As a Raider fan, i miss DC! I wasn't one of those fans who wanted them to get rid of him, and honestly i believe way more fans wanted to keep him rather than let him go! Now that he is gone and Jimmy Garopolo is your quarterback I think you see how talented Derek Carr really was. Derek Carr is a good, borderline great quarterback. He's the kind of guy who could get you to a super bowl if you surround him with a better team. He just can't pull off miracles like Herbert who is a great quarterback and Mahomes who is an elite quarterback, where they can pull off greatness by themselves. But Derek Carr is at least good enough to keep your team competitive. Remember that game against the Chargers in the playoffs? How close was that game? It was a shootout where Herbert looked amazing but was carrying the team on his back. Meanwhile the Raiders as a team we're firing on all cylinders and in the end the Raiders won when Herbert finally made a mistake. That was arguably the best moment of Derek Carr's tenure as a Raider... And then you guys axed him the following year.
