    QUESTION OF THE DAY: what better product could I have used to make my twist look smoother??

    Hey Sparkle, your hair turned out great!!! You have so much patience doing your own hair. You have blessed hands. God bless you and stay encouraged. 💕

    I've been looking for a protective style to do on my hair for like ever!!! You and I both big chopped like at the same time and I have been following your journey since then and your hair has grown out so nicely (so has mine), but I am tired of trying to deal with my hair at this length. I'm used to having waist length hair but I had to big chop due to depression and matting. When I went natural at 17, I'm 40 now, I transitioned for a yr before I cut off the straight ends. My hair was way longer than it is now and it didn't bother me at all cuz I was so happy to be natural! With all that being said, I'd like to thank you for providing this type of content and may GOD continue to bless you and that your channel triples in growth before the year ends! You provide informative videos and I always look forward to the notifications of new content that you add to your channel.

    If you have the time, next time you should blow it out first. I definitely understand the thickness struggle mine starts to stick out as well in a matter of 2 days. I found it better to blow it out it just makes it a little easier, hopefully I could help💗

    Hey girl! Great job as always. And I'm enjoying the cosmetology series. We're kind of twinning. I have twists too. I looked at that hair, but decided to get the pre-stretched and separated hair. I didn't want mine crocheted so the lady twisted or braided it in. She put some rods on the end for a curlier look. The only thing that I don't like about shine n jam is the extra time it takes for it to dry oppose to when I use other products.

    • @SW33TSPARKL3

      Heyy boo. What is the other product u use in place of the shine n jam

    • @msleigh

      @@SW33TSPARKL3 edge control. I previously used one by ORS and it worked well. This was my first time using shine n jam for braids/twists, but had I thought about it, I wouldn't have used it. Once it dried it was fine. I usually get box braids and haven't had any issues with using edge control(my braider suggests it). I also wash my box braids and they still look nice. I keep them in for 6-7 weeks.

    I tried to do a similar style and was having similar problems. My ends are super coily and refuse to stay hidden. They immediately just poke right out of the twist. Still trying to figure out the best way to do this style. Looks super pretty on you

      Thank you tiffany. I think next time I'll use that Murrys in the yellow container on my ends and see if that helps it to last longer without the ends poking out sooner

      Aqw thanks girly. It usually takes me about an hour to do the parts then afterwards, about 6-7hrs to do the twists. I normally buy 3 packs. Each pack has 3 bundles in it if that makes sense.

    To not make the twists look so big do u have to split each strand&do u dip the ends of the hair or it stay twisted and it don't unraveled?

    • @SW33TSPARKL3
      @SW33TSPARKL3  2 роки тому

      I just use one strand per section that I've already parted off. And the hair curls upon itself so no hot water is required

    This is not helpful because I don't know the name. Whenever I get my hair braided at the African braiding shop they use this clear stuff that is not sold in stores. If you get a chance stop by a shop near you & ask if you csn buy it. You will not be disappointed. Your hair turned out nice!
