You may have seen the truncated part that is only about the metaphor, but that does his granular point an injustice. "This speech has made me realize (again and again) that no battle ever wins a war, and that the efforts of those who demanded their right to their identity in former generations was not in vain, it is just that those who hold power, who are trying to take us all down in their weird capitalism death spiral, are simply in one of their stronger attacks. "We need all hands on deck, if you do not agree with their death spiral. They have the $$$ but we have the people. Love from Argentina 🇦🇷 💙🤍💙
Wow, Zander's generation has been through a lot! You go kid! All the best to you and your class!
Hey Florida -- more of this kid.
THANK YOU FOR STANDING STRONG WITH YOUR CURLY HAIR. YOU ARE AMAZING.
This speech will go down on the good side of US history, bravo 👏🏻 When Florida begins to teach accurate history again, this young man will be a positive part of it! 🇨🇦
Oh my, what a courageous kid.
We may be alright in the end.
Thank you, *Liz Ballard* for the [ CC ] :-D
Truly brave and incredibly clever young person! We can make the future better if we can all come together and be this brave at the same time
That was amazing!
So deeply appreciate Zander Moricz, his friends, family and fellow protesters, and his educators. Here is what I wrote when I posted this to my own community:
"This is under 10 minutes of a valedictorian speech out of Florida. The teen who is speaking is forced to speak in metaphors in some of the speech and it is both brilliant and theatrical.
"If you want to reconcile with the past and want your children to be free, you will have to fight for it.
"Please watch as this new voter, who is the same age as my second child, lays out the way forward, whilst also showing us in real time the spirit of the fighters for justice, LGBTQ2S+ rights and a better world. Be inspired. And get active."
Zander, you echo those who previously fought for their rights, and yours as a "future generation", and you continue this fight for freedom and safety together with those around you. Across the world, we fight to be free and to live as our true selves, despite those who wish to profit from our suppression. Today I deeply appreciate your choice and your incredible style and wit, and what you've done already for future generations. Congratulations for making it through your high school years in the chaos upon which we find ourselves. Remember to rest. Together we are stronger.

We see you, Zander! Keep fighting the good fight! It is the youth that gives me hope! Much love!!! Your speech was BRILLIANT!! 🙏👏👏👏👏
He an out gay student who is against Florida's don't say gay bill..the school.board threatened to cut his mic if read his speech about being gay or the bill so he wrote about curly hair as a metaphor for don't say gay. Trying to ( be straight ) straighten his hair and having no other ( gays ) curly haired people to relate too.his class got it.i doubt teachers did..he continues to have walk outs and speak on any radio , tv station or newspaper that will have him.. dont.umder estimate him or his fellow students. They won't stand for inequality
Thank you, Zander.
