- HELLO!
In this video, in this video, I talk about some of the things I wish I knew BEFORE travelling to Tunisia.
ADDITIONAL ADVICE
Always keep the receipts when you've exchanged money as you will need it to change back any loose change you have (I had to learn the hard way :( ).
Let me know what you think in the comment section below! :)

That walking with purpose advice is essential every where you go. My dad though me that when I was a child and it was definitely useful when I went to Italy. No matter where you go on this planet never show you're lost 👍
As a Tunisian person I agree about everything you said not everyone knows English it's kinda new to us we prefer speaking French cus it's easier try asking younger people and about crossing the street yeah you have to be quick but don't JUMP IN FRONT OF CARS if you are scared just look for a bunch of people who are crossing and follow them and about males it is true you have to inform them that you are with someone and before traveling I advise you to list up the places you want to go to and look them up like hammamet , sousa , Tunis the capital it will make things easier (oh and just another thing I want to add I noticed that a lot of people think Tunisian people hate black people that is not true I am not say there aren't sick people who are racist but the majority of us are really friendly🤗).
I hope this helped someone,have a great vacation,WELCOME ❤❤❤❤

Why someone visit those dangerous countries!??? Thé most Arabs / African leave their countries!! Tf how i wanna go there??? No way ..no f way
Please I need ur advice as a Tunisia advice me like u would advice a friend,, a Tunisia guy is asking me out he is a Muslim, but am a Christian and from Nigeria so scread cus I think is going to be a nightmare but he keeps pressing a feel so pity for him because he looks genuinely I don't know what to do

I'm from Tunisia and I advice you to go to soussa or monistir they are part of Tunisia
Edit: wow I just got 70 likes that's incredible
I'm from England been to hammamet&monostir in 2018 and recently went to sousse in June it was amazing so fun feel so safe best place I've ever been 🇹🇳❤
TUNISIA FOR EVER

My Tunisian side of the family are all from sousse. It’s my favourite place to visit. Not far from Enfidha airport which has direct flights from and to Gatwick
Ahla enti tounsi
For the english problem : I advise you to speak to younger people like from 37 below
Damn, then I must be one of the few that speaks English and Italian and French and Spanish and Swedish and Danish and German and Arabic and Derja. I'm a lucky 70 years old Tunisian. I would think I qualify among the under 36 yr old, sonny.
Yessss I love Tunisia 💖 married a Tunisian 💖 going my third time to visit the family in 10 days
Where are you from?

Hey im from south tunisia lol
Welcome 😊
Pls, read my comment on top of yours. Have a nice day.
The younger generation can speak english and the older one can't, just because people weren't studying the english language that much . I'm from tunisia ❤
Hi
Ty so much for this. I booked a trip an hour ago and regretted it immediately as I’ll be in a hotel room with my infant alone. This makes me feel a bit better
Like ur video 👏from Tunisia with love 🇹🇳❤️
Hi any souks or shopping markets to buy clothes
Thank you that was very honest and helpful for me as a woman who has never been to Tunisa but thinking of going this year 🙏🏽❤️
Same here
Thank you SO much for these advices, very usefull !
Tunisia is really beauteful country i'm from Tunisia
Yeah it's true here in Tunisia we speak French and Arabic more than English but there's a lot of people here speaking English especially teenagers.. I hope ur having a nice time here 💕
I'm surprised how u didn't find ppl who speak English like we learn it from 4th grade u probably should've asked teens and young ppl ❤️❤️🇹🇳
Exactly
Just because its taught from 4th grade on doesnt mean everyone speaks it. Out of my relatives only 1 speaks english. French is still more spoken there
3:40 very correct advise. ask a shop owner for directions or general advice. one uses the same approach in Morocco as well
Welcome TO Tunisia 🇹🇳✨
You're welcome anytime ❤️🇹🇳
Thank you guys for saying good things to my world :D
its a beautiful country and friendly people. i have been twice
I'm American. I live in Tunisia
Simon Hill Great! ☺️ hope you’re enjoying life over there
Is it expensive? I'm so interested in learning about what this country has to offer and people's experiences here. 🖤
@@candicane2881ot expensive at all our Currency compared to euro and dollar is unfortually weak
@@candicane2881 No its very poor and if you get in trouble its belt time i am Tunisian.
How is life there? I was thinking about moving there but they keep telling un it's a poor country, with many crises so i don't know can you tell please?
Great video... very funny though... We Americans and you Brits kinda expect EVERYONE to speak to us in English even in "their" countries...
The French who, by and large, speak some English, refuse to speak in English to Americans and Brits...
I speak fluent French and Arabic, as well as other languages, and tried to get the French to speak to me in English in Paris... Wasn't gonna happen... but the stunned look on their faces when I started speaking to them in Parisian French was priceless...
If you're lost anywhere in Tunisia just ask any one passsing by. Tunisians are so helpful. Thank you for this video :)
Thanks going to Tunis tomorrow !
Thank you so much ❤️ talking about food what is the staples food in Tunisia 😊
I love how proud you are of your homeland and your blood
For the crossing the street one, just wave while slowly walking, then they will usually at least slow down
Yeah love ur video sweety I'm a Nigerian just arrived at Tunisia but I haven't seen any of my country men (Nigerians)or English speaking people..but I love the country tho it's beautiful..

@@bukasengilbson7819 did you later get to Tunisia? If yes, how did you find the job opportunities in Tunisia?
Thankyou for this very useful video
Make sure you claim anything over 1600$ usd or else they will take the money you don’t claim. They took from me 8400$ yesterday I am still working to get it released
At the airport? You trying to live Tunis with that amount in usd?
Great video Thank you for sharing! I’m a black female who likes to travel solo and you have given me the courage to visit Tunisia.
Thank you!❤️. I hope you enjoy the country 😊🌍
Not everyone here speaks english😂 young people are more fluent hehe
Yup, makes me wonder what this Lady's talking about. I never, ever could have imagined last time I was in Sousse that there were so many Tunisians that spoke numerous languages. Amazing and I should know, I'm an old Tunisian fart riding on my seventies and a dash. Bravo les jeunes. Vous êtes amazing..sérieux.
@@pederskram4376 Hi, I’m currently in Tunisia looking for a job. Any advice please ...Thanks🙏🏾
@@MrsRosineKoudou Hi. It depends on your skills and CV. Language skills, college degrees. I suppose you can look into news papers for job adds.I got an Italian friend who does well promoting the Tunisian turist industry and gets payes through facebook and youtube. Again, it depends on you skills, in this case, on your computer skills. Good luck.

*tunisia (my bad I didn’t catch that)
I’m from Tunisia and it’s hard for them to learn English because they have to learn French and they don’t have so much English lessons🤍✨🥺♾⚡️

Visted the place last year. Wonderful country with wonderful people. A great place to visit.
Tunisia is my favourite country in North Africa. In fact I am moving to Tunisia for good and buying a house in Djerba Island in the coming months.
Aww, beautiful girl, I loved your video, some really good stuff there for the lady traveler.. I took a punt on a new travel destination today and chose Hammamet in Tunisia, my friends and family said I was CRAZY as there was a huge terrorist risk ( as of 2015 and the beach massacre) - your no-nonsense advice has really made me feel so much more confident - thank you x
Thanks for the video!
I like your energy, you do give positive vibes , and yes Tunisia IS awesome, they are transitioning from French to English, but other than that, LOVE it
Hey! Thank you so much for your comment ❤️🌍
Hi....love the video...I just want to enquire...did u require booking confirmation for all your stays before getting your visa on arrival.
Hello, I did not need a visa to enter the country so do not know. It will be useful for you to check the government’s website 😊
Tunisia is really beautiful and very educated people.you will absolutely enjoy the green color blue sea fresh air and emmm delecious fruits .so go to Tunisia it's a safe country and the country of all .and don't worry Tunisians very educated so they speak Arabic French English maybe not in all areas but they can understand and reply so .enjoy beautiful Tunisia.

Hi i'm from tunisia and i have a project about freedom ,so i think to ask black people who visit tunisia or still in tn if they feel free when they are here and questions about freedom in tunisia
so can you help me ??
Any recommendations for what ATM to use there to pull cash out?
Hi there!
I just exchanged money the old fashioned way but there are many ATMs in Tunis, I recommend using ATMs attached to banks though just in case your card is swallowed etc. if you have a Monzo or Starling card the rates would be better for you. Have a great time there! :)
My experience in Tunisia was bad they get frustrated if I can’t speak their language and there’s a lot of pressure selling and stalking
Yes this can happen sometimes. Sorry to hear you experienced this 😔
no this is not right, as a tunisian it's normal to speak your mothertongue, we don't get "frustrated" the thing is just that the main used languages are Arabic, French, English and Italian. That's why we won't understand you if you're speaking another uncommon used language like "Lithiuanian, Polish, Norwegian.." cuz we did interact with these people or lived with them to learn the language they speak. Actually in Tunisia if you're 9-10 years old then you have to know how to speak Arabic, French and English. and in Secondary you ought to choose one extra-language to learn (Italian, Russian, Spanish, German, Portuguese ...), tho i really respect your opinion.
and who'll gonna stalk you in Tunisia ? why will he even stalk you ?
Lovely video 🥰
Hi im going alone to Tunisia in the summer but im sure it will be great time in such beautiful country 😊

Hi adeola did you need a visa to travel there?
l live in Tunisia you know that - don't ask me how l know talking English l watched lot of English videos and now l know how to talk English.
Aslema hehe i am tunisian i am happy you enjoy my contrey
Fun fact: the before Tunisia was Tunisia The countrys name was Ifriqya and thats where the whole continent got the name AFRICA from and u said DONT LOOK LIKE THE AVERAGE PERSON not true at all Tunisians dont have a certain look its too blended it’s depends where in the country you are they have i higher percentage of black people then the whole uk tho im from Europe by the way🤦🏽♂️
How did they dress? What is there to do and was it expensive?
If you are coming from the U.S or a European country then no, a dollar is like 3 tunisian dinars so ywah its pretty cheap even for us tunisians, lol also we just dress like normal people you dont really see that much people going around in traditional clothes or robes. There is a lot to do here, many great places to visit and we got great food too, but if you are ever planning on going you gotta be careful where you eat, like I said the food is great but there is a lot of crappy restaurants that can give you food poisoning, so do your research and dont forget to have fun
I live their FROM usa 6 months
Originally Tunisia was the native lightskin Africans (berber) then The Arabs came then the Romans then the french.
Is tunisia expensive like what is the average salary there
Hi I’m not too sure. I believe the average salary is about £1000 per month. The capital Tunis is of course the most expensive but I found it pretty reasonable as a tourist. There are a lot of cheap places around to eat and stay at. Safe travels!🌍
crossing the roads in tunisia called YOLO so yeah ... welcome anyways
lmao!!!
Me too, couldn't help laughing out loud 😁
I am from Tunisia and where I live right now because I don’t live in Tunisia but I am from there I live in Bahrain the only people that I know that are Tunisian or like my moms friends I feel like I’m the only Tunisian of my school and my previous school and from lots of people I’m friends with none of them are Tunisian except for my moms friends kids
Thank you for this I really needed this information💕
I love Tunisian so much but I'm not living in Tunisia now
Hi I am a Tunisian I live in San Diego . The road problem is on all of Africa , Asia and Latin America , and you know why ? Not because the people in Europe or in USA are more civilized , but because USA and European countries have more Police officers watching the street and have more cameras around almost in every ramp , I live in San Diego California , and I seen a lot of cars not even respecting the remote areas when there are no cameras or police officers , it’s a matter of Government being strict with applying the rules or not , thank you for your review I love your attitude by the way , and you don’t need to tell me you’re not single lol 🤭
How you went there? How you get your visa? Its hard ...im sure you married américan....no way else

So why did you wish to know all these things, if the experience felt very safe and very enjoyable ? You could've done the video the other way around and talked about your journey, the fun things to do and at the end summarize "the things you wish you knew", the negative things that sometimes happen. Anyway thanks for the effort.
