Formal n Elegant but yet relaxing. Definitely spot on with era of house. Artwork looks good. Personally though I believe the wallpaper is artwork in itself. Absolutely Gorgeous.
OMG. You can't be serious. Matching the colours to the wallpaper doesn't make it a good work of art. It looks cheap and the scale is off. It's dreadful, to say the least.
It would be nice to have the original air date, or at least year, listed in the description. I'm pretty sure from the hairstyles, this was filmed some time ago. Really enjoyable to watch.
I love that wallpaper but not so much the white wood and I felt that with the table closed the room seemed crowded with chairs. I did like the artwork very much.
I would have never chosen the artwork that Sarah did. The client did much better. And I think I would have picked a blue flower for the table arrangement.
It's great. Table is the most beautiful piece. But in terms of Arts & Crafts, it's pure craftmanship is lost amongst all the high backed chairs. The panelling left dark, with a light W Morris wallpaper, would have enhanced the elite panels and allowed the table to shine. (IMO)
I love the wallpaper and the artwork could have been more modern and non-matchy colors. I think the light fixtures should be modern, they’re too fussy.
Sarah and Tommy designed their adjoining living room a season sooner in Design Inc! Why do they act as though their total strangers? As though we’d not remember the amazing work?
I think the chair have a flat look with that fabric, art piece blends with the paper and the buffet's gold candles and vase of sticks doesn't do the beautiful buffet any justice.
I love Sarah and have been watching her for decades, but she had me frowning like crazy in this episode, thinking, what’s up with her? And then I realized she was pregnant 😂.
The homeowner is making a giant mistake painting the wood work when she goes to sell she will find people will want the wood. Once you paint it you can't go back. Painted white looks terrible unless you used cheap wood like pine ,if it's oak or walnut or mahogany leave it alone. She Painted all the wood white and put dark furniture in the room.
@@thehungrygoldfish It's an historic house, people who respect history want original details, they devalued the house by painting the wood work, they will care when they go to sell and get offered less money because of the details not being original.,it's like painting the white house, orange. If you want a modern decor you don't buy a historic house and paint it neon .
@@beverlydust5381 Then, again, find someone who doesn't respect history. Forget about all of these people who love wood and history. Don't appeal to those people. Focus on the people that will love white woodwork and gray floors and stainless steal appliances with granite counters.
I cannot believe, they painted all the woodwork 🤮 A GOOD interior designer would have explained to the client, that saving the original woodwork, and even restoring, would add to the value of the house longterm!! A GOOD interior designer would have been able to bring light and freshness into these rooms, using wallpaper, fabrics and furniture choices. Painting everything is such an amateur move... And then, she even chooses to paint the wood white - and then put very dark wallpaper up?? 😑 I could keep on going.... Disappointing!
Sarah did a room where the homeowner insisted keeping all of the woodwork, and it was literally the worst room design I've ever seen EVER. It was dark and horrible and the woodwork just swallowed everything that was in the room, even the light from the FLOOR TO CEILING WINDOWS. You would literally die if you saw how horrible the room was.
@@thehungrygoldfish Well, as i said... if the only way of creating lightness In a room, is painting original woodwork - that is a good sign of a BAD decorator.
@@bigboy77dk You can't add much light to a room if the entire room is covered in dark paneling though. Also, the room Sarah decorated was an office, so there was a lot of wood furniture and white/colorful furniture would look out of place. And the homeowner probably wanted wood everything anyway. The room was doomed to begin with.
Many years later, that remains an absolutely beautiful dining room.
Well done, Tommy and Sarah! This is a keeper. I'm glad to see William Morris making a comeback.
That wallpaper is glorious. Wow
Tommy was run through the wringer on this one. He can come design for me any time. The room is so elegant yet livable.
He doesn’t come cheap though. Remember, he likes expensive things and you have to pay for it! lol

Tommy is adorable, love the room.
What a fantastic remake!! Sarah's older stuff is really great!
Beautiful. Appreciate the collaboration, the adjustments made when things did work and the amazing result.

My husband's an architect who also does interiors. He LOVES Wm. Morris papers, even putting it in our bedrm.

Love the artwork! The customer was right on this one!

Finally something elegant yet not boring and not like the colour and pattern bomb exploded ;)
there is a real timeless feeling to this room. well done Sarah.
I looove Tommy!!
Love Sarah too. But can't listen to Sarah without Tommy's quick riffing!
One of Sarah’s best!
Gorgeous room. I have ~always~ wanted a William Morris dining room
Absolutely beautiful.
We have some william Morris curtains and some wallpaper I love the way you can mix william morris with other styles. He was a super talented guy.
An incredible amount of coordination. And, people skills.
I love watching your videos and your calm funny sense of humor. Wish I could borrow you both. Thank you.
Love this wallpaper!
🌟~Another "Wow" room!! So beautiful! ... Love!
~Sarah & Tommy! Gold! 💫
Yay! Thank you!
I cringed when they said 'paint the paneling' but I love the result, and especially the William Morris paper, with all the other design choices.
It would be nice to have the original air date, or at least year, listed in the description. I'm pretty sure from the hairstyles, this was filmed some time ago. Really enjoyable to watch.
Love it❤ its light,its classy.
Beautiful dinning room. 💘 the table 😊
Love this room! Well done by Sarah, as always! :)
Sue here: love it !!!
she really loves green.
Gorgeous! Love Morris designs
Thumbs up before it even begins ☺️
I love that wallpaper but not so much the white wood and I felt that with the table closed the room seemed crowded with chairs. I did like the artwork very much.
This is beautiful!!
Lovely dining room …so relaxing and tranquil great for conversation. (The artwork was not needed).
I agree
Wall paper was quite busy
Love the overall look and design
Great ideas.
Abode - You are making my week, every week, now, THANK YOU! :D - How about some more for Christmas? lol (Sorry to be cheeky, lol) :D :D :D
Thumbs up before we even get into it. ☺️

Let Tommy have a break Sarah
that wallpaper uggh! reminds me of christmas wrapping paper

❤
Ooh la la. I want to have Yorkshire pudding and roast beef and gravy at that table.
which year it is?
Poor Tommy! 😭
I know?! I found her rather harsh with him.
I tried liking the wallpaper, but I just don't... too busy.

Very pretty but the top is too dark you took the dark from the bottom and put it on top I don't see the difference in that
Approaching Danger: Tommy with a drill in one hand with cellphone talking in the other while lying on the floor under a client's dining table.
I think the chair have a flat look with that fabric, art piece blends with the paper and the buffet's gold candles and vase of sticks doesn't do the beautiful buffet any justice.
👍
Its about time Sarah uses some good rich colors instead of all that white, cream, orange, pink and those other whimsey colors she always uses.
The curtains need to be steamed
Love Sarah and Tommy, Background music too loud, so annoying. Want to watch this to hear what they say not to hear music!
I hate reproductions of antique prints when they are obviously enlarged by 400% from the originals.
Really, Sarah. You threw Tommy under the bus when you didn’t bother to tell him what you wanted in the first place. No, no - that wasn’t a question…
I love Sarah and have been watching her for decades, but she had me frowning like crazy in this episode, thinking, what’s up with her? And then I realized she was pregnant 😂.
Sarah, why would we continue to watch the video if you show us the final result at the beginning? It kind of ruins it for me.
Not my taste at all, but it looks good for the right client.
It’s not supposed to be to your taste. You’re not the client! lol
The wallpaper is hideous. The table doesn’t match the decor
