How hard do you think it is to replace the valve stem seals? Thinking about doing it myself sense I’m getting light blue smoke only after idling in place for an extended period. Anything else you would recommend doing sense I’ll have it opened up that far?
Hey man thanks for the video it was real helpful. I used to have a high idle problem as well. I noticed that after driving for 15-20 minutes and leaving it parked for 10-15 minutes, the idle would be lower next time I turned it on and would gradually get high again after some driving. Sometimes it would surge a little bit too (I think it was the IAC trying to compensate). If you notice similar symptoms, try using a FIAV Blockoff plate. I got mine from MAP Performance. It's nice because it still lets the IAC work so the ECU can still adjust for the AC and stuff. My idle has been rock steady now after months of looking for the problem lol. Only issue is that your idle won't be any higher in cold weather so it might take a bit longer for the car to reach operating temp. Hope you get it figured out soon !
