Today we're making shrimp scampi rolls! These are amazing and a great changeup from traditional shrimp scampi. The recipe consists of garlic butter and white wine shrimp scampi topped on garlic buttered rolls along with cherry tomatoes. I hope you enjoy it!

I just wanted to share a shrimp tip a Louisiana chef told me: If you cook the shrimp until it forms the letter "C," that means its Cooked. If it forms the letter "O," that means its Overcoked. C=C ooked; O= O vercooked.
I always wind up with an O, because I'm forced to use thawed shrimp that's been frozen. I dont get fresh shrimp pulled out of the water just moments before it hits my pan. It still tastes pretty good to me, though.😉
Anyway, I thought I'd share that for you folks lucky enough to live on the gulf!

As one who is growing a bit weary of preparing prawns in the Cajun fashion (My kitchen is the only place in all of South Pennsyltucky where I can get spicy Cajun anything that tastes right), I find myself pondering making a couple loaves of brioche and throwing all this together.
The burfer weights are actually and originally for cooking flat bacon to prevent it from curling. It is called a bacon pre.

Sir, I had NEVER had a lobster roll. So, a few years ago while in Boston, I went to a well known seafood restaurant. I ordered the lobster roll and a side.
The lobster roll was barely 8 ozs of lobster on a buttered toasted plain ole hot dog roll. The “side” was about 4 ozs of soggy boiled zucchini. When the check arrived, for ONE MEAL, I nearly dropped: $35.00!!! After providing a tip just to bypass the embarrassment of my expression when seeing the check, I dropped a whopping $45.00 for that “meal.” I NEVER went back to that legendary restaurant!😂😂😂
So, from now on, I will make my own lobster roll or I will attempt to make your borrowed alternative!👍
P. S. Hey, if the taster is not talking…hey, for-get-ah-bout-it!!! That means it’s good! That’s an Italian fact!🇮🇹

7:02, the lid from a Dutch oven works great, if it fits. Or even another pan with some added weight, get creative! I think Julia once used a foil wrapped brick. I totally saw that 11 out of ten coming, but I predicted he was gonna say 10.5 out of 10. Looks so GREAT!! (hmm...Some pickled thinly sliced red onions...PUT IT ON THE MENU!)
Love this channel for making new things to eat. You’re always straight to the point and more importantly simple and the time frame of making many of these recipes is reasonable. Tried a few so far and they’re all really good. Messed up on a couple but I’ll go at them again. Keep it up!
This shrimp recipe was absolutely delicious! Loved the garlic butter on the brioche rolls too! By far the best!
i’m currently making and the garlic butter has my house smelling like heaven
so this was fantastic and it was very easy to make. i’ll definitely be making this again this summer. I used new england style buns and left my tomatos whole when cooking them.

Thank you. My wife loves lobster rolls. We were on vacation near Sarasota, there's a restaurant she always wants to go to and eat lobster rolls. Most people think the food there is great, I think it's fair and way too overpriced for what you get. I offered to make her lobster rolls at our place on the beach. Bought 2 cold water lobster tails at Publix, had them steam them. Bought split top buns, we brought mayo, bought some celery seed/salt. Cost $24 to make two small lobster rolls AT HOME!!!!

What a great idea! I just defrosted a bag of colossal shrimp, to make some creamy bucatini with garlic and shrimp, a hit of vodka for a little later. Definitely will try these shrimp rolls, mostly 'cuz the cost is so much better than lobster. Will buy some nice rolls this week, otherwise I would have made these today.

Back in the 70s, we would get shrimp salad hoagies from our favorite sandwich joint here in Philly . After he got to know us, he would graciously scoop out some of the bread from the rolls so it would hold more filling. You might consider the same for the brioche rolls that would hold more Scampi but be less messy while still toasting up buttery and garlicky.
