I can’t wait to have my baby back on the road again. I think I found my gremlin that’s been worrying me with my oil pressure. It’s a 14 JGC SRT cammed and rowdy sounding 😂. I’m so happy with the results aside from this loss of oil pressure. It was a rocker shaft keeper mangled up letting it seep. Hopefully that was my issue. I’m tired of draining coolant into my oil pan on tear down 😂

Man I see those faces and it makes me feel it in my soul bro. I’m 6 months into this valve train rebuild and my hang up was loss of idle oil pressure. I think I finally figured it out. It was a smashed up keeper on the rocker shaft and it was directly on one of the feed holes. I was hitting 10 psi hot idle oil pressure and I was terrified of spinning a bearing. MMX directed me to check the shaft area thankfully as I was completely out of ideas as I vetted everything I could think of. It’s these little quirks that you don’t know about until you do one or three of em. We all need to help each other out with advice because these parts are not cheap and they might look strong and metal but godam does it bend and break really really easy!!! I’m going to start making shorts myself on quirks and little things that are easily overlooked or can cause damage if done wrong. Thx!!🤘🏻🤘🏻

I’d have a suggestion. Set the shafts with the collars on but use the old keeper and bolt to do them individually. Once you have them both down tight, take the two coordinated bolts out and put the bracket in place. Then you don’t bind or bend the rods or shafts. Don’t need any of that.

Why wen i look up i get a different torque for oil pan ?

Was ganna say that popping is bad news on these hemis, last time my 6.1 did that its because the heads were warped. But running stock 5.7 ecu explains alot. Just so your aware the 5.7 ecu may run the car without a tune but your leaning it out really bad and you could have metled them pistons. Thats why it popped like that.

I am thoroughly confused. I am attempting to wire mine and it doesn't make sense. The holley instructions dont help either. I've wired entire stereo systems but this is confusing as hell. Doubling up wires and unterminated wires. Help please.
