I don't remember a single music video that evoked so many emotions in me. A magnificent clip of the singer IU with a divine voice and the brilliant actor Kim Taehyung. This is not a clip, this is a work of art.💜❤💜

this music video is so beautiful. IU's character is deaf and V's character is blind in one eye. a theory i have is that they are running from being put in a box...like a metaphor for how society tries to put people who are different in boxes and anyone who is on the margins are harmed by it. When they looked through the camera their wounds were gone. they were seeing each other happy in a world where they could be in love and unharmed...the shadow people in black were pointing at them but they were in their own world being playful and enjoying each other. So the world could be painful and dark but they win because they built this happiness together. and then in the end the box still comes for them, it is so sad...but inevitable when you also realize how the pile of clothes were others who all come to the same fate..yet the love wins because of the happiness they built and them being together. It was so beautiful how she covered his good eye so he wouldn't have to see the end coming for them, like you said, she was so protective I love it and he tried to fight for them too. I have seen people say IU was saying that tae represented her loved ones and fans and how she wants to be with them until the end and make a beautiful life together regardless of what the rest of the world is like, she wants to build a happy space and face the world with her loved ones.
ah actually i just saw someone say they think Tae is both deaf and blind in one eye and that was why IU used sign language. I think that fits better, because she is reacting to sounds and holding his hand through almost the whole thing. they said they think that she has been sticking by him and the cube is attacking people with disabilities but she protects and stays with him to the end. freaking gorgeous.

Awesome. I thought the same, too, about IU's and V's characters. And I loved that you highlighted the cube as really a box that limits what we can do, how we live our lives, whom we can love. Society should not have their way, their rules, their opinions pushed onto us. We want - and hope - that love does win all.
I love that explanation, but I think Tae was both blind and deaf.
@@nicolecmke Tae is half blind, IU is speech impaired. It was explained before the MV came out (or bit after. Can't remember exactly).
The MV is a movie. Such a top-tiered production too. IU and Tae’s acting is just exquisite. So gentle and soft. Absolutely heart wrenching. I cried! Tae broke me! 💔🥺😭

V showed different emotions here: scared, worried, happy, nostalgic, angry, bravery, in love, acceptance..Everything in 5 min video. Of course IU is so good. Her voice brought me tears. Love these 2. We need a kdrama.

Ok, I've seen so many reactions today and you're another one who broke my emotional breakdown because of a comment. "They're all naked in the box??!!??" You -- too funny. V and IU -- spectacular beyond words.

V AMAZING acting out all these emotions of fear happiness sorrow furious, in a 5 minute music video is crazy because we see actors failing to act out a single emotion in an 1 hour long episode but here he is, the versatility is showing 😭

I need 6 seasons and a movie of this drama. Oh my gosh! I'm not an army or IU stan in general but I love them both. I teared up for sure. This was so gorgeous. Her voice, their presence. And finally an MV with a story I can follow. Like I don't have to have 3 masters degrees and have traveled the world to understand what the story is. So good.
As an ARMY, I went through like 1000 emotions with this MV lol. Mad respect for V and IU's talent. I need them in a movie or a drama when V comes back, please. As always, another amazing reaction Landon! Thanks

Firstly About black masked people - they are all imagination without any identity or face recognition ( I hope you understand the concept)
Second tae is shown one eye blind so at end she close his eye to stop him seeing their end and tae's side his tear from that eye showed that he know and he accept their fate. Oh! many more things...

V is blind in one eye and IU is deaf communicating using sign language. The camera is showing them what they want to see or what they see with each other. The box is like a discriminating box. Like "putting people in the box" they were running away from being boxed. Did I cry? i watched it many times and every time I cried. we need a full-length movie with a happy ending because the box can't contain them.

Oh Landon. Take another look at the video. They're in love and when they look through the camera, they see the world the way they want to see it. V is deaf and blind in one eye. She's his protector. But that scream that Tae scrumpt was him protecting her. They lost to the box like so many others before them, but love won because they protected and comforted each other, him holding on to her hand, her covering his seeing eye, and they stayed together till the end. And yes, now they're naked together.

actors should be grateful taehyung chose music as his main career HE SO AMAZING The singular tear falling down Taehyung’s cheek as he accepts his fate. Taehyung is such a powerful actor and able to emote feelings of fear and acceptance all in one scene without a single dialogue

Hi, I am back. Good reaction, ty. Wow, now that is some MV! So much feels. Great acting from IU and V. Beautifully shot too. Really well done. I teared up on 1st watch but i cried during the rewatch. Gosh. Bravo!!! She is mute/deaf and he is blind in one eye. Now that i know this was a pre-release i wonder if we will have more story in other MVs. Hmm. Maybe more V acting too. =0p Wishful thinking on my part i know. I was thinking about Spring Day too. Ur so far the 2nd reactor who had the same thought as me. I don't think you caught it but when the camera focuses on Taehyung with IU's hand covering his eye, there is smoke coming off of her hand. It implies that the two of them were vaporized. I like your idea of them being together in the box, though. At least they'd be together and not dead.

That square box seems to be the entity that destroys those marginalized people and that camcorder seems to show people in a world where they are not discriminated against😢They they forgot what they were running from because through the lens of the camera, they were able to just love and enjoy life until the reality caught up to them and they were taken away ICRY 😭😭😭😭
The boxes represent all the prejudices and judgements of the society. And when you don't fit in those boxes society will tear you down. Handicap (IU is deaf or mute and Tae and his blue eye), age gap (woman is older than him that represented by her most of the time dragging him). It's not about the end of the world. But it's them against the whole world. They were happy with their love of each other but people where mocking them, judging them. Their happy times at the restaurant and the wedding party. The anonymous face pointing there fingers. Them alone in the world since they are marginal lovers.
