Rather nice description of Finland…. I am French and I have been living in Finland for 47 years. Helsinki is obviously the most beautiful capital in Europe with 330 islands, nature everywhere, parks and forests everywhere. It’s clean, everything works fine and you can feel safe. I like the Finnish mentality, it’s the same as mine. And I love coffee, so….
Want to know what life is like in #Finland? I'm a English guy who decided to leave the UK due to the #authoritarian nonsense back in November 2020. In comparison, Finland is relatively free. I also do a tour of the beer section of a Finnish supermarket #covid #covid19 #coronavirus ua-cam.com/video/THpLgN2VO7g/v-deo.html
Hey. Thanks for the video. A little correction to the official language fact. There's 2 official languages in Finland. Finnish and Swedish. This due to the 700 years of common history, when Swedish was the only official language. And also for the Swedish speaking minority (about 6. %). In many municipalities Swedish is the majority language. Even in a limited area on the West coast and in the South
Oh , those forests in Finland !! Forests have a healing quality including spiritual healing , I know from my personal experience And the Finnish language is quite musical even though hard to learn And all those lakes there And there is a hotel in the North of Finland where all rooms have a transparent roof ,so everyone can see the northern lights from the warmth and comfort of a hotel room !!!
Yeah the amount of forest in Finland is amazing and it keeps the air fresh! Yes agreed the language is hard to learn. I did a video on glass igloos where you see the northern lights from inside.
Let's not underestimate Helsinki. I visited many capitals in different countries and there is no need to be ashamed of Helsinki. Clean and tidy City close to The nature
I know Canadians who go at least yearly to Minnesota for medical care, and here in Florida we see many Canadians who have come down for medical care. In fact 1000's of Canadians travel to the States for medical care each year.......Friends in Finland pay high taxes for "free" medical care and then go to private clinics for their care
Yes , that is only your opinion. I live in southern Spain and the weather here in winter time is very windy or best to say very stormy. The roof tiles are flying in the air and the problem is to find s shelter for flying objects . Not UFO ? In California the mari...smokers see lot of more UFO:s than we in Finland Recently among those Anglo-Saxon tourists visiting Lapland they have seen more UFO:s in the air
I do not think Sami ppl are main minority. There are about 10 000 same ppl in Finland. Forinstance there are gypsies 10 000-12 000 in Finland. There are Sami ppl more in Norway and Sweden. Finland has the smallest number of them. Everyone can google about it.
It's not Sona it's . Saw- na. Like chainsaw + na. Only learned it when I arrived here almost 2 years ago. The stress is always on the second syllable.😃 Love from a Filipino Fan.
The heat does not give you happiness. By the way Finland does not have winter all the time. There are four seasons. Spring, summer, autumn and winter. They all are nice. It is not a matter of the weather. It is a matter of clothing.
"Happy" is judged by such things as whether or not health care is run by the Government. If so, then the country gets more points toward their score. That, of course has nothing to do with happiness
Exactly, these "happiness" surveys are just propaganda nonsense put together by left leaning bodies to push socialism. I've been to Finland a couple of times and it is so expensive that as a tourist you are left wondering how you will be able to eat. Nowhere else have I been in a situation where my wife and I had to share a single glass of wine. The old Soviet Union used to provide fun for the rest of the world by constantly announcing that it's citizens were the happiest and richest on earth, and it's the same concept with these "happiness surveys" .
¾ of finns speak english FLUENTLY. ⅓ speak at expert level and like less than 1% can't communicate in english at all. maybe 1-3% might refuse but still have the ability.
That is not true. Finns are very very picky. By The way finns did not do these statistics. World economic Forum conference in Switzerland Davos ranked Finland the best country 2019 and World happines index report and UN ranked Finland the happiest country 2018, 2019, 2020 and 2021, 2022. Do you think Finland is underdeveloped, and poor country, ppl have nothing and they are not expecting better. How wrong you are. Finland is a wealthy Nordic and western country with high standard of living.
I have always wanted to visit Finland and it has been a country of interest to me. Through this video I got to know about Finland's various cultures I didn't know that Finland was famous for coffe , so I found it amazing to learn I want to experience a sauna and eat chocolate in Finland If I get a chance sometime to travel in Finland 10420 전하리

Thank you for the video. Kiitos! One thing should be corrected: visiting Helsinki is not visiting Finland. You should travel inlands.
Thanks Antti. I agree people should go beyond just Helsinki. You are right the rest of the country is very different and beautiful!

The voice over person is wrong. Only about 600,000 people live in Helsinki, which is about 10%.. NOT HALF of the country’s’ population as she suggests.

Nobody in this world can be happy with that weather. Maybe they have more peace of mind, but not happiness
