Not everyone chooses Spanish as a second language. I congratulate the students who can speak a second language anyway. Sometimes the second language is English (that's my case). :)

My mother tongue is Spanish, I noticed it more neutral. but the French accent I did notice when she said the word in French

Its quite funny that the brazillian guy could have answered the question in portuguese without problem and the man could still understand.
I have been taught 0 Portuguese but it is so similar to my second language Spanish, I can almost always read it and make perfect sense of what's going on. I can't speak it at all but I bet I could have a conversation with someone speaking it and not have much problems

@@manuelarnauda The Galician and Portuguese are more similar than Spanish. They were the same language, before Portugal and norwest of Spain become two different countries.

Well, It won'tn be easy, but if you learn Mexican Spanish it can be easier. Seems like we have in Mexico great influence from US English and so we can now learn better from each other.

Español, Ingles, tener ambos como una rutina cotidiana es la mejor experiencias que puede un ser humano vivir. sabiendo que ambos son los idiomas mas global para muchos lugares. excelente a los que estan triunfando dominar el idioma español.

I'm 47 yo from Rome and I meet in street many north Americans. In all my life I met just two people from there that could speak a second language: one was a teacher of Latin, the other a missionary of the Mormon temple. I've the idea that they are not able to learn two foreign words in a row.
I from the US, and just in my small community I know many people who speak multiple languages, (myself included)
But if you want to get down too it, there's really not a need to speak multiple languages here😕 in Europe its completely different, but here we have Canada above us, who speaks English, and Mexico bellow us, who speaks Spanish. so except for a few, you'll really only find people who speak either English or Spanish of both. But yeah, not much variety.

Maybe because not every American chooses Spanish as a second language, my school didn’t even have that as an option, it either Latin or Greek
Native English speakers have the least need to speak a 2nd language. I’m one of them, I speak 3 languages, but it’s difficult because many people want to practice their English with me. Many times you’ll be more popular in non-English-speaking countries if you only speak English….or fake that u do. Ironic.
I’m Latina so I’m currently learning English cuz I’m living in the usa just a few months so this actually encourage me to keep going and that it can work out :)
