Fun Fact: Alan Rickman was told by JK Rowling when he was cast in the first movie the big secret that Snape treated Harry the way he did because he hated Harry’s father because he bullied Snape as a child, but still looked out for him because he was in love with Harry’s mother. He promised to never tell anyone until the final book came out. Alan Rickman should’ve gotten a damn Oscar nomination for this movie. He was absolutely phenomenal throughout the pencieve scene, it’s heartbreaking to watch.
You should read the books. It's not like James was a bully and Snape a victim... They both were idiots. The point is James changed as he became an adult and Snape kept on bullying children. Imagine a 13 years old boy having you as his greatest fear. That's the real Snape
@aldiyar618Not necessarily, he argued with directors because he knew more than they did. They weren't aggressive arguments, just strong disagreements.
Imagine... Being a fan from the beginning... and having waited 10 years to see the end... My childhood revolved around this saga and greatly influenced who I am today. Not a year goes by without me watching the 8 films several times, or reading the books
Year, it's about me❤and Dumbledor's death broke my heart, remembered when after watching in the cinema part 6 I cried 3 weeks ... I was exhausted.... As if I lost something important in my life😢😢😢😢
Do you remember hearing the stories of the goobers that skipped to the end of book 6 when it came out and yelled out “Dumbledore dies!” To all the people waiting in line for their turn for the book?! I would have been so pissd 😂
@@TheR15C Those people were obnoxious, immature attention seekers. That was disgusting. Just because they have miserable lives doesn’t mean they have to ruin things for everyone else.
Harry Potter audio books are really great too. It's combines the benefits of the movie + the details of the books. Definitely give it a try if you haven't listened! There are 2 versions - British and American, both are great interpretations.
but the only thing is he wasnt a good man but did what he should do in the end. But still he is not considered as good he ruined his chance with Lily, a long time ago. And forever was in pain because of what he did. In the books he did it to himself . James bettered himself and got LIly.
@@moontainbew5018 I know Snape was written to be a good guy, or at least on the good side. However, I cannot help to see Snape as someone who plays both sides, trying to be on the winning one.
@@ghyslainabel its your view an thats fine, he was ONLY on the side of good because of Lily, JK said when a kid asked her just if Snape didnt like Lilly would he care if Lily and Harry died, and she said , NO he wouldnt care a smidge. Not a single bit, he only did what he did because of LIly, the movies show him as this great image, yes he helped Harry, yes he loved Lily, yes he died to help Harry, but as JK stated its just because of LIly mostly. He loved her. Its HER he cares about even in the books, he said save HER DUMBLEDORE then Dumbledore is like what abotu son and James ... he is like then FINE save them all. But it was only LIly. I know you really like Snape, but how he was written and as a character one has to accept how she wrote him not how one thinks, and i hate when also JK changes her mind, once you row with something stick by your originial. But she stated he is a bitter damaged man there could of been good, same as Voldermort could of maybe been good but power, dark arts and family ruined them lead them to dark side Snape saw many DIE get killed not give a F. But he loved LIly that all he cared for until Dumbledore said he has her eyes. But he s till ruined Neville, blamed him for not dying but his Lily . He was a damage man so he is brave, he is good in sense, but that is all he is. As JK said he isnt really a hero, persay. He is a broken gray area guy, that did the right hings for basically not the good ot the world persay .. But did it mostly for Lily.
@@moontainbew5018Can't people have different opinions. Every Person's opinions are based on their past experiences. A person bullied in School will always have a slight bit of sympathy for Snape, likewise a redemted bully will sympathise towards James. And a redemption never happens until a turning point. Lily's Death was Snape's turning point, just as Lily's love was James... Also given his immense Love for Lily, though not justificable, but gives substantial reasoning for his hate towards the two boys. I do not consider anything outside of the 7 books as Canon, coz JK has said hell lot of senseless things like Harry-Hermoine ship, etc. in her tweets/interviews and how good she is w/ tweets we all know that, don't we?😅
@@WaddIes Harry never destroyed the wand in the books. This movie version is ludicrous. He left the stone in the forest, left the wand in Dumbledore's coffin and kept the cloak. To this day, he is still the Master of the Eldar Wand.
That scene was J.K.Rowling (Book) and the directors (Movies) slapping us awake with some revealed truths . i remember i watched this scene with teary eyes and for once , like harry in the graveyard scene , just letting the tears flow.
Did you noticed that when Snape was defending himself from mcgonogal he deflected her spells to the Carrow sibling death eaters behind them & took their wands when he stood over them for one second so they can’t hurt anyone.
did you notice that snape made absolutely sure he was in a position to hurt hermione and neville as much as possible, for 6 years for no other reason than his own spite and amusement
@@godemperorofmankind3.091 Actually, relevant. Effects of psychological trauma in childhood or adolescence is a thing to look up. But I get you are out to prove your point, so my comment will probably do nothing.
I think it's an interesting visual when they show Draco staring at his father and NOT moving an inch when Lucius is calling him, but when his Mother says very gently "come." Draco suddenly twitches for a moment unsure about what to do. It shows a kind of power dynamic shifting in the family. When Lucius called Draco is was desperate, but also a command. The way he's treated Draco his whole life. But Narcissa called to him like a Mother. Not a Command. I suspect that from that moment on, there was a significant power shift in their family. Narcissa became the alpha in charge and Draco was her heir, and Lucius had to settle for just being lucky to be a part of the family. Of course I'm just musing, but from the way Draco ONLY started to act confused after his Mother called to him, it shows she's stepped up her role as a mother and started overruling Lucius. It always seemed like Lucius was kind of a bully, even to Draco.
Oh, man.... seeing Fred lying on the floor in the Great Hall dead is heartbreaking, especially seeing Ron break down in tears. (Hearing that Harry had to sacrifice himself to give them a chance of defeating Voldemort and the Death Eaters didn't help that grief.) Also, I was at the midnight premiere of The Deathly Hallows Part 2 in 3D. The scene where Mrs. Weasley took out Bellatrix got a massive cheer from the audience. 6 points I've made in the past regarding Harry Potter: 1. The prophecy Professor Dumbledore mentioned in Professor Snape's memory that mentioned a baby born at the end of July was partially true. There were actually two: Harry Potter and Neville Longbottom. They were born in the same month and year, but Neville is only 1 day older than Harry. (Neville: 30 July 1980, Harry: 31 July 1980.) Voldemort had chosen to target a then 15-month-old Harry, thus marking him as his equal. Neville lived a life free of that fear with his grandmother, despite the constant painful reminder of his parents being permanently admitted to St Mungo's Hospital for Magical Maladies and Injuries after being tortured into insanity by Bellatrix Lestrange. 2. After the Battle For Hogwarts, George Weasley could never cast the Patronus Charm again, since it relies on your happiest memory to work, and literally ALL of his happy memories involved his deceased twin brother Fred. Most likely for a while, until he married Angelina Johnson and named his son after his twin. (According to The Wizarding World website) 3. Voldemort's death after his battle with Harry wasn't supposed to look like he got snapped out by Thanos, and it wasn't just them isolated in the courtyard. In the book, Harry and Voldemort battle for the last time in front of everyone else, resulting in Voldemort dying as a mortal man once Neville sliced off Nagini's head, effectively saving Ron & Hermione in the process. 4. Harry didn't snap the Elder Wand in the book version. He mends his original wand (the one he got in Philosopher's Stone from Ollivander's) with it, then returns it to Professor Dumbledore's grave. 5. I give HUGE props to Narcissa for straight-up lying to Voldemort after Harry confirmed that Draco was alive. It shows that neither she nor her son wanted the Death Eater life. 6. That one goblin who stared in shock as the Ukrainian Ironbelly busted through the floor of Gringotts seriously looked a bit like Donald Trump. 😆🤣
Still irks me to this day that they changed the ending. Voldemort's death was symbolic and meant to show him as he truly was, just a man terrified of death, not a supernatural being. In the book, the bond between Harry and his wand is more fleshed out, and fixing the wand in Dumbledore's office would've been a nice touch of something old coming back, especially after we lost Hedwig.
I have always thought that breaking the elder wand was one of the rare times the change for the movies is better. Harry goes on to become an auror, the fact that there is even the slightest risk that he could lose mastery of the elder one is enough of a reason to snap it.
I want to add to the 5th part that Dobby knew about Harry Potter from Draco's stories and because master Draco wanted to be friend with Harry Potter, Dobby wanted to be friend with him also
@@EllaMaria1234 tbf Draco mainly offered his hand out to Harry when they first met as Lucius would want him close as at the time the death eaters theorised that Harry could be the next dark lord. After that there was no part of Draco that wanted to be his friend.
45:37 Both the movie and your hands holding together is the most delightful scene, I don't think my heart can take it. Thank you for being part of this. 😹
A bit of lore from the novel; Goblins have a different view on items that they make. They see it as a gift to the person it was made for. When that person dies, it returns to the Goblins. It's like a loan, while alive. The Sword of Gryffindor is seen by the Goblins, as belonging TO the Goblins, and its stolen property until returned. Bill Weasely did explain that to Harry before he went to talk to Griphook. Be careful about your dealings with Goblins. This movie has one of my favourite delivered lines: "I've always wanted to use that spell". It's almost as good as the Goblet Of Fire "Hermione. You're a girl" "Oh, well spotted."
I love the 2 lines that you mentioned, plus "Of course, Sir, I'm an elf !" from Dobby with the startled (that they - wizards - don't know this obvious fact) tone
"they are going to fall in love, the kids." they are cousins lol. Oh and draco's kid and harry potter's son albus potter do not became rivals, they are best friends
That was one adorable intro ❤ Griphook, being so knowledgeable when it comes to the Sword of Gryffindor, sure sounds weird asking for it as payment for sneaking Harry into Gringotts. It makes you wander if he truly wanted the sword or if he just tested Harry's willingness to sacrifice anything for his mission. I'm glad you pointed out how Ollivander was embarassed about helping (well, being tortured into helping) Voldemort. It's a recurring theme throughout the movies, we've seen it with Slughorn too in the 6th movie and to a certain degree, with Ravenclaw's ghost too. Usually people get angry, want to hurt the one who tricked them, but with Voldemort, it's just shame. 7:03 - that's what makes the Imperio Curse that much more horrifying when compared to Cruciatus, which simply tortures, inflicts physical pain. With Imperio, you can make a person do whatever you want, inflict much more damage to their psyche by making them do somethin they would never do normally. The escape from the bank, with the formerly imprisoned dragon - it was nothin short of epic back then and seeing it again with you was just as mindblowing. Aberforth's introduction is pretty shocking - you get the chance to see someone so angry at Dumbledore, and a relative, his brother, at that. That makes you wonder just how badly things have gotten between them. McGonagall stepping up and chasing Snape away was one incredibly badass scene. Right after, she sends the Slytherin to the dungeons, organizes the defenses, brings the statues to life in order to defend the school - they really made up for her reduced screentime in the previous movies. 20:40 - this was by far one of the highlights of this video, loved to see what a powerful reaction drew out of you two! 23:00 - Hermione certainly loved to see that Ron's actually been paying attention to what she said and remembered. 26:40 - Aberforth really seemed to inspire those around him, that was a fantastic scene, repelling all those dementors. 27:00 - Here we can see just how little Voldemort knows, despite his boasting about how exceptional he is. To him, only killing can be the way in which you gain control of an opponent's wand. It never occured to him that something as simple as disarming the opponent is enough. Seeing her eyes one last time before letting go - Snape's final words "You have your mother's eyes" hurt that much more once you find out all he did for the Potters. The flashbacks, finally seeing Snape's fully story - this is by far the most heartbreaking moment in all 8 movies. 33:08 - Dumbledore was being a bit ironic with that line, given how Snape was so reticent to help Harry but he did everythin to protect his mom. In the end, Harry did the bravest thing possible: he got rid of the two Deathly Hallows that could only bring him unhappiness and kept the one that's the most inconspicuous. The scenes from "19 years later" were such a relief to see, especially after the way the action ended in the "present time". Harry explaining to his son what his names mean, how he can choose his house - it feels like the circle is finally complete. Thank you for the beautiful reaction and for sharing this incredible journey with all of us ❤ If you feel like staying into the Harry Potter universe for just a bit longer, "Fantastic Beasts" trilogy is somethin to check out. The story is intriguing, the characters will make you get attached to them very quickly and the prospect of finding out more about Dumbledore should be enough incentive on its own to check it out 😉
I’m glad you ladies enjoyed the ending as I did. Though I wished they had my favorite part at the end of book in the movie. It was Ron telling the kids that if they were not sorted into Gryffindor they will be disinherited, and then adds “but no pressure.” And Hermione is like “Ron!” LOL😂😂 And Snape’s death really hit me hard, especially the truth about his love for Lily.
Fun fact when they’re in the room of requirements & Goyle catches the place on fire, the flames take the forms of the four houses animals, Lion, Eagle, Badger, & Snake.
I took one month to comment, but I need to say: You two are the best and have my favorite Harry Potter saga reaction ever! I growed together with all movies and I watched your videos having the same emotions from my first time watching them. It's not just nostalgia, this saga is really good and I truly feel connected with you two. The entire reaction and feelings are spetacular, but from this moment (48:00) I felt even more emotional. I love you, Magy and Foxy, thank you for these incredible and genuine emotions, all the beauty inside and out that you always have. ❤❤❤
Think how those who actually grew up with Harry Potter felt, who waited for each new film and after 10 years it was all over... Yes, I'm among them and those were the best years of my life, despite the pain. After all this time? Always ❤
I really can't imagine how that must have felt . for someone who finished the whole series in two weeks , i got so attached to it, it hurts. if i can wish from the deepest of my heart to live in The Wizarding World , i can't imagine how bad those who literally grew up with the series felt
his hatred for james could have not been the only reason he bullied harry so much, he bullied multiple children who had nothing to do with james, that was just a dumb excuse for his behavior. In fact if he loved lily so much you would have thought he would be nice to harry at least.@@chaddon7685
@@chaddon7685 I don't think he bullied children. He did bully Neville but that's 1 child. I don't think he bullied any other kid. Ron and Harry he had a mutual bad relationship with. And with Hermione he only made 1 insult where it was mean and unnecessary and unprovoked by Hermione which was about her teeth. She deserved the insufferable know it all by breaking the rules, Snape made it clear he didn't want her to answer and she did so twice not just once either.
@denizkenger52 He's an adult teacher. He bullied Neville to the point that he was the thing Neville was most afraid of. He made fun of Hermione's looks, on top of treating her poorly. He punished Harry for being the son of a man while helping him from behind the scenes for being the son of a woman. But if a parent took care of a kid by still mocked them and called them names, that'd still be bullying. He took points from houses just because they weren't Slytherin and allowed Slytherin students to bully others. He was a teacher with a genuine power dynamic that he lauded over students. I genuinely think it's incredible to claim he's not a bully. Also, you point to two moments covered in the books/movies - which don't cover every day. Do you also think Draco's only bullying moments are the ones mentioned in the books/movies?
@@chaddon7685 i already accept he bullied Neville. He made fun of Hermione’s appearance once as I mentioned, bullying is repeated over a period of time this is just once. The poor treatment otherwise was provoked by Hermione so not bullying. Harry mocked Snape and treated him bad too, so this is just mutual conflict rather than bullying as both sides are mistreating each other. He usually had reasons for taking points off people so I wouldn’t generalise it as doing it because they’re not Slytherins. There are unfair moments of course but I don’t think it’s the regular. I never said he’s not a bully. I said he didn’t bully children. I said he bullied Neville who is a child, but children means multiple kids and I don’t think he bullied any child but Neville. Wdym? Do you expect me to give examples of things that didn’t happen just because they could’ve happened? Do you also think Dumbledore abused Voldemort when he was a kid because there’s no direct mention against it?
33:14 most of us book fans, agree that they should’ve added a specific scene with Tonks. Allow me to explain: in the half blood Prince Tonks has gone through some changes along with her Patronus, Harry questions why her Patronus changed. At the end of the book and reveals that she’s in love with Lupin, and that a Patronus will change to match the ones we love. So when Dumbledore asks: “Lily… after all this time?” He is really asking “You still love her… after all this time?” To which, a shiver will run down my spine every time I hear it, Snape replies “Always…”. You see… Lily Evens (Potter)’s Patronus was a Doe… Ps. Also most people tend to forget but Neville showed himself to be a true Griffindore cause he was able to pull the sword out of the hat.
Technically though the books never confirmed Snape's patronus was a doe because of Lily. As in, it could've always been set to be a doe as we never see a change for him and it's never directly said that his patronus took the form of doe due to Lily's patronus being a doe. There is an unlikely chance it would've been doe even if he hadn't met Lily. I know most don't consider it a possibility of course and it makes things less intense but it is a possibility.
In the Book Harry used the Elder Wand and the Reparo Spell to Fix his Original Holly and Phoenix Feather wand and it fixed it but he puts the Elder Wand back in dumbelldore’s Tomb so if Harry Dies of Old Age or a Natural Death the Elder wands Power will die with Harry so it will be Useless.
Major plot point that isn't talked about in the movies and so it confuses people: The reason why Harry was able to survive was because Voldemort took his blood, effectively taking Lily's protection into himself, binding Harry to life as long as Voldemort remained alive. With that and the Elder Wand belonging to Harry, he was double protected from Voldemort killing him.
It reminded me of the play "Cyrano de Bergerac" from Edmond Rostand, especially the end. I recommend it, if you haven't read it already. Don't focus on the details if it's hard to read, but the storyline is really great. I've seen no movie able to really pay good tribute to the book to this day. Cyrano is a true Griffindor, for sure ^^
Dobby's death always makes me lose it. 😢 I always have to take a quarter hour to pull myself back together before watching Deathly Hallows Part 2. It's: Dobby dies They bury him I turn the movie off I shower - Crying the whole time I put in Part 2; "You'll pay for everyone you hurt, Tom."
it was adorable - if you haven't seen it, you should watch Magy's first viewing of Return of the King, at the end she was utterly inconsolable... she must have cried for 15 minutes. It was the most genuine reaction I've ever seen and it sold me as a fan for good.
I was going to suggest this but I figured someone already did. That special made me ugly cry and I am a dude. It really made the final movie a conclusion to the story instead of me wanting more.
A lot of reactors dont get this, but they dont give bellatrix's wand at the bank cause the goblins are going to keep it. They know she is not the real bellatrix as they had been warned. (Griphook says this in the movie, but many reactors dont catch it). So the goblins are just asking for the wand to take it from them and return it to the real bellatrix.
I give mad props to people like Helena Boheim Carter (Bellatrix's actress) and anyone else who was "acting" under the polyjuice potion as you literally have to act like you're acting like your own character, but in a different enough way to make it obvious that someone else is your character, but not too obvious because obviously they are trying to disguise themselves. So yeah, do give props to anyone who had to do that in all of these movies! And of course Professor Snape.. we now know the truth. But.. if you follow him through almost every Harry Potter movie, at one point or another in most of them he really does try to protect and aide Harry. -In the Philospher's Stone: He casts an anti spell to help Harry survive on his broom when Voldemort tried to kill him in the Quiditch match -In The Chamber of Secrets: Snape was the first one to show Harry the Expelliarmus spell (The Disarming charm), Harry would use this throughout every single movie after. He also disarms the snake that Malfoy tries to sick on Harry in the movie -In the prisoner of Azkaban: Snape REALLY wants the kids to read up on werewolves and lycans even though it's not what they were studying at all at the time. This is because Snape knows about Lupin and Serius Black being shapeshifters. He also arrives in the shack to help control the situation by disarming everyone in the room until he knows who is against Harry. He throws himself in front of Harry and the others as a transformed Lupin is about to attack them. He also is out in the corridors at night when Harry is roaming around and attempts to get Harry back to his room safely before Lupin shows up and does the same. -In The Order of the Phoenix: Snape attempts to teach Harry the power to resist Voldemort's mind invasion powers that were bothering Harry and really did attempt to give him what advice he could, even if Harry was resistant to his advice. Snape also doesn't help Umbridge at all throughout the movie even when asked to -In the Half Blood Prince: Snape stops Harry from going up to the upper parts of the bell tower where he would have been easily apprehended. He also stops Bellatrix from capturing or killing Harry outside of Hagrid's hut, instead disarming Harry himself with a less potent spell. -In the Deathly Hollows Part 1: Snape suggests using decoys to transport Harry safely in the beginning. Snape also is the one who guides Harry to the sword of Gryffindor (as we find out in this movie). Along with all of this he tried to undermine Voldemort every step of the way if possible. In a sense, Snape was the man who cared most about Harry in the entire school and risked his life multiple times in the process.
@@vedjoshi260 Right. I think he really did secretly love Harry in a way as well. Like obviously he loved his mother more.. but in the end, he was the last bit of her in the world.. so I think he loved him in a way as well. The thing he hated most is just how he looked of course I'm sure.. reminded of Harry's father. But.. yeah, I always thought he did love him as well by the end.. even about half way through the books/movies perhaps. He slowly changes and you can tell he wants to protect Harry as much as he could.
Many people seem to misunderstand that line from Dumbledore: "Don't tell me now you've grown to care for the boy?" This is in no way said to make it look like Dumbledore doesn't care about Harry, as if he IS a pig for slaughter like Snape said. It is instead exactly and only what Dumbledore means: He's questioning Snape's care for Harry. And i wouldn't say Snape really cares for Harry like that, but he's a reminder of Lily and he'll care for that.
How powerful Narcissa has to be that she is able to block Voldemort from invading her head and read that she is lying about Harry being dead. Her decision to abandon Voldemort is smart, because: 1. Harry SURVIVED being avadakedavra-ed by Voldemort WITH the Elder Wand, she ain't gonna mess with someone like that, survived Voldemort TWICE. 2. She is not a Death Eaters herself, and kind of "forced" into the whole situation because of her husband and her sister. Watching Voldemort belittle and punish Lucius and Draco, the two thing she held dear the most, must takes it tolls on her, and once she sensed weakness, she pulled Lucius and Draco out of the hole and walked away, saving the whole Malfoy family from total disgrace. 3. I think her turnback point is when she saw the massacre of Griphook and Gringots security team for their failure, it happens in their dining room as well along with all the previous torture and murders done by Voldemort, forever staining her beloved home with dark history. And that's why she's my favorite character. She's neither good nor bad, just a woman trying to survive an impossible situation.
The only thing i could think is what Harry said to the Goblin. The sword came to us in a time of need. The sword will always appear to a Gryffindor in a time of need. Love your reactions, you girls are so adorable and cute.
Hey ladies so we made it through the emotional journey that is the Harry Potter series. If you and Laura are up to it Magy I recommend watching "Thank you Harry-A Harry Potter Tribute" on youtube for a trip down memory lane 😀 And thanks ladies for taking us all with you on your Harry Potter Journey 😊🧙♂️🧙♀️🧙
This series were just depressing 😢😂lol 😭😭 Sirius Black: “We’re here ❤you see” I’m crying again Actually, in the books too, they don’t say it in the movies but Harry he named his other son James Sirius Potter 😢🥹
In the book, Harry basically performed the Love Sacrifice Lily did on him when he sacrificed himself to VOLDY.... to the ENTIRE SCHOOL. So when the battle ensues, people are not dying which is so amazing.
This one's my favourite of all the Harry Potter films! The theme song in the beginning (called "Lily's Theme") is one of the best scores in this series and gives me chills every time. It's been nice to rewatch these films with you two, it really showed even through the screen how much you grew to love these characters and the world of Harry Potter 😊
Yes, Severus has ALWAYS protected Harry. Even at the end of the sixth book, after killing Dumbledore, he hints at HOW Harry can defeat him: close his mouth and mind. Of course Potter didn't get the hint.
Thank you so much for your feedback, it was amazing. I would like to give Laura a hug, I mean, I know Magy also cried a lot during the movie, but Laura suffered much more, even at the end of the video, how cute she is. ❤
That's not entirely true. He would care if Harry died. He loved Lily but he also protected Harry because of his love for her on several occasions. Not just because Dumbledore ordered him to. Snape was a jerk but he's not evil like Voldemort or Umbridge.
@@LunaticKD1991 I didn’t say he was evil. I said he didn’t like Harry. He makes that very clear in the book 7 “Prince’s Tale”. When Dumbledore asks Snape “Have you grown to care for the boy after all?” To which Snape shouts in reply “ For HIM?!!!” and produces Lily’s patronus.
@@chrissaturn489movie Snape was a bad character too. But Alan Rickman is a PERFECT ACTOR (PERSON) OF ALL THESE MOVIES. And people like him. Not Snape.
Don't put away your wands girls.....☺. Remember , you two now have to watch how the whole magical world really began. "Fantastic Beast and Where to Find Them" series. The story takes you to the beginning of all wizards including Dumbledore and how they fought against evil. Correct me if I am wrong...but I think there are "5" movies. Check it out and enjoy!🥰🥰
Snape’s my absolute favourite character. Not just HP, but he’s my favourite of anything and everything. He’s probably so controversial because of how realistic he is. Prince’s Tale gotta one of the best chapters in the series. There is so much information left off in the movie Snape memories tho. But Alan Rickman’s portrayal is so heart wrenching! It’s a shame that most of the discourse around Snape just boils down to “didn’t get the girl so he bullied her son terrorised kids” and ignores all the layers of his character.
The story as a whole has so many incredibly sad moments & many moments that made me angry but it also has so many joyous moments too. When Dumbledore died at first I didn't believe it & I was furious when I realized the writer really killed him. Then person after person died & I was so angry & sad but that ending makes their sacrifices all worth it. Fantastic Harry Potter Reaction videos Magy & Laura. You should both be very proud of all 8 of these. These 8 videos will be fan favorites moving forward. 🥰💜
Your faces, reactions and epiphanies during the memory was friggan amazing and spot on to how I felt when I read the books (as I read the books before I saw the movies)!! You guys should totally read the series as well, there is SO MUCH left out of the books in these movies and it is sooo sooo good! It's so mind blowing the writing on this and all the tie in's and references to previous bits - and how genius Dumbledore was in engineering it all - when you guys said that all was going according to his plan, you meant Voldemort, but really it was all going to Dumbledore's plans. It goes into more detail in the books the why's and how's of Harry's survival but it is surely a masterpiece of strategy! Harry was saved so many times by a mother's love. His mother sacrificing herself saved Harry from the killing curse - Ron's mother Mrs. Weasely was such an influence in his life - and Narcissa Malfoy, noticing that he was in fact alive and asking him if Draco was alive and he nodded so she knew that the only way she would be allowed to go to Hogwarts was at the head of a conquering army and so she lied to Voldemort and told him that Harry was dead and then departing with husband and son because her family was more important to her than Lord Voldemort. You guys are too cute at the end with the '19 years later'! There's a fun music group, I don't know if they are still around or not but they do Harry Potter inspired songs. One of their songs is called 'The Bravest Man I Ever Knew' you guys should check it out, even if its not on camera ua-cam.com/video/JybrDuxRN78/v-deo.html FoxyLaura, it is indeed sad when you have to say good-bye to loved characters, now go read the books and dive a bit deeper into the Harry Potter universe!
It's a shame filmmakers didn't properly explain that Voldemort gave Harry protection from death the moment he took his blood for resurrection. Almost all thought that useless garbage called Resurrection stone had something with Harry resurrection (or rather not dying). 43:15 She married grandson of Newt Scamander, so... not a chance :) 44:37 I don't remember if it were in the movie, but Dumbldore explained to Harry, that being "Master of Death" simply means accept death without fear. So no eternal life for Master.
At 15:20 when Snape redirects the attack to the death eaters behind him.. so friggin smooth. It’s tough to catch. Nobody notices it the first time it’s so badass
Ralph Fiennes plays a good bad guy. He was also Amon Goetth in Schindler's List. If you haven't reacted to that movie, you should. I know it's a hard-to-watch tearjerking movie but it's also an important outstanding movie. You'll need a box of tissues beside you.
(copy and pasted from a website) In the first film, Snape asks Harry, ‘Tell me, what would I get if I added powdered root of asphodel to an infusion of wormwood?’ According to Victorian flower language, asphodel is a type of lily meaning “my regrets follow you to the grave” and wormwood means “absence” and also typically symbolises bitter sorrow. If you combined that, Snape’s words mean “I bitterly regret Lily’s death”. Knowing this after watching the Deathly Hallows makes it even more upsetting for Snape as he gave us this hint in the very first book/movie and we had no idea what it would mean.
There is a reason though, because that its a wand centered around death and murder, when Harry finally dies of old age, it will lose its power, and its trail of blood will finally end.
If it makes you feel better JK Rowling has said that one of the first things Hermione would've done afterwards is restore her parents' memories of her.
According to JK Rowling the author of Harry Potter, Harry and Ron decided to not finish school and instead became Aurors (dark wizard catchers like Mad Eye Moody) at the Ministry of Magic. After several years Ron retires from his job at the Ministry and went to work with George Weasley at the joke shop to help him out. Harry eventually became Head of Auror Office and Head of the Department of Magical Law Enforcement. Hermione did go back to Hogwarts after the Battle to finish school and graduated. At one point she went to look for her parents and returned their memories. Later after she graduated she started working at the Department for the Regulation and Control of Magical Creatures and the Department of Magical Law Enforcement at the Ministry of Magic and helped to create laws to protect and improve the lives of sentient magical creatures like house elves, goblins and centaurs to name a few. Much later Hermione eventually became Minister of Magic. Neville Longbottom became the new Herbology professor at Hogwarts and marries the Hufflepuff student Hannah Abbott who is the grandchild of the owner of The Leaky Cauldron. Luna became a Magizoologist and married Newt Scamander's (the fictional author of Fantastic Beasts and Where to Find) grandson, Rolf Scamander. Together they travel the world looking for rare magical beasts. Professor McGonagall became the new Hogwarts headmistress. Before Ginny married Harry she became a professional Quidditch player. After she retired she started writing sports articles for the Daily Prophet wizarding newspaper. Harry and Ginny had three kids together. If I recall the names right, the eldest son was named James Sirius. The second born is Albus Severus. And the youngest child is Lily Luna. Harry is the godfather to Remus and Tonks' son, Teddy Lupin and made sure he was well provided for. Ron and Hermione's children is Rose and Hugo. Draco's child is Scorpius Malfoy. Lucius Malfoy again got away scot free with his crimes as a Deatheater like he did after the first war when Harry was a baby where he convinced the Ministry that he was forced to do what he did. Draco got a job at the Ministry and remained on friendly and respectful terms with Harry after the Battle of Hogwarts. Umbridge was sent to Azkaban for her crimes. Hagrid remained a professor at Hogwarts but never married. George Weasley married Angelina Johnson who had been Fred Weasley's date for the Yule Ball in Goblet of Fire. Harry and Dudly remained on friendly terms and stayed in touch with each other to the point that they even would send each other Christmas cards every year. Harry, Ron and Hermione in time were each later featured on Chocolate Frog Cards. There are more stories like that that can be read in the Wizarding World website and also found in documentaries with JK Rowling where she goes into family tree details after the Battle of Hogwarts. 🏰🪄
So many emotions. Thank you ladies. Thank you so much for these reactions. I don't believe in the concept of perfection. I don't believe perfect exists, but your reactions are as near as matters. I think you're the first reactors I've seen who have, while watching this movie, actually appreciated and remarked that Harry possessed/owned all the Deathly Hallows at the time of confronting Voldemort, making him 'One Master Of Death'. With your thirst for more, I'm sure you'd love the books, plus you're young enough to be around for the tv series to come, which is intended to be more faithful to to everything in the books. By the way, you must have great mascara - no black streaks at all!
But the book stated that she would have either been lended or made another wand very rapidly, because Bellatrix would never allow herself to be wandless for long. She would have already updated her wand description with the bank, as they suspected someone might have attempted to break into her vault.
You guys saying Neville is a hero because of the bridge: Neville is a hero long before that. During the year the trio are out looking for Horcruxes, the rest of Dumbledore’s Army was still at the school. The new (Death Eater) professors started teaching the dark arts and punishing students viciously. Neville, Luna and Ginny stepped up to lead Dumbledore’s Army, openly defied the professors and protected those who couldn’t protect themselves. Neville was doing so much that he had to start living out of the Room of Requirement, else he would be tortured / killed. In Order of the Phoenix, we see that Bellatrix’s escape motivates Neville to try harder with magic (she tortured his parents to insanity, hardly recognizing their own son). This continues in HBP and he becomes quite talented at magic he works on and gains a lot of confidence. All of his character growth builds towards him becoming a freedom fighter and protector of the weak. He is able to pull the sword from the hat when he stands up to Voldemort and kills the snake. Neville started out rather shy and untalented, but he serves as a great example of what being brave in the face of danger can do for you. He’s my favorite character in the series.
My interpretation of the symbolism of Albus Severus Potter: The wizard who died for duty. The wizard who died for love. The wizard who died for loyalty. And live again.
Snape Character arc was perfect and heart breaking, he was trater for all even all teachers.,When McGonagall came against Snape a Clear sadness and disappointment were seen in snape's face.
It still blows my mind that I was 11 years old at the time of the first film, and I had just turned 21 when the final film was released... This series WAS my childhood. I legitimately GREW UP with this series!
Fun fact harry and dracos sons became best friends since they were both put in slytherin.. harrys son despised his father cause of the achievements he had in the school and all he had to live up to so they had a third friend (a girl) and all three started using time travel to change things about the past but the girl was tricking them and trying to bring back voldemort its a good book this is just the description of harry potter and the cursed child
Seeing all the characters you grew up watching since the very 1st Harry Potter movie get killed just breaks me every time I watch this movie. Then seeing Snapes memories right after that just destroys me
I can already surmise from the thumbnail that the wait was worth it. I love how intuitive you both are. The events of the Harry Potter series coincided with the lives of an entire generation. I hope the two of you recognize how powerful sharing these reactions with us can be. Words honestly just don't do proper justice to describe how grateful and appreciative I am. ❤❤❤
Something about the end that took me a while to absorb: When Voldemort tried to kill Harry, the reason it killed the horcrux but not Harry was because the elder wand was loyal to Harry. A wand never seriously harms who it belongs to. Dumbledore had no way to know that these events would happen, so he didn't know that Voldemort could kill the horcrux with Harry surviving. Very well written plot twist.
Your tears made me cry all over again! It's such a powerful feeling, the connection to these characters and this world. I'm so glad you found the beauty in it all.
There's a lot of Harry Potter related short documentaries on UA-cam to react to, like who was recast, and why, or what happened to X, Y and Z after the Battle Of Hogwarts etc. Now you know the entire story, it's well worth exploring them for additional lore. The boy playing Crabbe or Goyle (I always get them mixed up) lasted until the final two movies. He got mixed up in the Tottenham riots, got arrested, charged etc and was dropped from Harry Potter. Some characters had very little roles to start with, like the Director's daughter was standing next to Hermione during the Sorting in the first movie. When that character returned later on, with important lines to deliver, she was recast with an actual actor. Other things just give you additional insight when you look back at the movies, like Ginny Weasley in the Gryffindor Quidditch team in the sixth movie. In the books, it explains that she often plays and trains with her brothers, but that's not explained in the movies. She goes onto become a Professional Quidditch player, then, as many pro sportspeople do, transitioned into reporting on Quidditch for the Daily Prophet. Can I also suggest you react to the Fantastic Beasts trilogy? It is a bit different, when you transport the location to America, when it's a VERY British franchise. You do get used to it, and it is VERY good, once your mind accepts it's the MAGIC WORLD, but nothing at all to do with Harry Potter. It's set DECADES before Harry was born. JK Rowling (whatever you think of her) is an INCREDIBLE world builder.
Also I noticed that the REAL Bellatrix has more make-up around her eyes too. Hermione/Bellatrix looks kind of "cute" while real Bellatrix looks haunting and psychotic. that's just a testament to Helena Bohnam Carter's acting ability, more than anything else.
I love that Alan Rickman wanted to quit playing Snape after the second movie until J. K. Rowling took him aside & told him Snapes secret & he kept that secret until it was revealed in the last book
Magy, Griphook the goblin was played by Warwick Davis. He also played Professor Flitwick and the Gringott’s bank teller in the first film. You also saw him as the lead character in Willow, and his first role was the little bearlike Ewok that finds Princess Leia in the forest in Return Of The Jedi.
One of the sub plots cut out from the movie was how goblins view items they made. From their point of view, goblin jewelry or a goblin blade belonged to goblins. Humans who possessed them were at best renters, at worst thieves. That's why he wanted the Sword of Gryffindor; to him humans were thieves, and our friends reinforced that belief by lying about giving him the sword. Voldemort misunderstood the wand lore. It's not who killed the last owner, but who defeated him. That's why killing Snape didn't help. One bit from the book I wish that they left in was at the end, Harry used the Elder Wand to mend his old wand.
In the book, Narcissa Malfoy *_(Maiden name, Black; She's Sirius' cousin)_* knew Harry was alive, & whispered to Harry asking if Draco was alive. After her husband being in Azkaban, & Voldemort planning to kill Draco & send Lucius the body as punishment for Lucius failing to retrieve the prophecy... Narcissa doesn't want this Death Eater nonsense anymore.
Glad to see you made it through okay watching this. I was a little worried after watching your previous reactions, and just thinking "If they can stay strong for 15 minutes or so, they'll get the payoff at the end of the movie." Rowling wanted the story to be realistic for kids to read and not sugarcoat it by having everyone good stay alive. Great reactions to all the movies, you two are very good people.
15:17 Noticed how Snape deflected McGonagles blast so that it took out the two deatheaters standing behind him? Snape is the fakking MVP of Harry Potter. Both the most tragic and heroic character in the entire story. Played to god damn perfection by Alan Rickman. May he rest in peace 🙏
Fun fact about the Books: •At the end, Harry doesn’t broke the Elder Wand. He use it to repair his own, and then put the Elder one Back in Dumbledore’s grave. •When voldemort dies, because his killing spell recocheted against himself (because the Elder wand betrayed him) he fell down like anyone else, and they emphisize it on the book, so everyone can see him as a mortal and simple man like everybody else.
the very first movie released in theatres here in america when I was 6 years old. And this part, released when I was 17. I saw every single one on release night, and when I tell you, there was not a dry eye in the theatre when the movie closed as the trio watched their kids go off to hogwarts. I would give ANYTHING to watch these movies for the first time again, but... watching the both of you experience the feelings i had for the first time is pretty close. Thank you for that, and welcome to the worlf of magic.
I think Snapes sacrifice was one of the greatest ever told in stories. there is plenty examples where people would give their life to safe their family, friend or the greater good. but sacrificing your "life" in a way that everyone who you cared for hates you for exactly that and sees you as a villain is so much more painful. i cant really come up with anything similar
I'm glad you liked this. As a follow up, I think you would like a fan made film called Severus Snape and the Marauders by Broad Strokes. It shows a more vulnerable side of Severus and what he likely had to go through with James and his gang at school.
What a fantastic final reaction! I hope Magy and Laura can watch a re-release in theaters someday! My favorite part in hindsight is that Snape definitely knew who owned the elder wand, so he also died protecting Draco!
Incredible journey ladies, tears and squeals in just the right places, you are sad the journey has ended, but one thing you need to realise is that there is no limit to the amount of times you can watch it again and again. A true Potter fan can watch easily over a hundred times and never get bored. The more often you watch, the more little details you find that you missed the previous 20 times you watched. I'm so glad we were able to join you on this journey, Love you both !
Fun fact: the actor who plays Harry's son is the same baby from the opening scene of "The Philosopher's Stone" when Hagrid arrives on a motorbike to the Dursleys' house.
When Alan Rickman was thinking about leaving the series, J.K. Rowling told him the meaning behind the word "Always". From then on, Alan kept the secret, and he refused to do anything that a director told him to do if it violated Snape's arc. He just told them, "I know how this ends and you don't." Before he died, he commented that he often thought about sitting in a rocking chair, in his eighties, reading Harry Potter with his family asking him, "After all this time?" and his reply would be, "Always."
Severus Snape in the movies is much more likeble than in the books. One example is, Snape himself told Voldemort about the prophecy, which made Voldemort go after Harry Potter and when Snape new that, he asked Voldemort to spare Lily, just like he asked Dumbledore to hide ONLY LILY, not them all, he just asked to hide them all, after Dumbledore call him a disgusting person.
I don't know if this qualifies as a FUN FCT but, I remember reading that the actors who played Crabbe and Goyle both had legal trouble during this series and that's why in the third movie Goyle wasn't there; and why Crabbe was also not in THIS movie. and Part 1. I remember reading that he was actually in jail during the filming of Part 1 and that's why they have Blaize Zabini (the black Slytherin) instead of Crabbe. In the book it's actually Crabbe, not Goyle, that starts the fire in the room of requirement.
I also don’t want it to end so I listen to a podcast #harrypotterandthesacredtext Watch people like you watch the movies for the first time and listen to the audio books every now and again when at work. I have truly loved your reactions ❤
Snape’s memories is probably my favorite thing about this whole story. Snape is hands down the best written character in HP
He actually is
A true tragic hero
Definitely 💯💯
And played equally well by the late, great Alan Rickman (R.I.P.)
He did have a (fair) advantage compared to the other actors, JK Rowling confided in him where his character would end up from the start
This also caused him to occasionally disagree/argue with directors while filming.
You should read the books. It's not like James was a bully and Snape a victim... They both were idiots. The point is James changed as he became an adult and Snape kept on bullying children. Imagine a 13 years old boy having you as his greatest fear. That's the real Snape
@aldiyar618 I don't understand what you're asking me, do you speak English?
Send messages to girls to look at Harry Potter's 20th anniversary.
@aldiyar618Not necessarily, he argued with directors because he knew more than they did. They weren't aggressive arguments, just strong disagreements.
5:10 Helena Bonham Carter playing Hermione Granger playing Bellatrix Lestrange.
Shes perfect
Idk if you know this but Helena want Emma to play it as Hermione. She wanted to see how "real" Hermione would go with this. 😉
"She's a girl, playing a girl, disguised as another girl!"
Send messages to girls to look at Harry Potter’s 20th anniversary.
Snape’s memories always get me. My favorite scene in this movie
but the only thing is he wasnt a good man but did what he should do in the end.
A vast majority of people who’ve read the books still hate shape. Even after that scene. Hes a pos
I do not consider anything outside of the 7 books as Canon, coz JK has said hell lot of senseless things like Harry-Hermoine ship, etc. in her tweets/interviews and how good she is w/ tweets we all know that, don't we?😅
Rip Severus Snape

That end with Laura realize she's not going to use the wand anymore was so cute.
I say let her use it for every video! lol
Adorable!!
@@WaddIes Harry never destroyed the wand in the books. This movie version is ludicrous. He left the stone in the forest, left the wand in Dumbledore's coffin and kept the cloak. To this day, he is still the Master of the Eldar Wand.
Laura’s reaction at the end was so beautiful and honest I was deeply moved to tears
Since they started Harry Potter , I’ve been waiting for that snape scene.
Yes, as for me it was shock. How unbelievable, thats plot ..
I think we all wait for that part when watching people react to these movies

Good catch!👍
Oh, man.... seeing Fred lying on the floor in the Great Hall dead is heartbreaking, especially seeing Ron break down in tears.
6 points I've made in the past regarding Harry Potter:
(According to The Wizarding World website)
A great ending would have been if Harry’s scar started to hurt as train pulled away.
Snape did not want to fight mcgonagall. He deflected the spell towards the deatheaters. So, in a way he helped 😊
Yeah he did.
In a real battle I think Snape is most powerful wizard after Dumbledore
And Snape isn't relectuant to use dark magic
Laura's reaction at the end was like Magy when she finished The Lord Of The Rings ❤
I thought that too.
i was looking to see if anyone else thought that too
"they are going to fall in love, the kids." they are cousins lol. Oh and draco's kid and harry potter's son albus potter do not became rivals, they are best friends
They're never even think of filming Cursed Child, so it's just a fanfic. Does not count.
That was one adorable intro ❤
Griphook, being so knowledgeable when it comes to the Sword of Gryffindor, sure sounds weird asking for it as payment for sneaking Harry into Gringotts.
Thank you for the beautiful reaction and for sharing this incredible journey with all of us ❤
If you feel like staying into the Harry Potter universe for just a bit longer, "Fantastic Beasts" trilogy is somethin to check out.
It was Ron telling the kids that if they were not sorted into Gryffindor they will be disinherited, and then adds “but no pressure.” And Hermione is like “Ron!”
LOL😂😂
And Snape’s death really hit me hard, especially the truth about his love for Lily.
Fun fact when they’re in the room of requirements & Goyle catches the place on fire, the flames take the forms of the four houses animals, Lion, Eagle, Badger, & Snake.
I was not aware of this! Yikes!
Always !
And they will do... never better ;)
(though I hope they will, but imo no movie/series equals HP even now)
I’ve been watching Harry Potter since childhood still so amazing Snape is the GOAT From The Beginning to End
I don't know about "from the beginning." I'm not really pro adults bullying 11 year old children.
his hatred for james could have not been the only reason he bullied harry so much, he bullied multiple children who had nothing to do with james, that was just a dumb excuse for his behavior.
You see… Lily Evens (Potter)’s Patronus was a Doe…
Ps.
Major plot point that isn't talked about in the movies and so it confuses people:
The reason why Harry was able to survive was because Voldemort took his blood, effectively taking Lily's protection into himself, binding Harry to life as long as Voldemort remained alive. With that and the Elder Wand belonging to Harry, he was double protected from Voldemort killing him.
Snape's memories rip me apart every time I see them. Ugh, it's such a beautiful tragedy.
It's:
Dobby dies
They bury him
I turn the movie off
I shower - Crying the whole time
I put in Part 2; "You'll pay for everyone you hurt, Tom."
I can't believe how much Laura lost it at the end 😂😂. You two are so cute together!
They are the dynamic duo of movie reaction videos.
it was adorable - if you haven't seen it, you should watch Magy's first viewing of Return of the King, at the end she was utterly inconsolable... she must have cried for 15 minutes. It was the most genuine reaction I've ever seen and it sold me as a fan for good.
YES! What a final!
Please also react to the *20th Anniversary Special!* You will love it!!
I was going to suggest this but I figured someone already did. That special made me ugly cry and I am a dude. It really made the final movie a conclusion to the story instead of me wanting more.
I second this!
YESSSSS
yes
Foxy was so cute at the end with her red nose and crying 😂😂
-In the Philospher's Stone: He casts an anti spell to help Harry survive on his broom when Voldemort tried to kill him in the Quiditch match
-In The Chamber of Secrets: Snape was the first one to show Harry the Expelliarmus spell (The Disarming charm), Harry would use this throughout every single movie after. He also disarms the snake that Malfoy tries to sick on Harry in the movie
-In the prisoner of Azkaban: Snape REALLY wants the kids to read up on werewolves and lycans even though it's not what they were studying at all at the time.
Snape also doesn't help Umbridge at all throughout the movie even when asked to
-In the Half Blood Prince: Snape stops Harry from going up to the upper parts of the bell tower where he would have been easily apprehended.
He did all this with a Hate for Harry and Love towards Lily. But at the end, he kinda became goated, can't disagree w/ this
@@vedjoshi260 Right.
Magy: We're doing it for the greater good.
Me: So up next Fantastic Beasts.
Me: And we find out that Johnny Depp hates Paris. I can't blame him for that.
The greater good
Many people seem to misunderstand that line from Dumbledore: "Don't tell me now you've grown to care for the boy?"
This is in no way said to make it look like Dumbledore doesn't care about Harry, as if he IS a pig for slaughter like Snape said.
It is instead exactly and only what Dumbledore means: He's questioning Snape's care for Harry.
And i wouldn't say Snape really cares for Harry like that, but he's a reminder of Lily and he'll care for that.
You guys sniffling and crying at the end is so cute!
😂
Great series.
😊
How powerful Narcissa has to be that she is able to block Voldemort from invading her head and read that she is lying about Harry being dead. Her decision to abandon Voldemort is smart, because:
This series were just depressing 😢😂lol 😭😭
Sirius Black: “We’re here ❤you see” I’m crying again
Actually, in the books too, they don’t say it in the movies but Harry he named his other son James Sirius Potter 😢🥹
47:41 "my eyes were probably blurred for half of the movie" made me lol
Yes, Severus has ALWAYS protected Harry. Even at the end of the sixth book, after killing Dumbledore, he hints at HOW Harry can defeat him: close his mouth and mind. Of course Potter didn't get the hint.
Thank you so much for your feedback, it was amazing.
I would like to give Laura a hug, I mean, I know Magy also cried a lot during the movie, but Laura suffered much more, even at the end of the video, how cute she is. ❤
One clarification: Snape did NOT love Harry. He only loved his mother, and he did not care if Harry and James died as long as Lily was saved.
Yep. What a goat.
Movie Snape and Book Snape are two different characters.
Harry's son actually does get sorted in Slytherin, and he becomes friends with Draco's kid
Cursed Child doesn't count! "At the solstice will come anew, and none shall come after"
@@Alysa-AidayCursed child is canon,, Rowling said it herself, so it counts.
One of their songs is called 'The Bravest Man I Ever Knew' you guys should check it out, even if its not on camera ua-cam.com/video/JybrDuxRN78/v-deo.html
FoxyLaura, it is indeed sad when you have to say good-bye to loved characters, now go read the books and dive a bit deeper into the Harry Potter universe!
Boy born at the end of July - Neville was the one that actually kills Voldemort - love the plot
The way Snape kill the 2 hungerdeath before living Hogward ❤
Love the way Laura got so upset she won't be able to wave her wand anymore she is adorable. ❤
It's a shame filmmakers didn't properly explain that Voldemort gave Harry protection from death the moment he took his blood for resurrection. Almost all thought that useless garbage called Resurrection stone had something with Harry resurrection (or rather not dying).
43:15 She married grandson of Newt Scamander, so... not a chance :)
44:37 I don't remember if it were in the movie, but Dumbldore explained to Harry, that being "Master of Death" simply means accept death without fear.
(copy and pasted from a website)
In the first film, Snape asks Harry, ‘Tell me, what would I get if I added powdered root of asphodel to an infusion of wormwood?’
According to Victorian flower language, asphodel is a type of lily meaning “my regrets follow you to the grave” and wormwood means “absence” and also typically symbolises bitter sorrow. If you combined that, Snape’s words mean “I bitterly regret Lily’s death”. Knowing this after watching the Deathly Hallows makes it even more upsetting for Snape as he gave us this hint in the very first book/movie and we had no idea what it would mean.
16:20
Laura: i'm going
Magy: not you, you can stay
xddddddddd i love you both
love these reactions
In the books Harry uses the elder wand to mend his own wand before getting rid of it. A small detail but I wish it was in the movie!
There is a reason though, because that its a wand centered around death and murder, when Harry finally dies of old age, it will lose its power, and its trail of blood will finally end.
If it makes you feel better JK Rowling has said that one of the first things Hermione would've done afterwards is restore her parents' memories of her.
Is it possible to reverse an Obliviate spell?
@@abc.animal5143yes, through great medical magic though, but it is possible, there are people at St Mungo specialized in memory recovery 👍

It's a trick. They know the real Bellatrix wouldn't have her wand. So the correct answer is, "You know I don't have my wand. It was stolen."
My interpretation of the symbolism of Albus Severus Potter:
The wizard who died for duty.
That's crazy because I too was 11 for most of 2001 and 21 for most of 2011. I'm 34 now.
same here, i was 12 when i saw the first film and must've been 22 or 23 when the last film came out
Fun Fact for you, Magic:
The actor who played Griphooks is the same actor who played Professor Flitwick, Warwick Davis
How does Harry's son despise his father?
Seeing all the characters you grew up watching since the very 1st Harry Potter movie get killed just breaks me every time I watch this movie. Then seeing Snapes memories right after that just destroys me
Damn, Laura was really feeling the emotions of a bittersweet ending to something you love ending. Bless her.
❤ You girls reactions because they're so real. After so many years and HP movies, we were emotional and cried too!

Noticed how Snape deflected McGonagles blast so that it took out the two deatheaters standing behind him?
Snape is the fakking MVP of Harry Potter.
Both the most tragic and heroic character in the entire story.
Played to god damn perfection by Alan Rickman.
May he rest in peace 🙏
Fun fact about the Books:
•At the end, Harry doesn’t broke the Elder Wand.
Harry was the master of death (Deadly heallows) this is why he couldn't die... He had the most powerful wand, cloack and stone🙂
Rest In Peace to:Alan Rickman(Snape), Michael Cambon(Albus Doubledoor),Robbie Coltrane(Hagrid).
the very first movie released in theatres here in america when I was 6 years old.
Albums Sverus Potter was sorted into Slytherin and becomes best friends with Scorpio’s Malfoy.
What a fantastic final reaction! I hope Magy and Laura can watch a re-release in theaters someday!
My favorite part in hindsight is that Snape definitely knew who owned the elder wand, so he also died protecting Draco!
I think this is my favourite reaction of all time, not just HP, but in general. Absolutely beautiful to see you so invested in the story
Your reaction to the end was fricking adorable. Thank you for the feels!
Fun fact: the actor who plays Harry's son is the same baby from the opening scene of "The Philosopher's Stone" when Hagrid arrives on a motorbike to the Dursleys' house.
awww that's so special
Foxy's face when Ron and Hermoine kissed 😂too funny
I don't know if this qualifies as a FUN FCT but, I remember reading that the actors who played Crabbe and Goyle both had legal trouble during this series and that's why in the third movie Goyle wasn't there; and why Crabbe was also not in THIS movie. and Part 1. I remember reading that he was actually in jail during the filming of Part 1 and that's why they have Blaize Zabini (the black Slytherin) instead of Crabbe. In the book it's actually Crabbe, not Goyle, that starts the fire in the room of requirement.
I also don’t want it to end so I listen to a podcast #harrypotterandthesacredtext
Watch people like you watch the movies for the first time and listen to the audio books every now and again when at work.
I have truly loved your reactions ❤
