I got a runt when I was six. My parents took me to this huge house full of the breed we wanted. I was scared by all the dogs and sat on a sofa. A puppy lept on the table beside it, then on my lap, and stayed there during the entire visit. We visited two more times and she did the exact same thing. So of course we took her home. Even then we knew she was the "outcast". She was the smallest and got pushed away from the food by her siblings. With us she got happy and plump! By her behavior it's almost as if she wanted to be taken by me, or maybe she was just that social.
It's only come to light now that the puppy who my friend chose is the runt...next to his siblings...when we went to pick him up..was yes smaller in body ...but what struck me most was that the light that shone through his eyes was with such a look that bore through my soul that the others didn't ...like a Yoda! In the car he turned his eyes and head as if seeing fire flies....in the unseen world...such a gentle soul and presence! The term runt needs to redefined....these dogs are such sensitive souls...it's as if their fadeness energy is a call for Upliftment and a sincere call that their dog families could not meet...but hopefully us guardians can? All of em deserve love to the maximum all the way through runt Alienated included! We are willing to support them we just need to know how...comprehensively and practically too. Thank you.

The biggest puppy in the litter turned out to be the smallest one after a year.

Create a script-- or at least an outline before filming. You start with a point then sometimes veer off.. dogs are obviously cute but this video didn't really include insightful information about runts

One Question, I'm getting a puppy this Saturday, he is the runt in the litter. Do their coordination and hip strength develop slow as well? He's having a little hip or back legs strength issue. He just turned 8 weeks old today Thursday. Will he strengthen more in next couple weeks as far as his back legs?

@@SkyyhealingReadsmylife The breeder should have a vet report on the puppy that has a grade on the concern. Runts are not just prone specifically to this.

Mine passed away. The vet said She could've at any point, but I didn't know that she'd just up and go after I've basically raised her. She didn't make it past two weeks, and she wasn't growing and was smaller than the rest of the litter...

Ya the runt has undeveloped eye opening. Ear space . Shoulder spance … they can has testicle / uterus / bladder issues ! Teeth space issues ! I hope you don’t charge the same !
I've been breeding Pitbulls since 1983 from experience it's not what they look like at 2 months old . It's how they eating between 2 months old to 2yrs old. There is no special food because if you buy the the highest cost dogfood and the puppy doesn't like it. You are screwed. My dogs seems to like Diamond Dogfood Naturals and regular Diamond Dogfood before the new formulas was created. Keep them on a puppy food for at least a year. My American Bulldogs, Rottweilers. The runt would be just as big as or bigger then pick of the litter. Your dog is only as good as the food it like. I have a English Bulldog puppy right now. He loves Walmart premium dogfood Salmon & sweet potatoes. Even the stray cats in the neighborhood I feed will eat the Salmon dogfood over the catfood I buy them. If my 4 Pitbulls leave some in the bowl. The cat risk they life to eat it. I don't breed dogs anymore. Ps I just walked pass the Walmart premium brand dry dogfood. It's Salmon & peas. The can food when I mix it is Aldi premium brand Salmon & sweet potatoes
