....That colour palette !! Grown up, classy, lovely ...dare I say ' sexy ' as well (!!??) It is an underutilized palette that exudes a sense of " wow" without being overdone or " too much "in the space . Understated elegance meets form and function. Gorgeous!! I know she enjoyed the end results... Well done, Sarah, Tommy , Lindsey, and crew ! Y' all nailed it ..👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻💫💫🙂💯💃🏼💃🏼💃🏼
Love all of Sarah's work - my favorites are the cottage renos because I am always working on mine - hoping to find new inspiration plus just wonderful people- so fun.
The more I see, the more I want Sarah to have a go at my place. Love the bold color choices. The chair color is a perfect pop, and the brown mohair is so sophisticated. Lindsey is one lucky young woman.
Love it. When I have had to work with a dark room I went chocolate because painting it light didn’t make it look larger. The chocolate embraced it. When we sold it was the favorite room. The lookers all said they would never have done it but loved it.
How come the place looks so much bigger with more furnishings. I love how original it is, and not cookie cutter. Sarah come to my small condo, if you are interested. 😆
This room came out really nice and will probably stand today (12/2021). I was hoping there would be some type of room divider between the front room and bedroom though.
I thought it was pretty funny that they forgot to get permission to change out the kitchen cabinets, as they were installing the new ones.I think the individual renting should have taken care of that before agreeing to the make over. The team did come up with some good practical ideas and not to expensive.ones at that.
Great reno! Although your average renter wouldn't have the cash or the time to replace the kitchen cabinets!!! Love the stripes on the wall, and the remnant carpeting is great for reducing noise in an apartment. Alas, the videography at the end was like looking through a kaleidoscopic. IMO, the view and the balcony, essential to a small apartment, were overlooked. The drapes were fabulous from what I could see.
Although I hate brown furniture, drapes, counter tops, the arrangement and your accent color was great 👍🏽, so was the sofa except for the color.. smart idea about the chair and the not really coffee table
I wish they had shown the view from the front door b/c it appeared as if you walked in - to the bedroom and the 'living room' area was beyond that space.
I'm confused. It's says her tiny NYC flat but I see the CN Tower in TORONTO within the first 5 minutes (3:35 to be exact) and at 4:03 the tattoo sign has a phone number starting with area code 416 which for sure is Toronto. Sooooo, Ummm what???
I think they were referring to the style as a Tiny NYC flat, because there are alot of bachelor/studio apartments in NYC Another words small with no separate bedroom. Nice to know that Toronto has the same thing.
katef...haven't watched the video yet, but wish original date of reno would be added to these clips for historical interest...spoken by someone who has magazines dating back to 1998!
The room is amazing, but I kept wondering if the rest of her house was still stuck in the 80s. That is always the problem with making such an amazing transformation...then the rest of the house just won't do anymore. I guess that might be a great problem to have.
Ok, a rental. To me that means that you must keep any item (s) that you c remove-change. With that said, where will Sarah store those items she takes out?
i m sorry but to make the girl work like a horse on her own place is not cool. and to install new cabinets in a rental IS NOT budget friendly and there was a much much cheaper way to upgrade the kitchen. This is very very old show when Sarah was probably just starting out cause the arm chair is too large for the space and kichen could have had additional counter space if planned out right. the place is gorgeous but surely has nothing to do with being budget friendly
Ok, enlighten me, How do you change up a kitchen without replacing or painting the cabinets? You’re not changing up a kitchen if you’re not doing anything to the cabinets. You need to do more than just replacing the cabinet pulls and buying cute kitchen towels lol
They wanted to go on the 'cheap' so they buy and $800.+ couch? I couldn't finish this video, usually Sarah does so well on most of her designs but didn't like this one at all.
Thank you for doing a small apartment. Most people have this problem. Love it.
....That colour palette !! Grown up, classy, lovely ...dare I say ' sexy ' as well (!!??) It is an underutilized palette that exudes a sense of " wow" without being overdone or " too much "in the space . Understated elegance meets form and function. Gorgeous!!

Feels luxurious
Love all of Sarah's work - my favorites are the cottage renos because I am always working on mine - hoping to find new inspiration plus just wonderful people- so fun.
And now Lindsay is a design partner with a whole house 😊 I hope she has a copy of this episode for the memories
Sarah added lots of style to that teeny studio apartment. I wish the episode had ended with seeing the superintendent’s reaction to the changes.
Yeah, I was thinking she'd get a break on the rent or something
The more I see, the more I want Sarah to have a go at my place. Love the bold color choices. The chair color is a perfect pop, and the brown mohair is so sophisticated. Lindsey is one lucky young woman.
Design Inc. is just fabulous. Thank you again Abode for bringing Sarah to us!
The studio apartment turned out so cute and homey. I'm sure Lindsey is grateful to have such a great team to work for.
I like the new little kichen the most. The wall paper board is so arty and with the chandelier it looks so sophisticated.
I love that pink chair. Please keep adding these episodes.
Hey Carsy, Loads more Sarah to Come!
Love it! Color scheme, seating area with bed, kitchen update, lighting- all beautiful and looks expensive!
We agree!
This apartment looks fabulous, chic, lush colors, and quite livable and enjoyable for anyone.
Looks very French! Both in size and style!❤️ how kind of Sarah to remodel her intern’s apartment! ❤️
An appreciative boss, wow. That was so nice of her to do that for Lindsay. And the apartment looks so great.
Thank you for the SMALL makeovers.
Love it. When I have had to work with a dark room I went chocolate because painting it light didn’t make it look larger. The chocolate embraced it. When we sold it was the favorite room. The lookers all said they would never have done it but loved it.
Comfy/ glam , splashy/ luxe
Yes yes yes yes ✅✅✅✅
So beautiful. Headboard is my favorite ❤❤❤
I love the chocolate and purple combination.
Looks great! So kind and thoughtful to help her out like you all did! Team work! ❤️❤️
We agree!
Tommy is so 😁 funny. And "He's so rich" must be a scene from Pride and Prejudice. Colors remind me of chocolate covered cherries
I love this show so much. Always good advice and makes me laugh every time.
Always loved this one!
Lindsay is so cute!
I wonder where she's at now? Lindsay, are you out there???
This is super cute. Would it not be nice if all landlords would allow people to be able to design their small apartments!
I adore Sarah’s style. I have done for about twenty years now. ☺️🙏🏼🇦🇺🍷🐨
Absolutely terrific!!
Beautiful!! 💖🤗💖
She's one lucky employee to have a teensy apartment become a showcase.
So beautiful.
I would be so happy to live here!
That's a great point Judith, Bedroom divider would've been really effective....
Love love love it all.
So good.
That apt is Huge by NY standards! Looks beautiful!
I thought it was pretty funny that they forgot to get permission to change out the kitchen cabinets, as they were installing the new ones.I think the individual renting should have taken care of that before agreeing to the make over. I think the experienced decorator should've anticipated that.
@@eviekleinwhittingham9237 Their childish banter makes me suspect lack of expertise.
It looks amazing!
Whooooo hooooo a treat - I am about to watch, thank you :D
Yay, thank you! What did you think?
Gorgeous!
gorgeous intern!
So Beautiful!
Not even close.
Very nice!
Although I hate brown furniture, drapes, counter tops, the arrangement and your accent color was great 👍🏽, so was the sofa except for the color.. smart idea about the chair and the not really coffee table
Beautiful 😍
I'd be that person yelling out the car window 😂 "I'm a fan!"; ever since she was a guest on Niks 'Savoir Faire' 🥰
I am still laughing about "the chicklet" bed!
Fabulous!
Wow!
I wish they had shown the view from the front door b/c it appeared as if you walked in - to the bedroom and the 'living room' area was beyond that space.
I loved this..
I love the apt! I want to live there.
nice colors, though my favorite things are the coffee tables and Lindsays hair.
You can't use the stove with the new table and chairs where they are.
I remember the room service days when tommy was a client
Please More colors more florals something to make it homey and pretty
Nice!!, but as i commented on other clips. Where is the TV ????
Not everyone has a tv, hon, lol
I'm confused. It's says her tiny NYC flat but I see the CN Tower in TORONTO within the first 5 minutes (3:35 to be exact) and at 4:03 the tattoo sign has a phone number starting with area code 416 which for sure is Toronto. Sooooo, Ummm what???
This is definitely in Toronto! I recognize the area and the LLBO is in Ontario.
I think they were referring to the style as a Tiny NYC flat, because there are alot of bachelor/studio apartments in NYC Another words small with no separate bedroom. Nice to know that Toronto has the same thing.
Hey guys, we have changed this to save the confusion! Hope you enjoyed!
Love it!
The Tommy and Sarah Show! Hahaha
Like the landlord is going ti say , “Oh no, you can’t replace my ugly cabinets with nice new wooden ones”
That is nice. !!!!
Chic and classic. I don't mind it
Put washed slip covers back on when still damp
Love
How old is this!!?? It looks like the early 2000s!
Those old computers and flip phones take me back to when I was in middle school and high school
it was 2006
katef...haven't watched the video yet, but wish original date of reno would be added to these clips for historical interest...spoken by someone who has magazines dating back to 1998!
the brown and cream trend lololol
Maybe do the video of the apt a little 'slower' so it can show the whole design better 😊
Wow, how many bosses would do anything like this for their intern? NONE!
Looks good except too many bed pillows. ..
The room is amazing, but I kept wondering if the rest of her house was still stuck in the 80s. That is always the problem with making such an amazing transformation...then the rest of the house just won't do anymore. I guess that might be a great problem to have.
Ooops. This comment was from a previous video I saw and this video started up, so disregard my previous comment. My bad.
At least post the Year it was filmed and call it a Flashback.
I'm getting big 2007 vibes...
I don't understand why these reveals are so piecemeal and so fast. It's as though they don't want the viewer to see what's really going on.
Ok, a rental. To me that means that you must keep any item (s) that you c remove-change. With that said, where will Sarah store those items she takes out?
She does have a storage locker for her design castoffs lol
What the heck is “mohair”?
WISH they'd stripped the cottage cheese ceiling
It wouldn’t be worth doing it as a renter. Just deal with it and move on.
This was done years ago. Lindsay married, in a house and has a child.
Sorry but...It´s very old fashion. The dark chocolate it is too much!
To be fair, this is from like 20 years ago lol
I like the chick lit
Looks great but then again I wish she could do something without using pink, but she was designed for a female.
i m sorry but to make the girl work like a horse on her own place is not cool. and to install new cabinets in a rental IS NOT budget friendly and there was a much much cheaper way to upgrade the kitchen. They wanted to go on the 'cheap' so they buy and $800.+ couch? I couldn't finish this video, usually Sarah does so well on most of her designs but didn't like this one at all.
Given that she usually buys more expensive furniture, an $800 couch IS cheap for her lol.
Look so drab with this heavy brown everywhere….
Tommie wishes he had that body
yuk depressing
Ugly living room, looks like an old seventies with brown colours, urgh
That’s not 70s hon lol
