The blue makes the most beautiful paperweight so to speak, but the flashiness will grow old after a while. I would go with the black, it makes a solid “one and done” watch.
I really love the Blue Ceramic Aventurine. Tried it on in London Omega Boutique last year and almost went home with it. I have the steel version with Blue dial - as well as a couple of the newest Speedmasters, steel and Sedna Gold - could see myself adding this Aventurine with no regrets.
So weird i came across this video. I own both and love each one. But, the blue side with the aventurine dial is a watch i will never sell. In the sun its simply stunning. Omega is my favorite brand.

How accurate is that movement (9904) in real world? Thanks!
the Blue Side would be my grail if it wasn't so dang huge

Both are terrific, but I agree the aventurine is special.
Gotta go blue. Neither are for me, but I'd rather go big on it if either.
That Blue Side of the Moon is my grail. It's absolutely gorgeous. If only I had 15 grand to blow on a watch 😢
Both
Always!
Dark side. Much more versatile in my opinion. But I wouldn't kick the blue side off my wrist!
Both are beautiful, but the blue is breathtaking and gets my vote! Alas both are way too large for me.
Thank you for a wonderful review !
Thanks for viewing!
What do you suggest?
I love the aventurine.
Ooo thats a tuffy but i'd go with Darkside of Moon :)
if only they made a midsize version... *Ahem* Omega if you are reading this.
I still have no clue why omega doesn’t have a wave dial SMP in 39mm to compete with Tudor BB 58. The 39mm planet ocean is too thick to compete there.
