I sell custom items. One of them being hats. Each listing is a different design patch for my hats. How do I get Shopify to change the quantities of the different color hats I offer for each listing?
Let me see if I am tracking with you. You have a line of custom hats that differ by the design patch used for each hat. Your question is how to get Shopify to change your inventory count for each color of hat on each listing. Correct? If I am on the same page, my first question would be to ask if you are using variants?
when I try to add a new product to my store, there is an error appears "SKU can't be blank ", but I entered a SKU. So how can I sovle this problem? Thanks.
Thanks for writing. In the example I showed in the video, we did not enter any data for the barcode. Naturally, if you are running a Shopify POS and you are already in edit mode, it would not hurt to enter the barcode.
Good question, Josie. I would say it depends. If you have a casual drop ship relationship where you phone or email your order over to the target company, then I think you are safe to use whatever SKU fits your operations. However, if you are using a company that has an app that allows you to chose from their catalog of products (this is a very common approach), then their SKU is typically the key item that ties the product to their fulfillment operation. If they give you a SKU, I would say use it without any edits.
@@campaignsauce i am also having this issue to which i cannot figure out. It says its blank when you try to save your product on your shopify store. please respond if you know how to fix this Im stuck.
Hey, sorry I didn’t get back to you sooner. Head over to my website at campaignsauce.com and leave me your email address inside my company chat. Maybe we can do a screen share and try to figure this out.

Great question. Where are you getting the error? From the general window in Shopify, or when editing in the Google parameters section?

@@campaignsauce Can I just make a random barcode?
@@亗MR乂BUNNY Umm. Not certain. If you are running Shopify POS, you may not want to go the route of a random barcode.
@@campaignsauce how do u get the random barcode?
Very interested in how you sold your store
Hey, thanks for writing. That part was very easy -- I sold it to one of my clients.
hey if I'm drop-shipping a product, do i have to use the suppliers sku or can i make my own?
