      The Roman history is fascinating! When you have time look up the story of princess Elissa. She’s the woman who founded Carthage. She’s Phoenician. The story of how she escaped from her brother, gathered a bunch of people and found land for them is amazing to read about.

      @@TrekkingPals What you say is a myth, not a fact. The Carthaginians are Punic, not Phoenicians, and they ruled themselves as one of the first constitutional republican regimes in the world.

    Thank you for the review, I like hearing your point of view. I am a solo female traveler, I'm used to being noticed (red hair/green eyes) pretty much anywhere, but there is a big difference between "being noticed" and not being safe. I'd love to go to Tunisia - enjoy

    Edit: just watched the video. You're of Moroccan origin. I advise you to tell that to the security agents because I have seen you paid 12 TD for the ticket whereas you can pay only 5 ( maybe 8 i don't remember) as a person coming from Maghreb region. I paid that as an algerian

    • @TrekkingPals
      @TrekkingPals  Рік тому +1

      Pretty straight forward. You take the train from Tunis (Terminus metro TGM sud) and you get off at one of the stations near the first site you want to see. Every site has a ticket office from where you can purchase a ticket. It’s 12 TND and you walk or take cabs between sites. You use the same ticket to enter all of the other sites.

    Okay so I’ll be flying to Tunisia from Rome in late October of this month and my flight gets in at 3 pm and my flight leaves back to Rome the same day at 6:30 pm? What advice would you give me? I’m a male of 18 travelling alone, should I rent a taxi and will it be safe for me?

    • @TrekkingPals

      Three hours is not enough time to get out of the airport, explore and catch your return flight on time.

      @@TrekkingPals Thank you so much however, I'm adusting my flight for another date and would allow me 6 hours, I don't intend to explore the whole city just getting a glimpse of it and to be in a new contident? Would this be an issue with the customs office/immigration at Tunis airport?

    • @TrekkingPals
      @TrekkingPals  7 днів тому

      @aaravvarma1143 things can move slower there and the officers might have questions. In my opinion, 6 hours is not enough time but if you’re set on it, I would book a guided walking tour and arrange for transportation before getting there so that if the officers ask, you can tell them that you have a lay over and a booked tour that you can show them too. Email me at Wearetrekkingpals@gmail.com I can help you plan.

      @lewishudson231 You’re welcome. Even tho Tunisia is much more progressive with women rights in general compared to a large number of countries in the MENA but it’s still better to dress according to what’s acceptable for the local population. My rule is to observe how women are dressed in the street and cover to that level or closer.
