Great video! Appreciate it! Do you have to do anything with 'Domains' when setting up the SMTP relay? If not, when would you?

You're welcome! There is nothing to do with DNS or the domain itself that must be configured. The main configuration is the going to be the SMTP server as shown. I'm not sure when you would setup anything to do with the domain itself for an SMTP relay. If you have a specific situation, I may be able to answer that. Hope that helps.

Three application is using the same account (email address) to send emails. Some times mails are not flowing due to the daily mail limit in Office 365.
To overcome this I need three email address for those three application, one for each.
IIS server can be configured using one account only. I need to configure three accounts in iis smtp relay server to send mails.

I’m not sure how you overcome that limit, except by setting up your printer to direct to 3 different smtp servers.

Hello, I did set up mine , the testEMail file did not delete automatically. And the message was not delivered...please assist

I would say that the SMTP server for the relay isn't configured correctly. verify that the mail.domain.com server is configured correctly. If it's not deleting, it means that the relay is not able to forward it to the correct server.

I was told by Microsoft Support that this is deprecated and not supported. Any ideas about this?

that is correct. I'm also looking for an alternative. it's not a terribly old MF Printer as it's a Sharp MX-5071. Certainly not new though. It has an address book, so when someone goes up to the printer, they scan to email by choosing the person in the Copier address book. The way the copier works now is that it has an SMTP feature that has the IP address of the on-premise Exchange Server, but that is going away. We are moving to O365 exclusively. So what is my best option? The printer is sophisticated and has a lot of options....but I'm just not sure of the best way. (and we are already live with O365, but just not cut-over fully from HYBRID mode yet.)

I’m not sure I really understand what you mean by the 2 office 365 ID for two applications. If you’re asking can multiple people who have different accounts use the same smtp relay. The answer is yes. Once the relay is established, everyone can use it.

If you're company is using Gmail or yahoo for their email. (This is an assumption). But probably not a general public account.

Some quick troubleshooting tips: Verify that the email client on the copier is directed to the right SMTP relay server. Verify that the SMTP relay is responding and forwarding emails. If it's not it won't deliver.
