  • What up everyone! I decided to make a pretty decent overview on the differences between American Football in Germany and the US simply because most people don't know. Thanks for watching and as always, COUNT YOUR BLESSINGS!

    Thank you so much! The amatuer nature of playing is what I admire the most in Europe, I have only ever played Semi Pro here in the Portland area, for 5 seasons and I've paid a player fee, bought my own gear, all transport costs to away games, some as far as 5 hour drive up north of Seattle, I am thankful to my Prius. It is nice to see that Div3 is approximately GFL1, I had not actually seen a comparison and wasn't sure where the top teams in Europe would fall in US system. It emboldens me now to know that it is possible for me to make a mark in the GFL even with just Semi Pro training. I know I might not actually ever be an import because I have actual NCAA experience but there are multiple paths, I mean... Not everyone in the NFL was drafted.

    Here from FlemLo Raps' channel. I just wanted to offer my props and respect. Your story is inspirational. Not in the fake, Hollywood, we get everything we want just because we want it way. Rather, you took the hand you were dealt, and played life like it should be played... You bluffed, called, raised, then went all in... knowing that you only get 1 hand to play. Appreciating your blessings, yet working and fighting for everything coming to you. You are not a product of your circumstances, but rather a testament to the human spirit. I wish you all the best.

      I don`t think so really. Sport is defineteley booming these days, but still parents are clearly rather putting their children in a football than a American Football club. And now with the concussion problem raising in the media, it will even be worse. I think even in the States, Football will go down long term because of the health problem..sad but true.

      NFL Europe was a pro league and failed. We will most likely never see a pro football league in europe. Semi-pro is the best you can get, maybe there will be a true bigsix competition featuring Braunschweig, Schwäbisch Hall, Frankfurt (if they survive), Wien, Innsbruck and a wildcard entry someday.

    Not to downgrade american football but i dont think 6.66 milion germans are fans of american football. Only 1.3 milion germans watched the superbowl. So i dont think that 5.3 milion people more care about the sport if they dont even watched the biggest game of the year.

      It’s a time difference from 6 to 9 hours between the US and Germany, so I think there’s a reason for people not watching the superbowl... btw I’m german and I watched the superbowl in the US, so there was probably more than 1.3 million germans watching the superbowl...

    • @lukadese
      @lukadese 6 років тому +1

      Enrico Krämer 6.6 milion fans and the average attandance for a gfl game is 1600 ? 4th division soccer has higher numbers than that. Ice-hockey , basketball and handball has higher attandences than american football and those 3 sports would never claim to have 6.66 milion fans in germany.

    Yo what’s up Silas, just letting you know that I really like what your channel is all about! It gives me those Dockery vibes and I love it. Just recently my friend and I joined this local amateur team after graduation and I came across your channel at the time and I told myself this is something I want to do. If I get enough film where can I upload it and potentially get noticed? What was your first experience getting in contact with teams there and how does it feel to be a professional in another country? Thanks!

    Yo man s/o to you for sticking to your gut and flipping the bird to the ncaa. I got two questions:
    1. Is the ultimate goal to get a shot in the NFL or are you just doing this while you’re still young?
    2. If yes to the first part, why not try the CFL route or even the arena league? I feel like the level of play in North America would better prepare you than that of Germany?
    Many blessings to you and yours.
