You know, you can use the calipers the other way too. That puts more surface flatness on the case, and then use the bottom caliper part check the threaded bolt And you'll get an accurate measurement, too.😎😊

it doesn't need to be that close. the biggest problem is that the studs are very uneven, so your measurements are just as bad too.
