Can a retired person start an SIP in a Mutual fund ?
No debt fund is safe as Bank deposits.Deposits in public sector banks are 100 percent safe and in private banks are safe atleast up to 5 lacs. So many investors lost money in debt funds of Templeton fund A portion of my money invested in reliance equity savings fund is still laying in bad and doubtful category.In my opinion investing in shares of well managed companies is less risky than some debt.funds.

Interest rate in banks are very good and low risk. Go for it, instead of stock market. Sensex or nifty did not rise much in 2022. I am in market since 1991. You need switch investment based on market conditions

How fast we can withdraw the amount in case of an emergency? An FD with sweep in is immediate through an ATM , right ?
We cannot withdraw as we do via ATM. For debt and liquid funds upon submission of redemption request before 3pm the settlement amount gets credited on the next working day to investors bank account. This is why Sandeep sir has rightly mentioned the importance of keeping contingency fund to tackle an unforeseen emergency.. (There was some mutual fund companies which allow certain percentage same day withdrawal from liquid funds - this need to be checked with the concerned person while you make an investment)

on the 9th day he redeems 10,000.
How will the exit load be differentiated , because the first invested amount has already been 7 days(categorised : no exit load after 7 days) but the second 10,000 he is redeeming on the 9th day ( categorised :Exit load within 7 days)

One doubt .. for NRE FD there is no taxation rght .. so if I am getting NRE FD for above 6.5% then isn’t it better than debt Mf ?
Yes, you can consider. Please check the procedure, if you have to break the FD in between
