I'd like to see more reviews of do-it-all drop bar bikes with +50mm tyres (plus guards) and no toe overlap. UK roads are bad and off road paths and ways require cushioning and comfort.
Thanks David! I was thinking about the new cube nuroad c62 slt. This bike tick's all the boxes like the enve mog, however it's a lot cheaper and easier to get
I just bought last year's Canyon Aeroad CFR at a nice discount. Still has all the good stuff, such as DA di2, DT Swiss 1100 wheels etc, but doesn't have that stupid notch in the middle of the cockpit as this year's model has. I can't stand that look and much preferred the cleaner cockpit look. The bike rides great. I swapped out the tyres for 30mm tyres and run 70psi and it's a very comfortable ride. Haven't raced it in a crit yet but it's a very nice bike to ride and good value for money. My previous bike was a 2017 Giant SL0 TCR which is a very nice bike too.
Very good list of exciting bikes for 2025. I am still a fan of the Propain Terrel CF and Specialized Crux DSW. Hopefully, the Crux DSW will be available this year again. I‘d love to take a test ride. None of my LBS‘s has it in stock.
I have some friends who work in Giant dealers and the suspension Revolt doesn't sell at all. I think that style of bike is more Niché and maybe understandably is hasn't taken off. I think you forgot to mention the Scott Addict/RC, a cracking bike at a competitive price.
@davidarthur you've gotta test ride the Lauf Seigla! Such great spec at an incredible price point. Has massive tire clearance and that superb lightweight Grit suspension fork. 😁
Good video. I am torn between a Canyon Grail CF 8 SL or a Giant Revolt Advanced 0 2025. I have heard the Canyon is quite rigid, and has less forgiveness in the saddle/seat post than the Giant, is this true? The Canyon is about £1000 cheaper though, but doesn't have integrated storage or as much tyre clearance from what I understand. The Canyon only has 1by versus the 2x on the Giant. I have read that for more road riding then 2by is preferred? Also, as Canyon only do direct from manufacturer I cannot try one for size, so would be a gamble when buying. Thoughts?
Grail for racing Revolt for racing and everything else I'd say, Giant takes big tyres, does bike packing better, more comfortable. Grail is limited on tyre clearance. But I prefer 1x to 2x and it looks cool as heck. Also the new Giant isn't UDH sadly
@@MarkLRandall yeh the expensive version has it 😁 I am looking at the more reasonably priced one....if nearly £3,000 for a bike is reasonable!! Yeh I like the look of 1by but heard it just doesn't give the range. Also, concern about sizing, but guess it could be returned. Thanks.
I wouldn't worry about how compliant the seatpost is, it's subjective to the individual rider anyway. Modern wider tyres with lower pressures are where the comfort is found. Canyon bikes give you all the geometry measurements for each size. If you don't understand this information, or just want to be certain, spend some time and money travelling to a reputable bike fitter for a bike sizing. Without the right fit everything else is meaningless.
People complain about the expensive bikes but ignore the more affordable bike recommendations 🙄.

Good choice, cube offers an excellent value for money with the new bikes 👍

In love with the new Giant TCR 🥰 Tks, David 👊

Brilliant David - Excited to hear future thoughts on Cuba Agree / Lightning
at about 5:22, you start on the Giant TCR, but your yellow tag in the corner shows 'Giant TAR' :D
damnit, that's macOS autocorrect to blame but I should have picked it up, sorry about that :(
also, the Van Rysel RCR at 7:50 is labeled as "Giant Defy"...
I will sack the editor !

„It just works“ I damn hope this is the case for ANY bike more than 4K 😅
Hoping you can reveiw the Specialized Crux DSW.

I agree, just need to convince Lauf to let me ride one!
@@davidarthur that would be epic! I love mine. 🙏🏼
The enve MOG is a beauty🤩 But unfortunately i still haven’t won the loterie 😢
5:25 small typo in the yellow annotation: you put Giant TAR rather than TCR 😅
Sad that the Melee is not getting a recommendation. Even though you rated it above the SL8… sigh.
which one would you recommand if they have the same price Grizl AL 8 1BY 2023 vs Grizl CF SL 7 2022?
David, any perspective on the Cube Nuroad?
sadly not ridden that bike yet
I've had one, it's not really agile or nimble due to the very long wheelbase, not for me to be honest
The Enve Mog is RRP £5,500 for the 'chassis'. What would a dealer be paying the distributor for it? Half?
surprise there was no mention of the polygon helios for value bike
Review a Reilly (Spectre). So few reviews of these bikes online…
Giant tcr подходит для соревнований все таки или нет?

The Grail does have integrated storage, at least if you get a CF SLX or CFR. I have one and it's great, my first 1X and love it.

Hi David
Very informative video as always with some good recommendations for all cycling needs 🚴♂️🚴♂️🚴♂️🚴♂️🚴♂️🚴♂️🚴♂️🚴♂️👍
Glad you enjoyed it
Why do they always test carbon bikes
Got to be the Fairlight Secan; for me it's time to stop supporting the big manufacturers.
giant tar lol
Van who? Never heard, must be the new kid on the block.
Arguably the brand of 2024 gained a lot of traction during the year. I'm sure they will have a strong 2025
sorry dont have 10 grand to spend on a bike
Really? I feel sorry for that.
luckily you don't need 10 grand to spend on a bike :)
Deine Armut kotzt mich an.
Good thing you can spec a Canyon just about any way you like.
