Fantastic video matey, it was a pleasure having you along, sorry for taking you up the rear, I promise you a date night first next time 😜🤣😘
🤣👍
Brilliant stuff Bruce!
Did you guys submit the run to the Iron Butt masters ?
Fancy do’n this E to E sometime
Well done guys
@norriemasson4080 - no mate, I just plotted the route via Calimoto on fast route option👍
Got the Diagnosis stage 3 back in Nov 98, 25 years ago. Still here still riding, sell by date well passed. Thanks to cancer researchers. Unfortunately I’ve known others less fortunate but treatments keep improving all the time. All in a good cause.
Keep fighting John 👏👍
Fair play to you lad. All the best.👍👍👍
best wishes John
As a Cancer sufferer I thank you all
Well done the 3 of you. Good effort for such a worthy cause.
Brought back some cracking memories did that Bruce.
How’s it going Ray! Great to see you back in here mate, it’s like the old days again 👏👍
Nice one Bruce, i`v got cancer [terminal, given months to live] but nice to know others might benefit.
I’m very sorry to hear this David
Wow! What a ride, well done gents , what a great cause 👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻
Thanks Curno 👍
You know you're an experienced rider when it's possible to fall asleep while riding. I'm still at the stage in my biking career when I constantly wired the whole time I'm on the bike.
Nice Teapot, brightened my rainy Friday morning. As to pheasants in the 1960’s we were in my own uncles car when he hit two pheasants. He thought they were dead so threw them on the back seat. Turned out they weren’t dead just stunned and five minutes later there was a Ford Anglia full of flying pheasant’s.
Amazing job done teapot, my wife has peritoneal cancer , and my heart and thanks go out to you and your friends , thank you so much ❤❤❤❤❤❤
I’m very sorry to hear that Daz, there are no words that will ease what you’re all going through.
I’m glad you got some enjoyment out this vid bud👍
@@teapotone thank you 👍
Well done Bruce. Donation made. A charity very close to my heart, having lost a very good friend and a sister to cancer.
I’m sorry to hear that David, thank you very much for your donation 👍🙏
Enjoyed that Brucey - I'm sure others have told you that was Kemble airfield of which cafe I'm a frequent visitor - great to see one of the best GS' ever made out on the road.....(the red one). Enjoying your ride videos whilst I'm laid up with a Vegas shoulder, almost as good as getting out there and riding myself....!
Must agree on the Red GS 😁
Cheers Andy, aye I’ve actually been to the cafe there too, just didn’t recognise the place when we rode by it🤦♂️🤣
Hope your shoulder heals well and in good time bud 👍
@criticalcuda 🤣👍
The plane graveyard is KEMBLE / COTSWOLDS AIRPORT
loads of planes including a 747 right by the cafe
Excellent cafe too 😊
That plane grave yard is part of the National plane museum I do believe I’m from Gloucestershire right next to Cirencester
Well done guys great charity challenge
Cheers Darrell👍
Very worthy cause, sterling effort from you three gentlemen, liked and thanks as always...
well done bruce and mates
Thanks Allan 👍
It's Cotswold Airport mate, a preservation site for G-CIVB, Negus livery B747. She's now an events location but you can book tours etc.
Top job guys! Amazing cause.
Just donated Bruce..great cause currently close to my heart due to a sibling. Thoroughly enjoyed the vid and commentary…stunning scenery that is inspiring me to get up there in 24…atb, Alan.
Thank you very much Alan, I’m sorry to hear you and your family are going through it, I wish you all the best.
Cheers for the donation, that’s very kind of you, and glad you enjoyed the vid 👍
Any more re-build vids coming? Have you seen the benefits of the ceramic coating yet?
@alanbarnes2920 aye there’s day 3 of the rebuild still to come, will probably be coming in the new year by the time I get round to editing it.
Ceramic coating - yep, you need to keep on top of it and not let the dirt just sit there for weeks, so I just give the bike a quick once over with the hose and it comes up lovely 👍
The road through the Cairngorms I think is one of the best routes in the uk. Not only the road but the scenery. Mind the blind summits and some of the positioning Bruce put it down to being tired 😂
12:36 The Meikleour Beech Hedge, Tallest and longest hedge on earth!! More interesting fact than Scotland being the 'birthplace of benefit fraud?!'
Great video.
🤣👍
Great job, lads. Brilliant watch!
Important cause and great ride. Thanks for sharing👍
If you were near Cirencester then that’s the Cotswold airport, where all the planes were on your video. Nice cafe in there too.
Another Great vid mate.
Thanks Craig 👍
Awesome lads. Will be donating
Well done you three.....👏👏👏🥃🏴
Thanks Steve 👍
Another great video, and for a great cause! Stay safe.
Thanks Rick 👍
What a great ride..thanks for sharing!
My pleasure 👍
Absolute awesome cause. Well done guys
You my friend are a true inspiration
That’s very kind Graham, thanks very much bud 🙏👍
That was awesome Bruce, I understand why you love riding to Scotland. The views and the landscape are amazing as I've already said on your the last Scotland trip. But doing that in such a short time is insane.
Thanks bud, aye I firmly believe Scotland has the best riding available in the Uk👍
@@teapotonenothing wrong with motorhomes! Mine's been remapped 😂😂😂
Thank you Bruce, that one was great!
Cheers, glad you enjoyed it 👍
That was Cotswold airport. As well as general aviation activities, it's also a knackes yard where olds planes are scrapped. Those jets are waiting to be shredded. Nice video as ever.
Thanks bud, cheers for the info 👍
@@teapotone it's also the location for Wheelie School
A cracking ride boys well done 👏
Cheers 👍
Stage 4 cancer here. Good for you and your crew for the ride and the cause. For those with cancer or their families look up RSO/FECO treatment in addition to traditional medicine.
Well done lads, great challenge, great cause and damn good to watch.
Thanks Bean’s 👍
Nice one Bruce, top quality as ever, the ombudsman would be proud 👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻
🤣👍
12.40 when you talk about the ear plugs thats the UK's longest hedge. And tallest of its kind, its in the guniess world records. The Meikleour Beech Hedge
Good to see Kemble Airfield get a look. I used to fly out of there.
Cracking video I’m looking forward to the Scotland 🏴 trip next year.
great job guys!
Cheers 👍
all donated its such a good course and it effects so many and when i get my Mod 2 Passed hopefully soon would love to do something like this but on a slower pace as not that experienced yet well done guys
Cheers Brett, all the best with your mod 2 bud 👍
Fantastic gents 👏 👌 another fun and fantastic video, I do love watching your trips
Thank you👍
Good effort guys.
A few years back a group of us did Edinburgh to London to Cardiff to Dublin to Belfast in a day. We used motorways and it took 22 and a half hours.
Not sure I fancy doing that or similar again but I enjoyed watching
Hats off boys
Thanks bud 👍
Cant wait to do some trips with you guys!
Maximum big-ups mate.
Also: f*&k cancer.
Amen to that bud, cheers 👍
Quite literally epic! Well done :)
Thanks very much! 👍
Well this was defo worth the wait Bruce. Massive congratulations to the 3 of you. That’s some achievement. Hats off to you all.
Thanks very much bud, much appreciated 👍🙏
Thankyou , it was great fun 👍
That’s some ride Bruce, great vid..
Thanks bud 👍
Well done guys, top job 👋👍
Nice work chaps and of course such a worthy cause. This will go on my bucket list. I’m sure that’s the Brian I rode with on your EastCoast500 tour this year.
Cheers Jamie, I don’t think Brian was on the East500 bud?
Airfield was Kemble! :) (where planes in the UK go to die...). My 4 year old PTB still gets about 14 hours out of a charge (when on a trip, with phone, music and group comms). Used to get perhaps 16 hours... a mate's 8 year old pre-Bold PT still gets approx 10-12 hours. Not bad!! (we just do a precautionary lunchtime charge on a long day just in case anyway - but a usual 8 hour day we don't bother...)
Hi Bruce , thanks for yet another brilliant video. Would also like to wish you and Mrs teapot and family , happy Christmas , hope you have brilliant new year 😊🎉
Thanks very much Julia, that’s very kind of you.
Glad you enjoyed the vid, and Merry Christmas to you and your family too.
Here’s to a fantastic 2024 👍
Well done gents that’s a fair shift for you shouthern softies 😁 Got love the camel humps on the Glenshee road I remember coming over the Lecht on the 990 felt like it was tipped into the wind at 45 degrees was probably only about 80 though🤔 health to ride
I did a similar route a few years ago, 18hrs, Deffo hard core. Respect!
Thanks Graham 👍
Well Done guys, fantastic job, you made it look easy, anyone who thinks it is, give it a go ! Proper job ! 👏👏👍
Thanks Andy, glad you enjoyed it.
Aye it’s a good challenge to do eh 👍
Its a blink and you'll miss it whistle stop tour haha
Well done Bruce and the lads
Great video and all for a good cause too. You even rode past my home town of Grangemouth, made a donation.
Thanks very much 2Bob🙏👍
Great cause ❤
Awesome video. The Cairngorms are my favourite roads and i ride them as much as i can.
Thanks Ian, it’s a beautiful part of the country isn’t it👍
Excellent video as always!! I love the fact that fame hasn't got to you yet Bruce. "Buy a house here, because you can get a great soup and a roll in there".
Ha Ha, can’t polish a turd 😉🤣👍
Terrible bad luck damaged rads 😢,
Costly ride ,
Always enjoy your videos
Love the conversation and the banta 😊,
Great course your riding for 👍,
Thanks Martin, much appreciated bud and glad you’re still enjoying the vids 👍
Superb 👍 🏍👌
Thanks bud
well done you gents!!! Spent a week in Wick hospital last summer suffering from an over aggressive right hand! love watching these long trips. Bruce at your best fella.
Ha ha cheers Gareth, I hope your right hand ‘injury’ has healed well?! 👍
Great vid Bruce. That was the Cotswold Airport you rode past with all the 747's parked up. Really interesting place to visit if you're into that sort of thing.
Thanks bud 👍
Got a decent cafe there as well. Used for storage and disassembly
I was going to tell you where the airplanes were but been beaten to it 😃If you’re passing through Kemble again (past the aircraft) and want a cafe stop where you get a good view of a lot of planes parked up check out the AV8 cafe/restaurant. It’s not quite as bike friendly as it once was but still a decent stop with nice food.
Cheers Nikki, I’d actually been to the AV8 cafe before, I started my ‘RAPID’ training day there! 👍
Well done! Almost makes me want to get the pan fixed. Almost....😅😅
That was Kemble airfield, cracking cafe there and a biker hang out.
Enjoyed that Bruce great rides there for sure. Be a bucket list ride for me one day,🤔just watched Richie on a ride have to say was pretty nice there too😉🤓😎🤔💨💨💨💨💨💨💨👍🏻🇨🇦🍻 from beautiful British Columbia.
I'm guessing this was about May June? You did well with the weather.
Mega road that up through the Cairngorm countryside up to Braemar past Glenshee ski centre. Normally do it heading sarf. Normally go north via Glencoe.
Me and my mate did Ullapool to Penrith without hitting a motorway or dual carriage way back in 2016. We did have a detour over Talla and Megget reservoirs on the way back.
Enjoyed the vid Bruce. Nice one 👍
Aye it was June’22 when we did this bud 👍
@@teapotone you can tell the time of year by the Gorse bushes 😉
Great video. Got gods country envy again now 😂 Well done 👏👏
The planes ✈️ were at Cotswolds airport Bruce! And bloody pheasant 😮
Well Done , Gentleman 👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻
Thanks Pete 👍
Thanks Pete 👍🍷
It’s Kemble airfield. Ex home of the red arrows many years ago
Brilliant Vid. That airport is Gloucester airport, and is an aircraft breaker yard. Does everything up to 747s, even had its on TV program on Quest
You’ve gone all soft liv’n down Sarf Bro, 12degrees is a Summers day up there (I’ll put it down to you being tired 😉)
Great Video and cause I’ll donate shortly.
Stay Safe and you and Nicki (excuse spelling if I’ve got it wrong)have a Great Christmas and Best wishes for 2024
Donation made
Thanks Norrie, you too bud 👍👏
I live in Kelso and yeah, that Hawick roads a belter 👌🏍️😆
Kemble buddy a weekly bike meet minutes away at a pub called The Tavern Inn, Lots Of BIKES. Kemble, Cirencester GL7 6AX
Cheers Andy 👍
Fab stuff.
Know most of those roads north of Dikies county. It does point out however, that i don't know the south west at all! More travelling required.
Next time we catch up, remind me about the A9 ;-).
Ha Ha that sounds interesting! 🤣👍
That was ex home of the Red Arrows Kemble with all the old aircraft waiting for scrapping. Good cafe round the back of that and it's home to The Buccaneer Aviation Group.
The plane grave yard is Kemble.
what a ride nice work guys glad was only bike damage only and pride 😜 Comms are great we dod that on group rides clear clear clear still clear makes it so much safer to ride in groups with comms i think should be inbuilt into helmets nowadays
Your RBLR1000 video got me into ironbutt rides. Done 4 now! Going to sign up for the cancer research longest day ride this year. LeJoG on bikes costing less than 600 quid avoiding motorways. Entry opens on 21 Dec.
Nice, that’ll be a giggle too 👍👏
Great video and in a good cause - thank you.
The 1250GS is fantastic …
But could you do this on your new 1300GS, given some reports are that the ride is not as comfortable?
That was Kemble airfield you went past Bruce! It is indeed where aircraft come to die and get chopped up....
I'd love to do the LEJOG on just B roads on my Royal Enfield Himalayan. I did it once on a bicycle following the Cycle Touring Clubs "Scenic route". 1000 miles in 12 days!
I wish I could have a rider infront of me with comms saying "Clear clear clear" :)
That road through the Gorms was Special!
Wow, I really love the ‘thought’ of riding the UK by push bike, I’ve said I’ll ride around the UK at some point - it’s just trying to find the time and money to actually do it!
Well done on doing yours, that’s a great achievement 👍👏
well done Gents :)
Cheers Ollie 👍
My cardo edge did fail re battery, but the was fantastic , sent it back and within the week it was back fixed
Brilliant! That’s good to hear, glad you’re happy with it 👍
brilliant guys well done look forward to you doing the 2024 run. By the way are you related to Billy Connolly ? Comedian in the making keep them coming 😂😂👍
“Peak District…… my Arse!” 😂😂😂
Really enjoyed that fella's,typical Scot, the taker not the giver lol ;-)
Ride Safe Mr B \m/
PS TMF is right, Reds rule ok ;-)
Heated grips at 12 degrees. Your letting all your countrymen down 😂🏴
🤣👍
Cracking mate. What time of year did you do this? Weather looked ideal
Thanks, it was June’22
Never mind a pheasant. Just take it out. Here in Australia, you have to dodge the kangaroos, emus and camels. 😎 Enjoyed the vid.
Yep I’ve experienced the wildlife in Oz, Emu’s are the DUMBEST animals on earth! 🤦♂️🤣
I think you are correct. A VERY small brain by all reports. 🧐
Amazing video. Loved every minute. Would be interested to know more about your audio setup? It is criiiiisp!
Thanks Tom, I’ve done some vids on the helmet setup and how o record the Comms chat too 👍
"Slowing, Slowing Steve, Slowing" lol, well done guys! Did you ride straight home after?
No, we stayed at the hotel in John O’Groats then I rode home the next morning 👍
Another belter. Thanks Bruce. How's that new GS? (Obviously I realise this is your old one in this video before anyone comments)😅
Thanks bud, I absolutely LOVE the 1300, just not had a chance to ride at all in the last few weeks! I’ve been tied to the computer editing as I’m trying to clear the decks a bit at the moment, plus it’s been so icy around here that it wasn’t worth taking the bike out.
Doing a trek across to Welsh Wales next week though 👍
@@teapotone Looking forward to that one mate. Thanks for all you do, your editing is absolutely top notch and I can only imagine how long the process takes. Cheers!
kemble Plaines striped and parted
Everytime I’ve been up/down the A9 to Jog it’s been foggy and no coastal views
