Lyrics:
I don't wanna talk about it
I don't wanna talk about it
I don't wanna talk about it
I don't wanna talk about it
Oh-oh oh, oh-oh, oh-oh, oh-oh
Oh-oh oh, oh-oh, oh-oh, oh-oh
Oh-oh oh, oh-oh, oh-oh, oh-oh
Oh-oh oh, oh-oh, oh-oh, oh-oh
We were young and drinking in the park
There was nowhere else to go
And you said you always had my back
Oh, but how were we to know?
That these are the days that bind you
Together, forever
And these little things define you
Forever, forever
All this bad blood here
Won't you let it dry?
It's been cold for years
Won't you let it lie?
Oh-oh oh, oh-oh, oh-oh, oh-oh
Oh-oh oh, oh-oh, oh-oh, oh-oh
If we're only ever looking back
We will drive ourselves insane
As the friendship goes, resentment grows
We will walk our different ways
But those are the days that bind us
Together, forever
And those little things define us
Forever, forever
All this bad blood here
Won't you let it dry?
It's been cold for years
Won't you let it lie?
I don't wanna hear about the bad blood anymore
I don't wanna hear you talk about it anymore
I don't wanna hear about the bad blood anymore
I don't wanna hear you talk about it anymore
All this bad blood here
Won't you let it dry?
It's been cold for years
Won't you let it lie?
Oh-oh oh, oh-oh, oh-oh, oh-oh
Oh-oh oh, oh-oh, oh-oh, oh-oh
Oh-oh oh, oh-oh, oh-oh, oh-oh
Oh-oh oh, oh-oh, oh-oh, oh-oh

It has taken me three fucking years to realise the sounds at the start is actually a voice saying 'I don't wanna talk about it' and not just beat box sounds. I can't digest this.

I really like the actress they chose for this music video. She's got this real serious edge to her in how she behaves and her long piercing stares. She looks like a character you'd see in a horror or supernatural show/film.
She's actually a model! ☺️

This song paints a well defined picture of guilt, shame, resentment, grudges & bitterness. It also offers a solution of letting it go & setting it free. By doing so it does not weigh on you anymore. The intense lyrics have struck a chord in millions. GR8 Song!
If people could let go, this song wouldn't exist.
@@mclovin2155 This song exists because people can let it go. If it wasn't possible, then there would be no point in it's message. That doesn't mean it's easy to do though.
I'm sure she had good reason to break into his house and eat his rotten food, but the fact that she just left the refrigerator door open is completely uncalled for.

Lyrics; for whoever needs them!
Theory: The Girl and The Boy are estranged siblings, not ex-lovers. That's why she still has a key to his house, and why no one has cleaned out the fridge or moved the dead flowers from the porch, or is questioning her increasingly unhinged behavior. She has a key because she lives there, or is the only other person with rights to access the house, and she's isolated herself from everyone they knew.
The siblings escaped an abusive childhood, hence the lyrics about being young and alone, nowhere else to go, having each other's backs, and being bound together and "defined forever" by traumatic experiences. But their relationship is has now become toxic, with The Girl unable to move on and let go of their traumatic past, while The Boy has begun to heal and move forward. He doesn't want it to be just "us against the world" anymore. He is forming friendships and relationships with others, and wants her to do the same ("all this bad blood here, won't you let it dry?/I don't wanna talk about the bad blood anymore/I don't want to hear you talk about it anymore/if we keep looking back, we'll drive ourselves insane!"). But she won't, or cant, and her brother is beginning to distance himself from her as a result. This distance is actually healthy for him, but for her it's devastating because he is the only person she has any kind of meaningful relationship with.
The siblings relationship deteriorates to the point that they aren't speaking, or are barely speaking. Then one day her brother is at the beach, maybe messing around with friends, and ends up falling into the water and vanishing. He obviously drowns but his body is never recovered. His sister, unable to bear the loss and already crippled with unaddressed trauma, falls into psychotic depression. She isolates herself in their house, eating his food, wearing his clothes, trying desperately to feel close to him again. She blames his friends for leading him away and driving a wedge between them, which is why she won't open the door to receive their flowers. In her mind, he wouldn't have died if he hadn't been out with them.
Alone and mentally ill, she eventually becomes so sick that she gathers his possessions and burns them as a makeshift funeral pyre for them both, and then walks into the sea, drowning herself on the same beach where her brother was last seen.
Makes me tear up knowing the kind of suffering so many people go through. Must be awful.:(
Might just be a theory , but a damn good one
The reasons for suffering will we ever find out?
I could literally listen to this song on repeat for 5 hours and it still would be fucking amazing.

I've officially deemed Bastille as one of those bands that I just won't try to understand the music videos anymore
I KNOW RIGHT?
Pretty sure it's about a a girl who killed that guy and then lives in his house. lol @ me.
yup pretty much
I think its about something bad he did that is haunting him.
Hard telling now days :0P
so...the guy (dan) drowned at sea. either by accident or his girlfriend drowned him/let him die. lets say she drowned him. she is unable to let go of what she did to him and is permanently stuck in the past (which is presumably where the 'bad blood' theme ties in- she hasn't had closure and so there is still 'bad blood') and this is shown through the rotting fruit, dead flowers and the way he is playing on a loop on the tv. he haunts her because of her guilt, which is shown when he appears in her living room, and possibly the red flashing lights symbolise the police and danger and things similar to that. then at the end, she collects all of the physical memories of him and i'm assuming drowns herself? because she is unable to live with the guilt of what happened and this is her way of finally letting go of the 'bad blood'. or maybe not. just my theory.
Was thinking this, the visions of him in the room, putting his clothes on, the rotten food and dead flowers - she can't let go of what happened to him. "I don't want to hear about the bad blood anymore" could be like she's sick of it being in her head and can't get it out - like telling herself she doesn't want to think about it any more, hence probably drowning herself at the end.
Wow If never looked into this that way
Props to you
All the little things now add up

I was searching for Bad Blood by Taylor Swift on YT but found this masterpiece instead. Now one of my favourite songs, it's so good ❤️
I know right
Yep, Welcome to the club. Bastille will beat Taylor swift anyday. I hate how they released this song like 3/4 years before Taylor swift and yet she has the more popular song. This song needs more recognition. All Bastille songs do.
taylor swift is kind of boring in my opinion she just does some love songs
Bastille is defo one of the most underrated bands in the UK

No it's about her brother/lover/friend who disappeared (although he drowned and is dead-most likely by suicide) and her life has now become like the waking dead because she can't let go of him signified by her hanging at the beginning of the video and eating rotten food. So at the end she finally decides to kill herself by taking his stuff and jumping into the ocean and as she's being swept away she sees everything he saw as he was also dying, as a cycle of letting go
Couldn't have said it better my self. Very nice explanation of the visuals.
i say lover
there is no girl, no lover. If you read into it, its about two brothers who were on their own (since the house was older and carried more warm colours, it was an older persons house. Likely the parents either left them or died, leaving the two with a grandparent who passed at some point) and the younger of which drowned the older in the ocean. The youngest refused to leave the house after the fact, which is why the food was rotten. The brother eventually gave into guilt and burnt his brothers belongings, ultimately throwing himself into the same ocean that he killed his brother in.
No lover, no boo hoo love story, just simple murder. Just simple suicide.
Its something you see done often in music.

As sad as their songs may seem, they are full of life, redemption and hope. Had the pleasure of seeing them in concert and they put on an incredible show. 🙌👌😎
Dan's voice is transcendent
couldn't agree more
I was singing this song at my friend's house and she asked what it was and I said Bad Blood and she went, "That's not how Bad Blood goes." And since I adore this song and know it by heart I got all defensive and we ended up getting into a small argument and she screamed, "Taylor Swift would be disappointed!" And I went, "What does Taylor Swift have to do with this?" And she goes, "She wrote the song!" And then I just laughed because I had forgotten about Taylor Swift having a song titled Bad Blood, as well.
...
I hate when people gets defensive
It's annoying

Maybe he's not even in the water. She throws away a box of his stuff (and he's in the water) his jacket was in the box too. Maybe he died - she can't get over it and finally throws away his things when she has a nightmare (him in the ski mask)
Anyway- Bastille are genius for coming up with a crazy video that can be interpreted anyway
If i got famous doing music, i'd just make a totally random music video without any real meaning and watch as people try to rack their brains trying to figure it out.

Dancing Spider-Man!
I think that this video is more of a metaphor for Dan's relationship with his girlfriend. Maybe he didn't actually fall in the lake. This is just her way of envisioning his departure from her life. The house represents her past with him. When she enters it, she is revisiting her memories with him. Based on the name of the song, they probably split up because of an argument or something, hence the lyrics "these little things define us forever." Whatever small thing they fought over defined the rest of their relationship. It left them with a bad memory. Yet, he wants this "bad blood" to dry so that they can only keep the good memories. The TV news report was probably her own mind, wishing and longing for him back, or replaying the bad fight they had. As someone mentioned in another comment, the rotten food represents the "bad blood", being the bad memories. When she goes to throw herself in the lake, I think that she is finally cleaning herself from the bad blood. Dan was doing the same thing, and at this point they forgive each other, and towards the end they find each other again. I don't know if this theory is right or not but I like to think of it this way!
Wow this is great thank you🙏

This specific song reminds me of a certain someone. It's saddening but it brings this comforting feeling that hurts in a way that cannot be easily explained. I cant keep myself from coming back to it though.
I think that the video was about a girl who's guardian (probably older brother) drowned but she couldn't accept it (explaining the missing person posters). She is depressed and so won't leave the house (or she may be awaiting her brother's return) explaining the rotten food (she refuses to leave to get new food, either because she'll miss her brother coming back or she can't bring herself to). She is haunted by the faint idea he died (explaining the disappearing masked man). She is eventually hit by reality and when she realises that he died, she sets fire to his things and drowns herself, so she'll be with him again (also, we see her wearing what appears to be her brother's clothes throughout most of the video)
The flowers... Her bf
actually the story is that she killed him. so he haunts her and she can't escape what she's done, so in the end she decides to kill herself
alexia deleon oh ok :-) thanks for telling me
+theunusualhuman +alexia deleon Wow Those A Both Dark. Dark, Dark Horse (Illuminati Music Plays) Dark Horse By Taylor Swift, Taylor Swift Bad Blood, Bastille Bad Blood! HUH D:
+alexia deleon 1st time I heard this song. My impression was that she was obsessed with him, perhaps they were close at 1 time. They were somewhat obsessed with each other or she was with him, but they wanted to move on, or he did. She didn't want to lose him, so she killed him, so they'd be together forever. Her obsession stayed, evident by the way she horded all of his stuff, such as the missing report video, picture, missing report paper, flowers, and even the food. Each time she ate a lil of that old food she felt she was getting closer to him. But she was perhaps bothered by the fact that she killed him or that she couldn't get any closer to him, hence the imagining of him standing there every now and then. To get even closer, she figured she'd burn his stuff and kill herself, somewhat trying to follow his exact footsteps like earlier with the food. That's why it showed him drowning with her. She was obsessed and a psycho.Having just rewatched this, that's exactly what it was about. She was a stalker, obsessed to be just like him...

You are a god among men for posting the lyrics.
Carlos Alberto It’s “past” not “park”.
oh^28
It sounds to me that the song is about not being able to let go of the past and her friend dying. It ate her up inside, like she kept thinking about it, ruminating the pain like eating rotten food instead of fresh food, which are the new experiences she could have in life that are nourishing.
Like your coments
FINALLY...somebody understands this song/video. She's consumed by the thoughts that haunt her about their relationship. Whether he is dead or just gone is irrelevant. She holds the mementos of him, letting that consume her. The TV playing a time that she remembers him and the setting. Him drowning is her drowning, in her mind. Her escape, is to have her physical match her mental. She tries hold onto things to ease the pain that he's still around, ie the meal..the she probably planned on eating with him. To eat that, to dull the pain. The end, is her either faux realizing that she's moved on by discarding the remnants of the past, or that she's moved on, but still stuck in the prison of drowning in the waves of her own mind. Awesome video.
Brian Hertsenberg Sir, that comment was absolutely........MIND BLOWING. You made me understand the video MUCH better.

Just my take, without the use of illicit drugs :) Thanks! It's just "art". It speaks to you in your own way. Explanations make it more comfy..and this shouldn't be. It's unsettling how the mind works and imprisons you. It's hard to name an emotion that has no name.

@@TUMunich it's much better here isn't it?
@@lameloball1453 it’s a bit slow for my taste tbh both songs aren’t really my taste lol. But it’s not Bad.
I think I have my own idea of what might've happened. Watching the music video over for the third time, and hearing "as the friendship goes, the resentment grows" I immediately thought they were dating and maybe this guy cheated on her or something and she was heartbroken, in a blind rage she broke into his house, murdered him, and hid his body. And, as the days go by seeing his face everywhere, and knowing what happened to him she was wracked with guilt and that's when she tries killing herself. I got this idea because it's similar to what happened in a graphic novel "Anya's Ghost" Emily, the name of the ghost when she was alive, I believe dated this guy, and something happened and he ended up cheating on her and in her blind rage ended up killing them both, and dying herself by falling into a well, breaking her neck then dying from dehydration. So, this also leads me to believe this girl's resentment for the guy she loved was growing over time, maybe he'd been unfaithful to her many times and she finally got sick of his lies, she seems emotionless as well. As Emily did too, although Emily was crying. This girl, no emotions at all. Maybe, she didn't care. Just didn't want to be caught known as the girl who snapped and murdered her boyfriend.
ooorrrrrr it could be that they were friends or related, or dating, and he accidently drowned. then she breaks into his house, finds out, gets depressed, eats rotten food, hallucenates, and then kills herself. just another theroy :3
I'm sure that's EXACTLY how it happened.
Or It could be all coincidences.

I find it quite funny how in light of Taylor Swift's song, if other people hear this song for the first time (and they don't bother to look at the year that it was released) they'll think its actually a response to Taylor Swift's song "Bad Blood". Lines like "All this Bad Blood here, won't you let it lie?" and "I don't want to hear about the Bad Blood anymore. I don't want to hear you talk about it anymore." are the perfect responses to Taylor Swift's song. Her song is about holding on to Bad Blood, Bastille's is about letting it go and moving on, because we can't change the past, but we can still move forward. You can make your own conclusion about the maturity level of each song.
Michelle Kaiser " You can make your own conclusion about the maturity level of each song." and each artist too

i just cannot get enough of dan´s singing. him and sia would be a killer duo.
My thoughts on the video:
They are siblings the bad blood is the guy he was probably a thief or something the sister used to love and respect him and they were happy but then the sister started to get annoyed that the brother kept getting in trouble with the police and stopped respecting him. the brother was dead to her the food is the rot in her heart and when the brother went missing she didn't care. Maybe she killed him
Oh and no matter how hard she tries to forget about him she still loves him
Interesting interpretation. For me, the amazing thing about this video was that I didn't analyze it at all -- which is unusual for me, since I usually "overthink" everything. It was like 3 mins of pure emotion.
The thing that really hit me was the drastic shift at 2:45 when she wakes up. Going from feeling disgust and fear to just pure, heavy sadness.
I think its her bf/ex bf bc of all the flower bouquets on her doorstep :3
BobtheAmazingly AwesomeUnicorn I think flowers are from people who are saying sorry about her loss
That makes sense too :D so would they have been living together then? It seems like the box she takes out is his things
This is so much better than Taylor's Bad Blood. This actually has a deeper meaning while Taylor's is the usual breakup/relationship fight song. I missed the days when this actually was on the first page when you search "Bad Blood".
I know right
Actually Swift's version is not about a relationship.
***** It's about her break up. Just her typical kind of song choice.
+Alyza Co It's about Katy Perry. Not everything in her songs is about relationships. But you wouldn't know that because you've already established your prejudiced opinion. I love this song but I also like Swift, so don't be so quick to assume.
***** I know it's not all about breakups. But all of her songs are mostly about breakups. If you heard Bad Blood the first time, you wouldn't know it would be about Katy Perry. Her songs are catchy, but they all almost have the same concept about breaking a relationship. Where are the songs that have a deeper meaning?
8 years... still FUCKING AMAZING
I actually love that I don't understand what's happening in the video after watching it once.
Maybe I won't understand it if I watch it a hundred times.
But you know, we don't have to understand everything.

TS' Bad Blood is meaninglessly written and composed
just a song and a mv for promotion
it's value is much less than Bastille's Bad Blood
Jodiejg76 Both of those songs are what they are, they share a name, both of them are Bad Blood, I personally do like this one a lot more because this is just more like my style of music, we should not call this "real bad blood" when Taylor Swift's Bad Blood should be seen on equal ground.

From interview with Dan. His words. What about your single, Bad Blood? What were your influences for the lyrics to this song?
I was thinking about relationships and friendships you have that help form you as a person, and, despite these being important, how you can completely lose touch with those people. Drifting away from people is both really weird and very normal.
What was the idea behind the Bad Blood video?
We wanted to make something cinematic and mysterious that didn’t impose any kind of meaning on the song and left it open to interpretation.
www.comedychords.com/news/bastille-interview-new-album-bad-blood-released-march-4th/
I would say that's a pretty good explanation.
My Theory:
Her brother dies and she doesn't want to let go. Seeing the rotten food, her wearing his clothes and the t.v. showing the missing persons report. She sees him at times b/c she feels as he's still there. Then she's in the bathtub and she realizes he's gone and she collects his things. She goes to where he died and she throws his things in the water then herself. As she's drowning she sees him where it's potrayed as he's dying all over again, bit with her.
*but
+Kat Jones In the music video for Flaws, I think that he washed on shore after this music video.
+Nathaniel Winfree thats right he doesnt die but she thinks he did
+Kat Jones No, I think he's dead in the Flaws music video. Because when the video ends, he simply drops down where he washed up.
+Kat Jones waw! that's the most coherent explanation I've ever heard about the video

Elijah Sednev Maybe, but this video is sure as hell not one.
cherryblossom1289
Yea but it's still yucky with the rotten food LOL
Ram Stones True :p
I've been trying to find this song for a year. I thought I recognized the voice, but didn't remember any lyrics. I googled the closest thing I could remembered, and saw one by Bastille. I had guessed that might have been who sang it, and I was right. This song brings back very fond memories.
I absolutely love bastille ❤ such a great artist and unique. Definitely underrated
10 years I haven't thought about this song. Suddenly out of nowhere I start singing it to myself while on my drive home. Couldn't even remember who sang it.
To all the Taylor Swift commenters:
"I don't wanna hear about the bad blood anymore"
"I don't wanna hear you talk about it anymore"
To all the repliers:
"If we're only ever looking back, we will drive ourselves insane"
"As the friendship goes, resentment grows, we will walk our different ways"
+LooneyBoy what friendship?
+LooneyBoy we have no friendship right now this is war againt taykot
+Juan Rosas taylor
+Juan Rosas you are all idiots, just because you don't like a certain artist, it doesn't mean you start a comment war.
So glad I got this album.
It's such an amazing album. Very talented band.
I've played this song 20 times already. (in the last 2 hours) Heard it for the first time yesterday! im in love OOOOH that base line!!!
im the same way. this song i dedicate to my best friend and i :)
love it!!
All of the imagery in this video is symbolic. Her wearing his clothes symbolizes her obsession over him. The dead food in the refrigerator and her eating it symbolizes that their past relationship is dead and in the past, her eating the rotten food symbolizes how unhealthy all of this is and how she is poisoning herself by refusing to let go of what they once had. The dead and dried flowers symbolizes the love that once flowed so naturally and freely between them and how it has completely dried up, there is nothing left outside of her feelings for him. The saying that repeats about bad blood refers to a fight that happened between them from the point of the break up on. She can't see that there is no possible future between them. It is obvious that acting the way that she is is toxic to her health and mental state yet she clings to it because she can't except that it is over. He no longer loves her. Her walking out of that house full of death and memories of him symbolizes her finally leaving her feelings in the past where they belong. And her throwing his stuff into the ocean symbolizes a death. Not a physical death but a spiritual one. She is throwing away and putting to rest all of the negativity that she has been holding onto all that time. She is letting go of him. The the images of both of them drowning at the end symbolizes how she has let go of their relationship and how she is no longer the woman who was held back him or her feelings for him.
Yep a woman will do that to you!
thanks for explaining i was confused
This is your interpretation but not a great one. She wasn’t drowning in the end…
Or, her boyfriend actually drowned and she couldn't live without him. You're looking too deeply.
I think the video...this is just my intake on the situation in the video.
The guy in the sea and the person we see in this video used to be good friends or possibly something closer (look at the lyrics and you'll see where I'm coming from), but then something went wrong...horribly wrong..and it is implied that the person we see in the video killed the guy we see in the sea (implied that he dumped the man's body in the sea).
She breaks into his house and takes over that domain, but begins to have thoughts about the crime (as she sees it on the news and keeps having flash backs about it) and it wears her down emotionally and mentally (which is why she ate rancid food and tried to drown herself in the bathtub), so she gets rid of her deceased friends things and burns them.
***** That was my own intake of what I believe happened in the video and in no way was my intake "wrong". Everyone is entitled to their own intakes and opinions, thank you very much. Have a nice day.
***** You're not getting it. I am taking about the video mostly and I know he wrote the song himself. Having a personal intake on what happens is not wrong at all, and you're actually in the wrong for trying to judge one's intake. I have better things to do than argue with somebody who doesn't get things. Have a nice day.
Rhiane Norman Do you think she might have commited suicide?
KomarinProductions I think so, yes. I mean she does jump in the same waters she dumped the guy in.
I've finally found a comment that gives the best logical explanation for this video. thank you.
Who the fuck drinks from the carton? Come on man, someone else might want some!
And then the rotten food? I think I'm gonna puke... xD
Tyler Cantrell IKR! I wanted some of whatever was in the carton... but not anymore.
Tyler Cantrell It reminded me of mayonnaise

you adore jack daniel's??
taylor swift: *sues for copyright infringement*
taylor swift: *makes song entitled "bad blood"*
+hailey cagle bastille song is older than tswifts song and you cant sue for a song title
I'm sure this was a joke
RIGHT
i know both songs have the same title but they're so different why is it such a big deal
+Elise G because it's annoying as fuck if you talk about an EPIC song named Bad Blood and people immediately assume it's the one by Taylor Swift
the melody, the lyrics, the way he sings this song, the music video, everything really gives you a dark vibe, I love it
i used to be obsessed with this song when i was younger.. it still goes hard
It's 2020 and this song still hits hard in the feels! Ah, as we get older it seems life just keeps driving. This to me is a true masterpiece! I hope someday my kids can enjoy this as I did.

You listen to twenty one pilots, your opinion is invalid. 😂
Sam Rockwell ok 😂😂
Sam Rockwell l
@@ThumbDr Says the one listening to Bastille
your opinion is more valid
this song is so underrated that is all i have to say.
Since I always get annoyed at people complaining that they don't get it, here's my interpretation:
The girl in this video is Dan's (the main singer and guy drowning) ex-girlfriend. Whether an educated guess, she is the murderer or just a crazed belief, she believes he has drowned, a fact obviously kept from the public who has still declared him "missing". Driven to insanity, either from guilt or grief (read into it as you choose), she goes around his house, wearing his clothes, eating his rotten food and such. She eventually wakes up from this, after seeing haunting images of his ex-boyfriend, revealing that this is in fact a dream, and that she has attempted drowning herself in a bathtub. Unable to cope, she collects various objects depicting her boyfriend in a box. Note the dead flowers, perhaps indicating she hasn't left the house for a few days, isolating herself in her depression and/or guilt. She eventually takes this box to the beach, in all likelihood the one, her boyfriend drowned in, burns the box on the shore, as she jumps in the water, undoubtedly a second suicide attempt.
Also, new thoughts. Entering the man's house, making herself feel at home, and most importantly the rotten food, suggest she probably is deluding herself into believe nothing has changed in the situation. When obviously, this house and also this relationship has fallen into disrepair. Perhaps it is this acknowledgement upon waking up that makes her realise how bad things are and prompt her second attempt.
There's something that's so simple yet also so complex and meaningful about those lyrics that really hits deep if you can connect to it... deep
Special song. But really beautiful and unusual.
Ughh, how did this get less views than that shit, Taylor?
Ikr!!!!!! When I search 'bad blood' it's just comes up with all her stuff👿👿
Nicole Lourdes think about it
Nicole Lourdes she stole this song
Nicole Lourdes I know, right!
xXSubsXx Er, Taylor Swift's Bad Blood sounds, nothing like this one.
It's not indie rock if it's not indie. Even so, this song marks a day in my life which is a prize to be had.
Listening to Bastille is like listening to the music beneath the ambitions, bluster and greed of mankind. That surface noise is usually overpowering and drowns out everything else but Bastille somehow captures the essence that runs beneath all human enterprise.
Just my theory: The girl in the beginning when she is holding on the tree, to me, means that she wants to forget (hanging self) but can’t let herself leave everything alone. The rotten food and dead flowers shows that she won’t let her past go away and she thinks of it almost replaying itself in a way. When she sees the red lights, it means danger, or somebody will know her secret. She is in the bathtub, almost like she feels like she is connecting with him in a way since they would both be in water. He is missing, so the flashing lights might mean that she had something to do with him being missing. And the words “all this bad blood won’t you let it dry” she doesn’t want to let go meaning that she in the sense “won’t let the bad blood dry”. She keeps messing with it, making herself feel guilty and seem like she is still with him even though he is gone. She goes in the water at the end to basically end what is happening, so she won’t feel the guilt any longer. I know it is long but it’s something lmao.
Well done 😄
I got all of that in a sense but you just explained it way clearer and captured some things I couldn’t quiet wrap my head around!! That’s Amazing!!! God bless!
This gives me some crazy nostalgic feeling of a time I can’t pinpoint
Same with me, I used to hear this song every day for a few months and could never identify it. I subconsciously started to associate this song with that part of my life, and I managed to identify it tonight and the nostalgia is crazy.
One of my favorite songs of all time! Wish Bastille would create more stuff (like this)
I got this song stuck inside my head for years and just keeps coming back to me. I love this song.
Vampire diaries bought me to Bastille when they played oblivion in the vampire diaries now I'm in love with him cause he obviously has an awesome voice and talent
I remember my cousin would play this song for me at our grandma's house before she died and I loved it but I never knew the name and I am so happy I finally after 5 year had enough brain power to find it again and I still LOVE IT ❤
Better than Taylor Swift.
Why do you have to compare? They're both great singers.Just because the title of the songs are the same doesn't mean that you can blame taylor like that i'm not commenting to tell that your opinion is wrong but please respect the singer;)
^ here we go..
Ur a joke kid
Harvey Parsons yes, if you're not into Taylor Swift's music.
Harvey Parsons Spot on. Taylor Swift's music of late is like diluted water
Bad Blood is one of those euphoric songs that just brings you bliss and joy whenever it plays
_those harmonized echoes in the chorus_ >>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>
I get a feeling that Bastille's music videos are based around vampires; the girl eating rotten food, and in Pompeii the people had pale skin and black eyes.
too much buffy and supernatural son
Gorky kk you might be on to something
Bakki
Hahaha yeh i thought so, still we'll never know
Yeah...no...not really...
Well the black eyes thing.... I think its more demons than vampires? IDK that's just my thought on it
This remains as one of my favorite Bastille songs of all time.
Did anyone notice that she LEFT THE GODDAMN FRIDGE OPEN?!
i kinda went crazy there like dosnt it make an alarm?!?!?! i does for me...
best album of bastille,i feel nostalgic with this song, body finding darkness through space
Bastille is really metaphoric, and I think it's amazing! But then a ton of ignorant people come here and make ignorant statements and cause so much turmoil in the comments! Can we just stop and enjoy the incredible music?!
The more I hear Bastille the more I like their music.
Indie is too strong right now!
Yea, I know, I just consider the sound "indie".
***** indie is a genre of music, so i doesnt matter what label they're signed to:)
Alice Caple I think that Chad was using indie as in "independent record label" which I believe is where the sound we know and love came from. I don't know though, just guessing : ) Also, this song is just ugh. Amazing.
Cool tune finally decided to add it. I have my reasons, come from a pot full of it. #badblood
Goddammit Taylor Swift. Now I have to type in Bad Blood Bastille to find this song
OldCrotchety lol
