As somebody who applied to co-op jobs this year, I can 1000% relate to quality over quantity. First time around, applied to 50+ (yes you read that right) and got none. Second time applied to around 5 and got 4 interviews, 3 of which resulted in offers. It really does make a difference to dedicate more time to each application! Great video with amazing tips, and great accomplishment Amy!!❤❤🎉🎉
Thank you for this informative video! I learned so much as someone who struggled with applications in the second year of my llb. I will be sure to apply your advice now in my third year in the next cycle of applications.
Hello Ammy! Can you please tell how a law student from India can get an opportunity to get interned at summer vacation scheme,it would be really helpful. Thankyou!
So basically that’s next to impossible and for getting a vacation scheme from law firm based in UK and you being in India, there is only possibility that is you’ve to be a NLU student and there are only 2 firms I believe who select candidates from abroad for vacation schemes…….
Hi Amy, I have a question. I also did the commercial law virtual internship and I was wondering whether to add that to my corporate experience section or as a extra curricular as it was virtual and not like a vacation scheme
Hi Amy, I am currently applying for vacation schemes and have reached the work experience section, there’s a box for skills and responsibilities, would you suggest to link every skill/responsibility back to why I want to be a commercial lawyer or would that not be appropriate for that section yet, thanks so much x
Hey! If there is room and words then link it back, this is an example from one of my applications. So after I had described my role and what I did, obviously just to give you an idea xx I gained invaluable insights into the legal world and developed my knowledge of financial services and banking. This taught me the basics of how employees conduct themselves in the workplace, and how to connect with clients. This also gave me a great understanding of the work ethic required to succeed in such a fast-paced environment and solidified my desire to work in this sector.

What is the best place to find vacation schemes?
Congrats, well deserved! How do you find training contracts that will help you pay for the diploma?
Thank you so much! I think all of the firms I applied for offered that. Most will say on the application section on their website 😊
