Jay projects such an emotional steadiness. There's a lot of confidence in his playing and affect.
Is that what Jay does?
Jay's mask is literally the coolest mask I've ever seen!
The footage from this concert was insane. The opening song had the people going ape. It was light enough to see every detail of the fans and they absolutely lost all French control.
I can't even air drum that fast.. i'm exhausted and my legs feel like they're going to explode 1 minute in..lol.. fucking amazing..just incredible
He is not the fastest drummer.
Not even close
@@XMetalMatter no one said that
quit skipping leg day
Id love to hear what jay gets to hear in his in-ears. I bet its a very different experience than what you hear live or even from drum cam footage.
Exactly what you hear live, they all have earphones or small boxes set to hear eachother
@@FrozenKing142 many artists need different things in monitors. In a lot of professional productions (even local bands these days) you'll get clicks and count offs. Prerecorded spoken queues.
As a live mix engineer I've came across some interesting in ear mixes. I also have a friend who has always had his own bands on click and backtracks introduced into the live shows. He will even record himself talking to his future self (for in ears) saying things like "half time bridge coming in 1 2 3 4" or "start song count off in 1 2 3 4". Its really cool to see this stuff behind the scenes and them come together live.
It would be a genuine surprise that slipknot only has a raw live in ear mix. Especially the quality of their live production. All the lights and Pyro. It just seems like they would have all that programmed to MIDI for consistency. Even like some of the audio samples used by the djs would have to be matched to the tempo for them to work sync to the rest of the band.
Theres got to be at very least a click track to their in ears.
@@FrozenKing142 u got owned
@@smeemusicaccording to Jay, they never use a click track live, which is evident by the fact that the tempo fluctuates live all the time.
I was wondering the same exact thing. How and what they hear between each other. Interesting and amazing!
One of my favorites songs jay is an absolute legend!!
my all time favorite song, awesome job dude!
Jay est devenu monstrueux avec toutes ces tournées, ces répets, ces enregistrements d'albums etc, il est monstrueux , rapide, précis.....wow :)
Awesome Jay ❤
What a crowd! Nimes always gets down. I remember the first time watching the Volkerball DVD back in 2007. Blown away by the shows there.
That was so dope…….the best view for a concert.😬
It fills me with aspiration just watching!
Amazing crowd! 🙌🙌🙌🤘🤘🤘🤘
One of my favourites
Jay silpknot wow is cool!!!!❤❤
valeu jay weinberg 👏👏👏👏
Incrível 😮👏🏽
Waw the strain on the right hand!! Almost 2 minutes of eighth notes on it at something like 110bpm!! You can tell he is resting it at 2:13 ... Great stuff
Ehh, I’m a drummer. What he’s doing isn’t too difficult. It isn’t awfully taxing. When he’s switching hands, it’s mainly for showmanship.
@@the_minimalistic_adventure you have to remember that this isn't the only song he's played at the show, i doubt that was a showmanship thing cause who's even seeing it lol
Thinking of drummers like gene hoglan, Georgie kollias and the kind of speed they have to endure over an entire show, while knowing how good jay Weinberg, I'm also quite sure this was just for show :)
If you've been doing it for as long as jay did, this song is not that big a deal strength/endurance wise not even in the scope of en entire set :)
Esses olhos olhando para onde vai atacar !! Chega ser lindo !!!
I can watch vids of this song all fuckin day. Someday I'll get those VIP tickets to see you play up close
Very good, man
I think the romans couldn't expect that when they built the arena 2000 years ago xd
Some people are just so talented.
As someone with allegedly quite the talent for rhythm in general and drumming in particular: hard work beats lazy talent anytime. 😢
He's a solid 5 out of 10
🔥🔥🔥
Love slipknot
3:02 - Sid doing his little turn on the catwalk
Awesome camera shot .holy crap😮
Best!!! Nice
It’s amazing to me that he noticed such a small detail like moving his tom mic closer, because it was too high, while playing at 0:28
Excelent vid like all the ones you upload. Could you record your monitor mix so we know what you hear live?
What a view
Jay is awesome and I'm a fan but Jay with Slipknot has never clicked for me.
🤘🤘🤘
🔥🤘🏼🤘🏼👊🏼👊🏼👊🏼
🤘😎
That crash got a hammering 😮
Keren bang 👌
Oh no what happened to audio? Maddest performance regardless
why are you gone now...
u gotta sart playing the double base/ extra snares in the beginning live
Hammersonic festival🇮🇩on cam, please🙏🏼
Jay, you're an amazing drummer. Snare fills are incredible and grooves pretty catchy. If you don't mind, as a fan, I would recommend you just to use some splashes, more toms and take more risks.
Ngl I’ve been thinking the same thing. But you’d be surprised how boxes in you can get in some styles. It’s thrashy groove metal. Not prog. You know what I mean? You gotta do what’s best for the tune. Less is usually more.
@@walpurgisnacht9234 Yep, man. Simple is more catchy and vicing. Love Jay's work. Just miss something here and there, but could not agree more that he's an outstanding drummer.
I just noticed the bass player is basically standing in the same spot the entire song 🤔
Bro casually fixing the mic while playing that fill
seems difficult when trying to emaluate it when watching him play with ease coolness . Being a drummer is not easy
3:42 😨 como ele tem tempo de arrumar o cabelo mano kkk
Shots like this can only be topped by being in the band itself. What it must feel like sitting on the drum throne. :>
Bruh I’m I the only one that thinks his crashes are different than normal? They still sound amazing but is it just me or are the sounds different compared to the other drum cams?
Yen please
Am the only one who thinks replacing him with Elroy was unwarranted
This guys up there with Danny carey josh freese and Jeff friedel 👍🏻
Precision🫵🏼
ngerri bg , GAK BAHAYA TA?
I am number 266 to like that !!! SO take that everyone!!!
He's decent
