      I am really pleased with these Berger 144 gr Hybrids. I still have to load some of the 156 gr Bergers.

    The lunchroom called and wanted their table back

    • @Halfmilesniper
      @Halfmilesniper  4 дні тому

      LOL...I made a lot of videos off the aluminum table before I said I'll just use my portable. I had to buy a moving blanket to use as a table cloth to try to mute the hollow reverb from the table, but the shots still sounded like Stormtrooper blasters from Star Wars, lol.

      Things are definitely starting to tighten up, now if I can get the copper bullets to do so.

    Nice shooting! I also think you should try the Hammer bullets.

    • @Halfmilesniper
      @Halfmilesniper  6 днів тому

      I have looked at the Hammer bullets, I am trying to decide if I want to get a box or get a sample set. They look like really nice bullets and everyone that has tried them swears by them.

    Thanks for sharing your experiments with us. I don’t have a 6.5 PRC but my 6.5 x .284 will push the 156 elite hunters at about 2885 to 2908 with Retumbo .Also likes Pixie dust called Reloader #17 lol

    • @Halfmilesniper
      @Halfmilesniper  3 дні тому

      I was able to find some Retumbo, finally, just waiting for it to be delivered. Still can't find any EL17, 25 or 26 though. Thanks for watching, I really appreciate it.

    Good day Halfmile.
    These are awesome groups.
    I will give you the next rabbit hole to go down..
    I personally only went halfway down this as it is quit lengthy.
    The person I knew that did this completely bought a few of those old school shelves that had all the drawers in them then when he got to the point that you are at now he would purchase 500 to a thousand projectiles then he would measure them all and separate them then he would weigh them into separate drawers then would decide where he had enough in bigger group of projectiles for the current project then what he didn't want to keep he would sell off...
    If you think about it if you are loading for over all length it does effect your seating depth which effects your pressures.

    • @Halfmilesniper
      @Halfmilesniper  6 днів тому +1

      I have been doing that but on a smaller scale. When I break open a new box of 100, or maybe 2 boxes, I'll weigh and separate by .1 gr increments. That way all my test rounds should be getting put together with the closest weights of powder and bullet. I know F Class John does a similar sorting but he sorts by bullet length I believe.

      Actually, I'm building up a 6mm Creedmoor, just to be a little different and should have a little less finicky feeding from the magazine.

      Nice, I'm going to be doing some long range testing for my 6mm BR soon I've had a custom 15" T/C Encore since the late 90s and will be testing at 500 yards soon

      @Halfmilesniper 30%off on some. Those groups really looked good after the copper rounds. Seems Lapua brass is making a difference especially with SD that low. You make this an interesting trip of learning. Thanks. 🙏👍🎯

    • @Halfmilesniper
      @Halfmilesniper  6 днів тому

      @@billdye3530 I was very happy with both of these loads...even more so with the good group and low SD from the Lapua brass. It is slowly coming together...very slowly, lol.

    You will do good with those. Burgers always always do shoot good Hammers first Bergers second choice for me. Hammers cost more than Bergers. Bergers might be a better choice for you. However a new video of hammers / Bergers accuracy test maybe a good video👏👏👏

    • @Halfmilesniper
      @Halfmilesniper  7 днів тому

      The Hornady ELD was doing OK on a few slower velocity loads, this test might be a turning point. I am looking into those Hammer bullets...may order the sample pack for a short test.

    Having a hard time seeing the impacts it's real fuzzy on my end. Great video thio.

      I know, I recentlt started trying to capture the target through a spotting scope because the summer heat and sun was overheating my target camera. I am still in the learning curve on pulling the image in clearly. I'll get it down soon...I hope, lol.

  • @TODinWY
    @TODinWY 6 днів тому +1

    I know it's tough, but the focus of the target camera/scope needs "tuned". Good shooting.

    • @Halfmilesniper
      @Halfmilesniper  6 днів тому

      I think I am starting to figure it out...last outing (the video I am currently working on) I figured out to zoom the GoPro, then the scope...now to determine if I cam remember the order next time I try doing it close in at 100 yards, lol.

    Hows the barrel looking? You must have a few rounds down the tube now.

    • @Halfmilesniper
      @Halfmilesniper  6 днів тому +1

      I scoped the bore at 640 rounds...have a little over 700 now. Erosion has started to grow at the throuat, the rest of the bore was looking good. We'll take another look down the bore probably in less than 50 rounds. I have been trying to scope the bore every 100 to 150 rounds.
