    You know something evil is afoot when Hans assumes the accent and becomes EuroHans

    • @madshaolin
      @madshaolin 6 місяців тому +10

      People forget that Hans has a Danish parent and family members as well as friends. His "Euro-Accent" --as you say--might just be bleed-over from speaking in another language for extended periods of time before coming to the game. As a heritage speaker of German, I can tell you that if I spend too much time around German speaking friends and family, one language affects the other--even if speaking English, you can pick up a native's accent from being around them speaking English. It's called linguistic parroting. Some people are immune from it, while others are not. Hans, like me, is a susceptible to this, obviously. In German, we call this "nachplappern" which is a funny word, but the phenomenon is real. People who move from the mid-West to New York or to the South can find themselves picking up the local sound, even if unintentionally. Either you are given to this strange thing, or you're not.

      @@madshaolin noone switches it on and off like that though. its extremely weird. Its almost like he is going into character. Which makes people think he has no problem with the game turning into scripted entertainment rather than a valid sport. And the timing of St Louis Banning him right after he did that is very strange. So either Han started cheating online to get attention thinking it would get him an invite from St Louis and he started pestering them , or they came to the same conclusions I have and figured they better not invite them to their tournaments or other players won't show up.

      Only some are cheaters, but also Kramnik plays worse against them because he is paranoid, when you are constantly worried you play worse moves. When he plays GMs he plays more relaxed because he knows they are less likely to cheat so he also plays at a higher level. So Kramnik issue is psychological and not because all FMs are cheaters( even though some are).

      @@Bruno08931 probably half of them lmao. or at least when they play against Kramnik. Website might as well be waving a flag saying its ok. such a shame. This is what happens when they play favorites. Corruption affects everything.

      Not saying that Kramnik doesn't get cheated against, or that cheating isn't a real problem, but half of the lower ranked players who beat Kramnik do so because he gets into time trouble and either blunders or flags. He then loses to 20% because he lets his paranoia that they're cheating paralyse him psychologically, 15% of them just legitimately play better than him on the day, and the remaining 15% are cheating.

      rubbish, Kramnik gets outplayed from time to time simply because he’s too slow and too sloppy and arrogantly not enlightening himself about new upcoming talents whom to him are just random names appearing on his screen

      @FenceThis they just random names appearing on screen because they why nobody's in the otb world. Because unlike you he doesn't foolishly think onlone chess is a different game or a different world. I've been an avid follower of Chess for 3 years and I never heard of this kid.

    I wonder why does this video is titled "another disaster", since it is not. Maybe it is just lack of knowledge about chess and matches by the one who post it. And it would be welcome more respect for the players, even if they take more time than usual.
