Great video. Nice to see standard gauge and miniature in parallel. Some spectacular locomotives and a fascinating route with bridges and inclines. And January has its own beauty. Keep up the good work.
Hi! I don't usually watch videos like this nor am I a huge fan of trains, but this video definitely got my attention and has given me a fun insight! Very enjoyable! Thank you! 😍🥰
Hi Megan, Thank you for watching. I'm glad you enjoyed it and its really nice to hear that someone who isn't a railway enthusiast has enjoyed this video! :)
@@Meggybooz You're welcome! :) I've got some more on the way which I filmed before the lockdown. Not just train stuff to! :) Thanks agian for watching!
it was lovely to see the happy faces of the adults taking their kids on the railway. Going to be interesting as you go through 2020 with covid arriving. Start of 2020 was not good for me high blood pressure high chlorestorol very very high pulse rate and atrial fibrillation followed soon by a diagnosis of needing a triple bypass. I had been wondering why I was finding the chiltern hills harder but at 74 thought it was just old age! You look super fit in early 2020.
Thank you for joining me! It's always nice to see adults enjoying miniature railways. At this time in early 2020 we had no idea of what was just around the corner. I'm glad we're past all that now and can continue to enjoy visiting places like this.
Chassen Road station was built in the 1930's when they built the new houses nearby. The line is the Cheshire Lines Committee route from Liverpool to Manchester and would have been operated by LNER locos when it opened.
Very enjoyable video! If you ever make it to the States, check out the ILS (Illinois Live Steamers), located in a southwest suburb of Chicago. The Steam Channel has some vids of their operations. Anyway, well done....cheers!

Hi, thank you for your clip. Just a few points, I'm sorry to write that you have not pronounced 'Chassen' correctly. Did you not recognise the O1? About the small circular track outside the club house: prior to our track round the full park we had two circular tracks one inside the other. The one left is not a 'running in' track, anyone can use it just to have a run, some people enjoy driving on this track. Also at certain times we do use it to take passengers. It can of course be used to test a loco if a driver wishes. Once again thank you for showing us on you tube.
Not sure what your mystery blue tank engine is.... it's similar to a 0-6-2 U Type used on Austrian Narrow Gauge. These were pretty much the go too/do anything locomotive power of the OBB. I linked to an example below. ua-cam.com/video/bx5B-T9r4G8/v-deo.html
@@HenrysAdventures I have a lovely example in HOe from Lilliput, bought on a whim 30 years ago I have now decided to make a model railway to fit my work bench. One is spending too many hours staring at computer screens, another hobby is needed.
What a load of rubbish, 9 minutes to get there, no such station as Chasaten Road, an awful lot of inane drivel and walking within the confines of the track without getting permission. hope future episodes are an improvement, and presented by paople who are not Dyslectic.
Shut up you sad cretin. At least he tries to do something and you go criticise him and take the piss out of Dyslexic people. You should be ashamed of yourself for putting such a comment which was not needed at all. Grow up.

You' ve got to be in awe of the skills of these guys that build these miniature locos.
I agree, I always admire the skill and dedication these people have.
there is so much to see and do on this miniature railway and the locos looked really great...thanks for posting Henry....

What a great little line. Fantastic local facility Which is good to see running on a Sunday in January.
I'm starting to discover a few more miniature railways which run in January!
Thanks for a very enjoyable video. Know it well, great place to take the kids on a Sunday afternoon as I did with my two sons when they were younger.

They used to have a traction engine rally on this park every year, unfortunately now cancelled. It was going to that when I discovered this railway.
I didn't know about the Traction Engine Rally! Maybe they'll have it in future years when things get back to normal?
@@HenrysAdventures I think it was cost and organisational problems that put an end to it. Was a few years ago now.
It was called May Day Steam. We had much more than just traction engines. It was always a great rally.

Not yet but I would like to oneday. We so have some American built S160s at the Churnet Valley Railway which is local to me.
Lol. Its Chassen Road. Not Chasterton. Haha
