Super Sport/SS style Quick and Easy (Wham Bam!) I decided to plasti dip some stripes with some HackNpackShop inspiration sum bitch! • Best of Hack N Pack Shop
hurry, hurry! tape first! slow is not ideal, wet that coat, & get to pulling that tape up right away if you want sharp lines. only way. big areas need a spray gun for a quick pace.
The guy at DYC said, and I found out myself, is to waste no time in getting the tape off before it drys. Helps a lot to have more than one person so you can get it off even faster.
Think you got to make closer 50/50 strokes with the can to keep from getting the tiger striping. Doesn't look terrible though. Good job! You should get the gun from DYC and not use cans. You have a garage so I envy you. I live in DC so I can't do this.
I hate the fact that when u are peeling the tape the plastidip starts to lift up. Had the same thing happen to me. Idk if you have to let it dry longer. Any one have any idea?
I learned the hard way. You actually want to peel the tape while it is still wet. When plasti dip dries, it will stretch and pull on the striped part. Hope this helps.
my grille on my mercedes is plastidip in black....it goes thru car wash without issue. However, I like to wash my car by hand... I am doing stripes tomorrow ( in silver)
U have to go fast removing tape while wet or else you your edges will peel

Trick is remove tape fast or your screwed
looks p good to me
How many cans did you use ?
2 cans
You got pull the tape when the plasti dip is still wet or it will lift it off the car
It was unmasked immediately after the final coat it drys that fast
should have peeled the 1/4" tape 1st, then the outer/centre 2" tape, then the plastic with Toronto Star news paper eh
Why not just use vinyl striping?
This is cheaper and more fun for me
plasti fly lol
A little rough
Tiger stripes. But yeah, you said it, it looks like shit. Good first attempt, and a great video for lessons to learn from.
