thanks for watching!
1:47 it goes from sounding meaty and powerful, to subdued😤
Keep doing it!!!!! You got it. ❤
Awesome sounds amazing.
🤘🎸💥
I appreciate it, thanks for watching!
Thank you very much!
Man I appreciate the hell out of you !
Thank you, I appreciate YOU checking out my vid! 😁
hell yeah! very close! and super playing btw
thx for sharing.
Are you using IR from the market or yours?
Thank you so much. I probably should have specified that I am using a Bogren Digital IR from the downtuned set. It is called the Erectifier 🤣

@@PMJmetal yes got this pack already. really nice for instant mix result. but to jam along I m more with the OTTO irs
Thanks for sharing
Thx a lot for this super charger train!
Thanks for watching.
Cheers again 😊

Really cool channel !!
Thank you!

Yep, they are definitely very close, especially considering this is a free, open source plug in. Thanks for watching!

Geetings from the harz mountains
Uwe
I don’t know too much about the hardware, but if it supports NAM captures it should load my captures I’d imagine. Thanks for watching!
hey do you plan on releasing any Randall Satan captures on Tonex?
great playing! tnx for video! which one reamp box you used?
Thanks so much! I did not use a reamp box since the amp has a raw output, so I used that direct into my interface.
🤘🤘🤘🤘🎸🎸From Hell. It's Amazing Sound.
Can you do the chug pedal next
That’d be cool, I was looking at that pedal. Maybe I will pick one up and make some captures of it.
@Paul Jacovino oh and since u have a Randall Satan you should you capture the metalzone through the effects loop
Great fucking tone 🤟🏻 gain one more subscriber .
Thanks so much!

What's the song you're playing for the demo?
Nothing yet, just something I wrote for the demo.
ola said in a video, he wanted to be free off sponsors so he can delve into other amps, though this amp is still his favorite.. his words.
I tried your capture and it has way too much gain. I turned the input all the way down and it's still too much
Weird, seemed to work fine for me. Might be a difference of pickups, or just a matter of taste. Thanks for checking it out anyway.
Thanks for not using Facebook 🙏🏾
won’t sound good without the real amp and speaker combination
