In his era they didnt, but i think its a side effect of the current pitching aspect of the game where pitch movement and velocity are the forefront since you really only need to put in a few innings
85mph pitch was painful. It takes alot of adrenaline to make pain disappear. They need to change the rules a bit when pitchers intentionally hit batters
I don't even watch baseball, but your comment is spot on. I don't understand the pitchers hitting a guy with a baseball because their buddy hit a home run off of the pitcher. Also, quit stepping in front of the batter - let him go after the pitcher, get a little hockey action going. It's sort of funny because they all know they will get "stopped" before they get to the other guy.
was always curious to know out of all the times that a bAtter has been hit by a pitch, about how many times it was because the catcher actually gave a special signal to the pitcher to tell him to actually throw at the batter????
Maybe it's just me. Maybe it's the fact I don't watch on a regular basis. Maybe I'm just missing something. But.... You're not about to throw something at me at 90+ MPH and I just take a base. Maybe I have unchecked anger issues. I'm just astonished no ones ever launched their bats back at them... Cause I'll be damned
I mean, pitchers are often times the biggest guys on the field. Seriously, avg pitcher is like 6'4, 220. Alek Manoah who is in this video is 6'6", 285lbs. So its really easy to say that from your couch. 😂😂
There should be a rule that if a batter gets hit by a pitch. The pitchers gets to put his glove down stand like a batter and the batter can pick up a baseball and throw it back to the pitcher. See how quickly these cowards stop messing around.
sometimes balls get away. yeah most of these guys should stick a hand out and apologize. but it's still baseball. anyone who's ever pitched a baseball knows sometimes the ball gets away from you.
They very rarely do. Most of the guys in this video were accidents. If it is on purpose its always because the batter did something to piss off the other team.
@@AD-df5tm - Okay thanks... I still think that is a horrible way to "get back" at a guy though. I take it that the pitchers don't have to get up in the batter's box then. I appreciate the answer....
I always enjoy when it's someone from the bench that takes over the chirpping & gets more aggressive then the player hit its hilarious especially since it's almost always some unknown bench player who comes storming out and takes over for the hit player as if they person were hit & not the player that was.
mlb is like the nba & nfl to full of over inflated egos of talentless players who are overly sensitive or insecure. Its like come on if you're going to charge the mound or do something do something other wise just walk to the base maybe talk a bit on the way down but don't just stand around trying to get attention with a fake angry face on especially when your clearly not going to do anything. Be a man & either brush it off signal to the other pitcher & team it aint no thang or do what you got to do to feel better.
You stand over a plate where pitchers are throwing in the 90's and you're surprised that the pitcher doesn't have complete control? The game is won on runs, so if you get to first, then to second and there's another hit, you just scored. It's only pain, it goes away. Just shut up and take your base like a man, fer Christ sakes. Geez.
I remember when I used to play the picture hit me in the head with a fastball I ran to the picture and I beat him up with the bat. And I continue to swing the bat not even my teammates could get close to me. I got suspended for 2 years when I came back pictures only through strikes. No picture ever dare hit me again they knew what was coming.
It's sad. I watched a little league game where the batter hugged the pitcher who hit him on the head, and these people are adults.
The difference is the kids are accidents, they dont have the control. The adults are doing it on purpose.

Little leaguers don’t throw at 100+mph lol
Hitting a batter is the baseball version of “sweep the leg”…It’s a coward move. It’s slapping an old lady.
John Kruk in the Phillies broadcast booth recently said "Major League pitchers don't miss by 3 feet."
In his era they didnt, but i think its a side effect of the current pitching aspect of the game where pitch movement and velocity are the forefront since you really only need to put in a few innings
Except for the one Randy Johnson put over his head and behind him by ten feet.
@@markforbus6794that proves his point, the only way they are missing by that much is if it’s intentional lmao
Easy solution: Hit batter below the waste goes to 1st; hit batter above the waste goes to 3rd.
...and above waist height, immediate ejection and 20 game ban and $1 million fine.
Keep the videos coming out of people making similar videos I love yours the most 👍👍
Curt Schilling once said, "I hit 52 guys in my career only 3 of them I think were accidental." Maybe one of these in the video was accidental.
I've literally seen everyone of these live. God, I hate how much baseball I watch. Love the channel brother!
Seriously?? I l love baseball too, but if you're serious you might need to talk to someone.
Why do the pitchers literally never apologize lol. At least put a hand up like "my bad".
Of course Shohei did lol.
Cause we ain’t no bitches
100%
Plus they start walking up to the batter like wtf.
Some do, but others it’s pard of the game man.
Why would they apologize? It’s part of the game. At least half of these clips have a back story to them.
That's soft. That's like NBA players saying sorry after a foul. NFL players saying sorry after a big hit
Keep up the good work ❤

Pitchers trying to end careers of batters on the managers orders and nothing happens....
baseball been around 125 years and no careers ended...dopey
wtf was Altuve going to do? lol He was waiting for his entire team to come out before barking.
Watching alonso leaning out over the plate then get pissy whenever a ball grazes his arm which is almost in the strikezone is so annoying.
this is why I hate that man
If i got hit by most of these, i would be broken in half! 😂
10:02 " And Manoah comes charging in " approaches the plate slower than a grandma with two bad hips...... 😆
it's way past time for pitchers to stand back in the batters box and take what they give out

There has to be a better way than watching a pitcher strike out 4 times a game.

Nice!
As a jays fan, i,m scratching my head wondering why there is only one Manoah hit shown.
Grrrrrrr😊
How cool when the Braves are not on this video. Go Bravos
That was good

4:01 3-3 bottom of 9 HBP has to be a mistake, right? But why would you throw THAT pitch, in that circumstance?
There is no way Many of these weren't intentional. No way. Some are just waaaay to obvious.

Benches clear? Both teams play it out but both forfeit. So the fans get the game they paid for

@greenbeagle13 pitches did have to bat for most of baseball history actually.

"Very rarely" it happens multiple times every year intentionally. You're delusional thinking otherwise.
baseball players leaving the dugout is the dumbest thing I've ever seen

I never under the defense being upset with a batter that's upset about being hit
Can you imagine being the guy who made Ohtani look pissed off?
He didn’t even look at Ippe like that.
Puig was a disgrace to Major League Baseball. He falls right in the category of nyjer morgan and Carlos Gomez. Except worse.
