- I get a chance to crawl over the New Electric Van from Arrival. I even manage to have a quick drive around the car park. Payload, size, batteries charging and more - The big question is when will it Arrive?! #automotive #innovation #electricvehicles #commericalvehicles

As a Peugeot electric van driver nice to see what a ground up van is like
Does it actually drive ?
Damn it! Just when I thought I had enough shares…..
I'm 15k in
Our host gushing over the entrance to the vehicle/driving area made me chuckle. That just makes it a step van, they've been around for decades. Popular precisely for ease of entry and exit. I had heard a rumor that the UK & Europe didn't have them. His reaction makes me think that must be so.
It is a nice vehicle. Thanks for making the vehicle.
You are right - We do not have it in the UK so for us simple folk it is innovative! As I said it will make a massive difference for the delivery drivers that use the vehicle, particularly as it is a simple step up...
@@electricvanman Hey now, nobody is looking down on you as "simple folk."
You are good people, just people who have been deprived for decades.
However, that has all changed now. Huzzah!!!
@@pauld6967 Huzzah indeed, and maybe one day we can return the enlightenment and you too can have the steering wheel on the right (correct) side of the vehicle! 😜
i have doubled my share holding here @ $3 sit back and watch it grow now
I’m willing to purchase more shares by the end of march.
Lol....they just went bust.....not a single van sold.....
Don’t watch too long though…!
Great review sir. Very jealous and looking forward to test driving one too
Thanks a million Derek - let’s hope we all get to drive one out on the road soon!!
Arrival van should also builds into RV , its has plenty of rooms for 4 persons bed 🛌!
You can just order a van and convert it. Apart from that, I am sure other companies will eventually use these for their campervan conversions. Car manufacturers themselves very rarely do campervan conversions.
They make 3 different sizes
As someone else has said the conversion companies will do this work. Arrival have enough mainstream vehicles to get out before they will have time to think about RV's
Now mail carriers & parcel companies have NO excuse for not upgrading their fleets! Out with the ICE’s, in with the EV’s 🌎
I could not have put it better myself!
Paul, thanks for review of the Arrival Electric Van
Always a pleasure Richard - Going to be doing more here as time goes by!
You're welcome!
@@electricvanman Hey.. I'm Paul!
Walter would like that
That left hand mirror could be useful for over shoulder blind spot
Really does look great van inside
It is very simple and very effective! I think it will be very good for the drivers
If only they were a several years further along and U.S. subsidiary had been able to submit proposal to USPS NGDV RFP, with plans for multiple microfactories building vans across the U.S.
the design on it fits exactly to my van convention protiekt🤔 just a few options like insulation and options in windows.🙏 and 50% of the work is done before I get the car🤗 nice choice of materials rust and dents are past. 😁when can I buy it and what does it cost 😍🥰
will be hard to get one before end 2023 although first deliveries this year. Cost just south of 50k is expected but with spiralling costs of vehicles this could go up...
@@electricvanman no worries I am not in a hurry I have an iveco from 2015 which has been converted but I am in the process of planning a future project🤔🤗
contemplating converting one into an ice cream van and attaching solar panels on the roof
i had the same thought for a mobile shop for the local villiages
Another good shout - especially if you already have a community or two in your mind. Knowing where and when you will travel is perfect
Great idea! Some companies have already done this. Also converted to refrigerated transport, using solar panels to support the battery for the fridge unit.
If they could answer the mails from potential customers after they appear on the tube that would be great.
Now considering how SLOW their machines are when can you purchase a van??????
FFS I want buttons for main controls like lights and heating NOT AN F****** TOUCH SCREEN
Adjust the placement of your mic mate, everytime you put your hands together you mess up the audio
It was very frustrating - Apologies! I was so annoyed!
When does it go on sale and what about pricing?
First customer deliveries the end of this year. I have not seen official pricing but I believe it is between 40-45k but it will vary depending on battery and variant
I am buying lile crazy got to 50k now. Buying and crying
gm has a brightdrop van that has 250 mile range but 210 is close.
Doesnt look like those shelves will hold the parcels in place. They will be on the floor before you know it. Maybe if they had put sliding cage doors on then yes it would be an ideal parcel delivery van
The originals have been “shelved” in favour of better ones bespoke for the parcel sector (tried and tested!)
Very surprised that the maximum range was only 211 Miles
Nice review only next time put the microphone on your lapel - out of the way of your hands 😆
I hear ya!
Big square roof like that and no solar panels? It doesn't seem to have roof rails, why not add a couple of hundred quid to the cost and include that option?
It's not going to propel the vehicle but if you do use all that range in a given day that's a hell of a battery to have to charge overnight. Even a few kWh over a week from when it's parked up of an evening, between jobs and at the weekend would help smooth out the recharge curves or provide range boosts in the summer that will certainly add up.
Good point and it is being thought of by ancillary providers... Not by the manufacturer yet - Be nice if they could just get the vehicle out so wont be pressing them to sort it anytime soon
Does anyone know when they actually come to the roads? Also buses and uber cars? Thanks
The first robot produced vehicle has been completed and they are beginning production in Q3 with first deliveries in Q4… will be a while before you could get your hands on one though as the first few thousand have already been snapped up….
@@electricvanman thanks a lot. I would actually need one as well but i have also bought 15k shares recently. So maybe stocks are going to pay for the van
@@florinserbabh4560 arrival is it good company? I also want to buy some shares that company
@@user-pk3bg1ib2o its a scam, indian russian run scam
Range fully loaded?
As they havent published fully ratified WLTP figures yet (the gov measurements) It will be hard to suggest the difference between partial and full loading. That said 2-3% per hundred kgs off their published number is usually a good measure. Full up at the 4.25t payload could be 1900 kgs costing you around 20% range. But only if you are that weight for the full journey of course...
@@electricvanman you what you a
@@electricvanman Thanks for this, your figures are optimistic. In Jersey we trialed an electric double decker bus on route 15 that has a very steep hill. All the figures said it would cope, it did not. Under load it simply ran out of juice as I had predicted. It was withdrawn from service.
Too bad about crackling audio. Level seems a bit low.
Yup was the problem of doing it without a sound guy!!
Paul thank you.. imagine $1arvl stock rally like tesla one day.. opportunity to become millionaires ..
I don’t think so. Today is it 0.04$
Glad to see the arrival van at last. This presentation is full of sales blurb and not enough facts, not the best use of my time!
What facts would you like to hear? I am doing a follow up shortly so happy to include...
fix your mic!
Yup I am aware! Sadly time and opportunity meant I couldn’t go back for a retake£
The original concept vs actual vehicle are barely similar.
The bull about the ORVMs saving cost......
Hopefully it will at the least achieve what the presenter says.
Stock price $1.88 today 😂

@@panterrka1983 is it good company? A car was broken?
That won’t do it need 3 times that range
As a delivery driver it’s plenty.
What do you need the vehicle for? 3 times that range is a very long way to be done on a daily basis....
? ???????
USPS could of just bought these instead of the ugly inefficient ones they got.
They have invested very much in this Van - They will get the first ones off the production line!
@@electricvanman Thanks good to hear! Didn't realize they had a deal with them.
My heart sank the second I saw the fkin touchscreen, as it's yet another EV contributing to the war against human independence from OTA updates and remote control/deplatforming by the state.
Nice long range and flashy gizmos mean little if a corrupt state or the company that wants you to buy new products has a remote-controlled off switch or can just covertly nerf the vehicle over time with each 'update' until you give up and buy another vehicle. The truckers would have no leverage to protest with if their vehicles can by lowjacked by the enemies of freedom and democracy.
You might as well let Trudeau control a master password to access or drive your vehicle with tech-chains like this.
I'm trying to understand your point. Are you saying this takes away from the ability for the drivers to unionize? Besides the fact they don't own the vehicles, it would not prevent them from unionizing. I think you're just applying your ideology to something simply because it is technology that is centralized, as if that is automatically something bad
Long awaited but UNWANTED.....15 BILLION SPENT....not a single van sold.....pathetic
those headlights could be much better, they are so ugly
This van is really ugly box. The alpha model was by far a futuristic design befitting new technology
Junk
Me or the video😃
