I fucking love how the youtube algorithm is saying that this is "2006 gears of war". Oh how tecmo fooled the bots but not the humans.
Between the "Gravedigger" and the "Hell Launcher" I was half expecting a sword unironically called the "Edge Lord."
Funniest bit of trivia was that this was originally supposed to be the PS3's own Gears of War as it was announced all the way back in 2007 as a PS3 exclusive. Then it got delayed multiple times all the way to 2010 which by then, the PS3 was no stranger of Gears-like cover shooters, and also got a 360 port due to needing to cover the increasing costs of the game.
Holy shit, i remember playing this when i was just a kid. Also, i love that youtube tagged this game as Gears of Wars on the video description lol.

I understand that this is a real game made by real humans released on a real videogame console, but I refuse to believe that this is actually real. It feels like a 2021 parody of a game that came out in 2010
I just had a reclaimed memory of this game existing. I completely erased it from memory. I forgot just how value brand GoW this game was. I’ll need to go back to my therapist after watching this video. So much brown and grey!
2010 was a weird year for Japanese games. All of the sudden, all these games came out emulating western games. Of those that came out, I think only two were successful, Nier and Vanquish. Probably because they held true to what made Japanese games special in the first place.
I'd be down for an LP of this. I always did love how weird and edgy and nonsensical it was. Shame I left it on the bus when I got it back from a friend

The gimmick of this game was moving environments where the waste high cover could shift. It also was a gear of war clone for PlayStation users. The chick and the tower are connected for lore reasons and the tower keeps popping up. The only thing going for this game is it's old trailer. The song used is choke by hybrid.

I'm actually surprised that Epic or Microsoft didn't sue Tekmo for this game since it's pretty clear that it's a Gears knock off. Hell, even YT thinks this is Gears 1

In my opinion: the story and theme gets kinda interesting later on. You're fighting angelic creatures too or something, and the Arks are living things you're killing from the inside out I think, and you meet a new girl each time? The main issue is the game just keeps going on and on. Howlongtobeat claims it's 6.5 hours, but I feel like I was playing for ages with no end in sight and a ton of story trophies yet to go. The enemy types also tend to look identical. I legit enjoyed Inversion though :P

This looks like one of those games I would have bought at Gamestop in 2012/2013 for like 10 bucks because I was a teenager and only had so much disposable income. I found some legit more obscure gems among the crap that way though like Alpha Protocol, Singularity, and the Bourne Conspiracy.
The E3 2010 trailer for this game was pretty cool. So it had that going for it, I guess...

You should give Deception 3: Dark Delusion a run. Its a game where your only defense is setting super violent traps for your enemies and then you lure them to their bloody doom. Its a ps1 game by Techmo so its an older era game.

Something about this Game screams PS3 Game...think it's the focus on bump mapping and so forth on the main character but everything else looks muggy? Don't even mean it in a bad way, I'm just remembering a lot of Games took that artistic approach back in the day.
