I have a novel idea that will revolutionize MLB as we know it. Instead of these bullpen guys having to sprint a half mile to show their teammates they actually care about these ridiculous baseball "brawls", have both bullpens meet in center field and they can have their own "brawl". Saves a lot of running and that way, you get to watch two bitchy slapfights instead of just one. Food for thought.

While Garcia was throwing a fit, Abreu was trying to tell him "it was on me" meaning it was accidental and not an intentional hit. 00:50 Garcia needed to calm down but instead he gave the Astros all that energy.
Agreed, you can tell by body language of Maldy and Abreu that it was an accident. Garcia reached over the umpire to push and shove Maldy the catcher. He was clearly looking to start an unnecessary fight.
Great catch, @misterpaladin. I initially thought it may have been intentional, but no relief pitcher puts a runner in scoring position of a tight playoff game just to prove a point. Seeing Abreu basically apologize confirms to me the pitch just got away.

Problem for MLB is that if they don't suspend the pitcher Abreu, then big sluggers like Harper and Altuve could start getting hit with 100 mph pitches and the pitcher could get away with it by staying it was unintentional. By the time the World Series gets started, all the best hitters could be injured by "unintentional" pitches. Then nobody would want to watch the WS.

How is it SO unbelievable that this could be intentional? I get it; ALCS, series tied 2-2, 0 outs, bottom 8, a runner on etc. But this is Adolis Garcia, a guy you'd rather pitch around anyway. A guy who just embarassed you and imo a guy who was asking for it. The fact that the situation didn't call for it and the catcher didn't set up inside only makes it more likely no one gets ejected. Plus with LeClerc having to sit between innings this is an absolute genius move by Dusty. He was milking it as much as possible by not leaving the bench too.
