Rocky, your influence on my Spanish is definitely showing lol 😂 I was speaking the other day with a Mexican-American gentleman, and when we switched the conversation other to Spanish, he immediately commented on how my accent and characteristics sounded Puerto Rican... This has actually happened several times, and credit you and Bad Bunny for that 😂 much love brother 👏

I failed Spanish 3 years but had A LOT of experience with Mexican and Salvador acquaintances. I speak Spanish with a heavy Mexican accent apparently, but the fact is that I don’t comprehend enough. I will be able to say things perfectly then have the person I’m talking to turn around and speak back and sometimes get lost.
This channel is very helpful. Seriously…. Very helpful. I also need to get my tenses right. I am pretty sure when I speak with my Latin friends I sound like “I want eat food. Food good. Music good. I want music.”

Idk if you'll se this but I highly highly recommend Language Transfer, it is easily the best tool for learning the tenses. Also its free, you can look up the spanish playlist on youtube.

I’m giving this a try because I’ve been using dulingo and while it’s helping me learn to recognize words when I see them hearing actual conversation I’m hoping will help me feel more natural with pronunciation 😅

Phew reading this was a workout 😅 I’ve been learning for about a month and I’ve learned many worked just working structuring sentences the right way and understanding people better. This helped that and helped me out my pronunciation to the test!

Caribbean spanish is counter productive to anyone wanting to learn spanish. This is coming from a Puerto Rican. It's too different than the rest of the world of spanish, it will only make it harder for other spanish speakers, who are not of the caribbean (the majority), to understand you. And so, makes learning Caribbean spanish counter productive. It only makes it harder to try and learn by listening, if listening to both Caribbean and "standard" spanish. No real reason to learn Caribbean spanish, unless you plan on living in the Caribbean. Or maybe like Florida LOL.

This doesn't work for me; the speaking is way too fast; spanish speakers speak too fast; i can't follow what they are saying; my mind doesn't work that fast. Everything runs together; I can't discern individual words; there's no discernible separation between words or sentences. It sounds like they are speaking just one long, continuous multi syllable word... I can't learn to speak spanish; it's impossible for me. I can't build spanish word vocabulary; I can't remember the words and what they mean...I have been trying to learn spanish for six months now and have made absolutely no progress. I quit; I waste no more time on this...

Every language is like this to people who don’t speak that language, just keep getting reps and learning as many words as you can and your brain will
      naturally understand it over time

what's with the panic attack-ish speak? the words are right there...keep repeating something over until it sounds slower...
      any new language sounds confusing...
