Draco’s mother Narcissa betrayed Voldemort. She asks Harry if Draco is still alive, knowing he went to confront him. Harry nods slightly and Narcissa lies and says he is dead. Twice Voldemort was defeated by a mother’s love for their son; Lily’s sacrifice and Narcissa’s sole intention to keep Draco safe

It's explained in the books, that patronuses are like representations of the soul, so when you get a matching pair like Harry's parents, a doe and a stag, then those people are said to be soulmates. However, it's also said that when someone loves another so deeply, their patronus can change to match the one they love. Snape's patronus changed into a doe because he loved Lily so deeply. In the books, the same happens to Tonks, whose patronus changes into a wolf like Lupin's because she's madly in love with him, and they have their own story arc.

Harry’s speech to Voldemort at the very end was one of my favourite parts of the book. The way he explains to Voldemort that he literally made the same mistake as he did by killing Lilly, and how he has protected everyone in hogwarts with the same magic as Lilly did with Harry….. criminal that it wasn’t in the movie.

    • @importaku
      @importaku 7 місяців тому +54

So many parts the omitted or changed it totally ruined the ending. Harry explaining to everyone in the great hall how voldermort screwed up and showing everyone the truth that some only half believed it was the most satisfying bit the ultimate told you so to everyone there who doubted, also Harry in Dumbledores office using the elder want to repair his damaged wand back to life with the original then been laid back to rest with Dumbledore. The battle with the house elves taking part including Kreacher who Harry had won over by giving him Regulus's locket, all omitted to save CGI budget. Or the impressive scene in the book where Harry and Voldermorts wands first battled & forced priori incantatum to be cast the book made it something amazing to witness with them both been lifted from the ground in a golden cage of light, in the film it looked rubbish & nothing like the book.
The story fully deserved to be told with respect to the books but was chopped up and ruined.

I think it was natural progression for the character. It was easier, and maybe what he thought was his only way to survive, by hiding at home, since he was alone against a bunch of death eaters, and going back to Hogwarts, a place that reminded him of Tom and what he had done, was something he didn’t want to face and overcome. When he finally went back, he became close to Harry and the other students. You could tell that Slughorn was always a really good teacher. He cared for his students and was a mentor to them. That’s why the innate trusting of Tom Riddle. He was the opposite of Snape and used positive reinforcement. He never demeaned or abused his students. When he finally gave Harry the horcrux memory, and neither Harry nor Dumbledore blamed or judged him for what he had done, he felt unburdened and grateful, because it was a guilt that he had been carrying for years. I think at that point is when he started to feel indebted to them. Plus, being around the other students and teachers who were fighting, also gave him courage. He cared too much for the school and the students at that point to run away.

The significance of harry snapping the wand is one of those things you only really get if you read the books - but basically, being master of death is a fools errand, anyone who is capable of attaining it shouldn't want it. Whenever anyone tries, it inevitably becomes their downfall, like the brothers in the story (except the one with the cloak, who had the right idea in the end and accepted death on his terms).
This includes Dumbledore, who knew better, but still couldn't resist - the reason his hand is so messed up for the later movies is that when he got hold of the resurrection stone he couldn't resist trying to use it to see his dead sister again, except it's cursed so it ruined his hand (and would have killed him eventually, if he didn't die anyway). Dumbledore was terrified of possessing all three, because he knew he wouldn't be able to resist using them, and being, well, Dumbledore, this is not good for the universe.
So the scene where harry snaps the wand, though slightly different to how he handles it in the movies, is supposed to prove that he had a power that even Dumbledore didn't have - the ability to possess all of the hallows and still reject being master of death despite the temptation.

I don’t believe Draco’s redemption is a complete cop out. Maybe for his parents, or at least his father… But if you think about it, Draco knew nothing else, he basically just emulated his parents and repeated everything they told him. Which is what children tend to do until they are old enough to see the world through their own eyes and experiences. Draco craved his father’s approval and his fear of Voldemort kept him on the wrong side even when he started to question it. Granted he did some horrible things, but being saved by Harry might have been the last push he needed to fully see the truth. At the end of this movie I often wonder what type of adult he became, if he’s just as narcissistic as his parents or if he’s tried to be a better person, and if he carries any guilt for his past. I can’t remember how much was answered in the book, it’s been a while since I read them. Seeing them walk away from the fight and not take sides was anything but a redemption, it was probably seen as cowardly by the wizarding community forever after, and it shows that they were always in it for themselves until it was no longer beneficial… Draco at least glimpsed what real sacrifice and heroism was, and he had to live on with the guilt knowing what part he played.

Please read! Some cool things you might find awesome:
    1) During the scene where Snape duels Mcgonagall in the great hall, Snape purposely bounces her spells back towards the death eaters behind him in an effort to keep the students safe but still keep his disguise as a Voldemort loyalist. Subtle, but really shows how much of a genius Snape was and how he continues to always sacrifice himself.
    2) In book, Slytherin students and professors are given a choice to fight alongside the other houses. Some choose to side with Harry (including Professor Slughorn). As you can imagine, that must be difficult as many children’s parents are death eaters or supporters of Voldemort.
    3) When Harry, Ron, and Hermione are running to the boathouse and have to cross the Hogwarts courtyard which is a battlefield - there is a homage to the major challenges the trio has faced together previously. In sequential order, they dodge a troll (book 1), spiders (book 2), warewolf and demontors (book 3), etc.
    4) Snape was never the master of the elder wand. Dumbledore purposefully let Draco disarm him in the tower at end of book 6 prior to Snape killing him to ensure the wand passes to Draco. There was a lot of luck going forward, including Harry disarming Malfoy at Malfoy manor prior to the death of Dobby. Therefore Harry was the master of the elder wand from that point forward (unknowingly). So when Voldemort kills Snape, he effectively kills him for no reason. During the final duel between Voldemort and Harry, the elder wand is used against its own master and it does not work as intended for Voldemort.
And of course so much more! If you want to know how amazingly thought out this story was from the start, I urge you to read the books! From way deeper character growth, to Voldemorts story and how he even chose each horcrux, there’s much much more to experience and the movies are just the tip!

They explain it better in the book. Your patronus is kind of a representation of your personality, what's in your soul. When something happens or you meet someone that shakes the very foundation of who you are on a fundamental level, your patronus can change to reflect that. Lilly was a part of Snape (he was fundamentally changed the day he met her), so his patronus matched hers when he learned to create it. It's worth noting, most death eaters could not produce a patronus. Sidenote: In the books, Tonks's patronus changes to a wolf to represent Lupin's place in who she has become.

Oh, man.... seeing Fred laying on the floor in the Great Hall dead is heartbreaking, but seeing Ron, who's usually so cheerful, break down in tears makes it worse every time I watch.
Two points I've made in the past regarding Harry Potter:
    1. The prophecy Professor Dumbledore mentioned in Professor Snape's memory mentioned a baby born at the end of July was partially true. There were actually two: Harry Potter and Neville Longbottom. They were born in the same month and year, but Neville is only 1 day older than Harry.
    2. After the Battle For Hogwarts, George Weasley was never able to cast the Patronus Charm again, since it relies on your happiest memory to work, and literally ALL of his happy memories involved his deceased twin brother Fred.
Another note: l actually attended the midnight premiere of Deathly Hallows Part 2 at a theater here in my hometown. The scene where Molly steps up to Bellatrix got such a huge cheer from the audience in the auditorium we were all in, watching a 3D version of the movie with 3D glasses that looked like Harry's glasses.

It mentions 1 child and it could have been Harry or Neville but as Harry was half blood like Voldemort, Voldemort chose him.. marking him as his equal and already beginning to fulfil the prophecy. (The one with the power to vanquish the dark lord approaches. Born to those who have thrice defied him, born as the seventh month dies…).

Theres more to your part 1 that you should have added. Its more than just a baby born at that time. Its a baby born at the end of July who's parents had twice defied the dark lord. Neville's parents also qualified in that regard. Neville literally could have been the chosen one, but the reason he picked Harry is Harry, like himself, had a parent that was muggle-born. He saw more of himself in Harry. Despite what he says, he despises pure-bloods and feels more comfortable around half bloods... which also explains Snape to him.

It's a misconception that you have to kill the owner of the elder wand just because that's how everyone had taken it before becuase I'd imagine it's easier to just kill the owner of the most powerful wand in the world while they're defenseless/asleep so voldemort was wrong about that. Unfortunately, luna and nevile didn't stay together. Luna ended up marrying a scamander which after you watch the fantastic beasts movies that will make a lot more sense😂. Molly "saying not my daughter" hurts more when you realize she just lost one of her sons. I feel like this movie more than the others relies on the viewers to have read the books.

Neville married Hannah Abbott who bought The Three Broomstick tavern, and he became the next professor of Herbology.

Molly had already lost her 2 brothers in the last wizarding war to the death eaters though too. She lost a lot more than just her one son.

I literally grew up at the same time as the movies and the books released, this means a lot to me, and I truly appreciate your reactions, your natural emotions and feelings about this, I've been here from the start, but HP franchise is one of my favorites so... I salute you Potterhead! ❤ Thanks for this again!

The cloak was on loan to Dumbledore from James Potter. He knew about the Elder Wand and had the Resurrection(or Sorcerer's) Stone. He was thinking that the cloak was the one from the story as most invisibility cloaks only lasted a few years, and this one had been passed down for years.

Sorcerer stone would be Nicolas Flamel's stone which was destroyed at the end of the 1st movie. Resurrection stone is a whole other thing

To many, Alan Rickman is the most perfect casting and most brilliant acting as Snape in these movies. He drops subtle hints all along his true feelings and intentions to Harry and others, while trying to hide them as well

Alex did you notice what Snape was doing? He was only defending himself and he clearly diverted McGonagall's spell on to the Carrows (brother and sister death eaters behind Snape) silently without them expecting it. 😅

Hi Alex! I just got done watching all of your Harry Potter reactions and I can't express how happy they have made me! I am an INSTANT fan. I haven't been having the best few days but these videos made me laugh, cry, and feel all the emotions again I felt when I read the books and watched the films. Thanks for making me smile 🥰 and I am NOT surprised to see you're a fellow Hufflepuff! 🦡💛 I can't wait to watch you react to more movies that I love so much!
