    By the way, this is the second project for my MakeNine2020! It's been over a month since I've done the first one, Athina Linen Top. ua-cam.com/video/S6E530swyv0/v-deo.html I can't believe it's already March 2020! Time definitely flies for me this year. How's your MakeNine2020 project going? Making progress and so far so good?

      How did you find the sizing? Many of the reviews say it runs large based on the finished measurements. Did you size down, and if you didn't would you recommend sizing down? Thank you !

      Mine is a Size 2 and I think it fits. Make sure you trim down the underseams of sleeves and the armholes in case you are serging instead of French seams. That will make a better fit. 👍

    Thank you so much for this video. I am following along to make my own version, so your video is incredibly helpful. You are adorable! I do have some questions that were not clear to me from your video or the pattern's instructions. What is an "underseam"? At 14:52, you mention trimming 1/4" of the "" and armholes for better results. Also, I had trouble understanding the attachment of the facing and neckline. It was hard for me to understand the neck facing attachment in your video because the front and the back of the fabric are so similar, so it was not completely clear to me. As a result, my neckline is imperfect, and I am not sure how to do better next time. In your next video, could you please use a fabric with a clear difference between the back and the front of the fabric and slow down during the complicated parts? I look forward to seeing your version of this without the French seams. Thank you so much for your wonderful videos! I am now a loyal subscriber!

      Thanks for watching my video and becoming my subscriber, Carol! Haha I don't know where the word "underseam" from, but I was meaning UNDERARM SEAM on sleeves. As we are not doing French Seams for those parts, we don't need extra 1/4".
      Sorry if my fabric choice made you confused! I will try to make future tutorials with better choice of fabrics! : )

    Hi Sara. I'm so happy to find your tutorial. I have just downloaded the pattern and I am excited to start but I really hate doing French seams. So, I am wondering if you have released the easier sewing version of this top. Please let me know. Thank again.

      You could do it, I'm sure. I didn't use the French seams on my first attempt and the only think that wasn't right was the size! If you baste all the required places, you'll be able to do a double turnover edge without it warping. I just serged all of my raw edging and turned it over once, but although looks OK, I feel it would be better doubled, but then it was my first try!

    Did you use flat fellled seams or french seams please? I really enjoyed your video so much, great quality and content. Perfect fabric and fit as well.

    • @SewingTherapy
      @SewingTherapy  3 роки тому +1

      Thank you for watching my video! Actually the only difference between flat felled seams and French seams is the final stitch which shows from outside. If I have to confirm it, I'd better to call the method 'Flat Felled Seams'. Thanks for pointing it out! 😊

    Hi , Great tutorial. Thank you. I just started making this pattern and wondered if there is any reason that I can't put the sleeves in first and then sew the sleeve and side seam at the same time. I just prefer this method but wondered if there was a reason to do the way you did in the tutorial?

    • @SewingTherapy
      @SewingTherapy  3 роки тому +1

      Hi 👋 I also prefer sewing the underarm seam and side seam together at the end. I was just following the original instructions as I assume many of subscribers wanted that way!
      Also, in case the pattern has a deep rounded armscye, this method from the original instructions makes the sleeves lay naturally!

    Lovely tutorial! One question though.. what do you mean by 'right sides together'? Is it the inside out or like right or left? I am not sure I understand :)

    • @SewingTherapy
      @SewingTherapy  3 роки тому +2

      Hi, the first term in sewing you should learn is the 'right side' and the 'wrong side'. The right side of the fabric is the "printed" or "pretty" surface of the fabric and the opposite is the wrong side. 😊
