I don't have the budget for a big She Shed. My old eyes and fingers can not do a doll house. This would be perfect. A great little hobby to work on during the winter here in Michigan.

It is a great idea and I’ve told my dad to do that years ago. He built me a playhouse in Brazil when I was 5 and it was amazing!!!!!! I was so sad when I had to leave it behind . It Had windows, sink, shingle, porch and everything. Now he redid a playground for my kids and it’s also so amazing!

You climing in and out and i am like "ANGIE USE THE DOOR!!!" probably just as inconvenient but ya know :P It turned out really cute though! Your kids are blessed to not only have a mom who is hard working, but who goes the extra mile on things like this to make them feel extra special. Every kid could have the basic model house but yours get the upgrades and those little touches go a long way as the kids age and realize the little things and the time those things took!

Habitat for Humanity has a project called the Playhouse Project where volunteers make custom playhouses for kids. You could check into volunteering with them!

**Pause for applause** Wow! Never crossed my mind that I could just repaint a Little Tikes type of playhouse / car / whatever to make them more girl- or boy-centric! Have you ever done it before? Just asking whether you (or anyone!) know from prior experience how well the paint will stay adhered to the plastic? I did try repainting some resin planters by our pool a few years ago using Krylon spray paint for plastics, but have to retouch annually☹️. That said, they’re under a full Texas sun all summer *and* the plants they hold have to be watered. Now, am wondering whether my problem is the Texas heat, the daily watering, or even using the wrong paint. Can’t avoid the sun or watering, but will be def’ly try your paint next year!
