- This video is the second and final part of film showing steam locomotives at work at Beitai steel works in China in September 2011. Steam is expected to finish here by the end of 2012 when new blast furnaces start to operate with diesels and conveyors.
Amazing pictures! That's one hell of an operation with all kinds of places and things that can hurt you if you don't watch what your doing. I thought the picture of the guy sleeping was classic, in the mist of all this noise and machines he catches a few winks. Thanks for posting.
Kapitalny, industrialny klimat kolei parowej.
Think you from Poland.
The're 2-8-2 Mikados class SY built in the Tangshang Locomotive works. The're based off of an ALCO design (american locomotive company) that was exported to Japan. Japan then copied the ALCO design and the locomotives were introduced to china when Japan Occupied China in WW2, the Chinese in the 60s in turn was mass producing locomotives and used the Jappenese Alco Copy design and made there own Locomotives. For some reason this class SY kept a lot of its US heritage.
Real men doing real work 👍
Hey, we do real work too according to our union and OSHA bi-laws. It just takes a bit longer but it gets done. Ope, time for my brake, I'm gonna go to Portillos for a nice hot dawg, fry, and drink. After that when have a tailboard meeting with the foreman who's me. Got ya get our fantasy 🏈 picks sorted Lol😉👷🇺🇲🥤 🌭
Show de bola parabéns!!!
I love the random clip of those guys taking a dance class that incorporates jumping jacks.
I would assume it's a warm up, some employers encourage that, yes! Even here in China
I'd say more so in China where the gov run/owns everything. Keep em fit/get more slave work out of them/less medical visits...
China manufactured the last steam locomotive several years ago. It was sold to boone scenic valley railroad in Iowa.
Someone in the UK or America should purchase one of these locos and keep it in preservation!
TrailBlazer65 Just one???? I think more than that need preserving
There's 2 in the States
Thank you from Türkiye

Luckiest guys there are the engineers and firemen !! They got the cush job of runnin' dem steamers !!
Китайцы используют всё на 100 процентов - паровоз? минимум затрат - остальное неважно.

China built new steam locomotives into the 1980s. Some have found their way to the US for excursion service.
