- In this Vietnam Vlog, we're exploring the buzzing city of Hanoi for 5 days. On our first day in Hanoi,
we were shocked of the chaos and traffic in the city... a real culture shock! We weren't even sure, if we should film a video to be honest. But then we discovered so many cool things to do in Hanoi, like the famous Train Street! And above all, we fell in love with the Vietnamese coffee specialties, so we made it our mission to try as many different coffee versions as we could, including the Vietnamese Egg Coffee.
Episode 78 | Filmed December 2022

The street food, coffee and general charming atmosphere of Hanoi is addictive. Hard to leave that place.
Still miss the coffee every day since we left 🥹
Could you see yourself living there? I am extremely interested in doing just that
I really want to try coffee when I go to Vietnam. Thank you for sharing a fun video.
Thanks for watching! 🥰
Try ALL the coffees...they tried 3 popular ones, but there's also a peanut coffee that is supposed to be delicious. Not sure if you can find it in Hanoi, but if you can find salted coffee there, then it should be doable as both came from Hue.
Love your adventure and the editing is awesome ! Thank you.
I've plan to visit Hanoi this September and I'm so glad that I watching this vlog..
have fun! 😍
Great video guys!! We are going tomorrow, so you made us even more excited 😍
Looks to have an amazing energy to it.
Great video. I live in Hanoi so your analysis was interesting.
It's a walk in the park once you familiarize yourself with crossing the road. It's actually fun. The fact is they all are aware of the roads, and they swim around each as they move forward.
Yeah, the secret is to keep a steady pace so they can gauge what you're doing and go around you. Don't make sudden movements like stopping or running as that's when accidents will happen.
I have lived in Hanoi for 5 years and i still find crossing the road to be scary.
I was there on Christmas 21-25 December 2022... Soo beautiful and Nice weather.... I love hanoi and the vibes... Will be back this Christmas 2023 😍
Geniales Video👌 Ich hatte mega Spaß beim Ansehen🤣🤣😍
Danke 💛 wir hatten auch Spaß beim Filmen und Bearbeiten 😋
Hi guys I'm from Vietnam and Where are you from? I subscribed to your youtube channel and supported you
Good stuff. Hopefully my plans for traveling to Hanoi at the end of 2023 pans out.
Nice video Isabelle and Flo - Hanoi looks amazing
HI SUCH AMAZING ATMOSPHERE, NICE COFFEE WHAT AMAAZING CITY TO VISIT. I REALLY ENJOYING YOUR VIDEO TILL END .STAY TUNED
Thank you so much! 🥰
If I’m not wrong,… the Bun Bo Nam Bo is on Hang Dieu street. And that’s a good spot to eat this dish in Hanoi 🙌🏻🙌🏻 you guys came to the right place. I certify that place, as a Hanoian
I’m like you! I cannot move before having coffee. The crossing? You get use to it. Love my Vietnam💥
Haha i love the way how you react when the train passes by 😂
btw your video is very quality ❤ Im from Sai Gon, Vietnam
Ein tolles Video🥰 was für ein Verkehr in Hanoi 😯 das ist ja abenteuerlich.
Danke 💛 ja der Verkehr war extrem 🤯
Not gonna lie, but I actually love traffic lol! just so beautiful in Vietnam 🇻🇳❤️
I observed the cars on the roads too when I was in Hanoi and I noticed the cars were driving in many different directions without any traffic rules and regulations, but surprisingly, there were no accidents on the roads. I been to countries that have a lot of traffic laws and lights and lanes, but I saw a lot of car accidents.
I can sit and watch Hanoi traffic all day ❤😂🎉
Great video guys! We loved our time in Hanoi, definitely once in a lifetime but excited to revisit Vietnam 😍
Vietnam looks amazing
Wow, really good editing and camera work!
Thank you so much! Really appreciate it 😊
Great pronounciation of Koan Kiem lake. You are both very sincere and nice to see your video. It's 'scary', not 'sketchy'. :)
Thanks a lot! We thought these two were just synonyms for uncomfortable situations, is that not the case? 😳
There is a system on the street and it's called " paid attention when you driving \ walking plus the car/ moped only drive 10_15 kmph in the city
I’ll begin to travel Southeast Asia at the end of the year. Awesome videos like this is quenching my thirst until I get there. 🎉🥂
I don’t know how I came here but I love it 🫶🏼🕺
Thank you so much! Means a lot 😊
amazing city
Ngon. Stay hungry my friends!
Hi, please share the cafe names where you tried coconut coffee, salted coffee and egg coffee 😊
Wow sitting next to train having meals. How dangerous yet incredible!
How's the weather now.. I'm going to Hanoi early April... Is it cold now... Appreciate if you could reply
I once stayed more than 60 days ONLY inside Old Quarter :-D What is your favorit thing about Hanoi ?
Dead fish in Hoan Kiem lake was caused by the overgrowing of algae in the lake, u can see the water color was too green because of that reason. Also, Banh Mi plural form is still Banh Mi, no s.
I know I'm late to the comment section, but you guys have some of the best Vietnamese pronunciation I have ever seen for a first-time visitor. You didn't butcher it too bad!
Next time you visit Vietnam, come to the Southern and Central regions! You might think Hanoi is chaotic, but Ho Chi Minh City (Saigon) takes it to a whole new level (and the city is obviously gorgeous).
🎉
I still cant forget Highland coffee, its sooo damn nice
the salted coffee can you share the adress? Cant find it!
I just returned from Saigon and have figured out the logic and success of the insane traffic...No Egos and No Road rage....
100% agree!
Tip for crossing street in Vietnam:
Many tourist foreigners scared of traffic in VN . Don’t worry about it! The rule to win this fear is keep routin slowly walking when you across the streams of motobike! motor-bykers knows how to avoid you themself in chaos-order! remmember do not run and stop suddently , accident immidiatly ! Don’t be affraid off and do it if you want to be safety in the crazy- traffic in Vietnam.
Craziest? Yep, it’s one in a lifetime. 👍
Was the Egg & Cocunut coffee hot or cold? Nice video
The egg coffee is hot and the coconut coffee is ice cold 😋
Great video. Which camera are you using?
Thanks! 😍 we’re vlogging with the Sony a 7IV but the biggest factor for quality is probably a good lense which is in our case the Sony GM 16-35 and GM 24-70😊
@@isabelleandflo Nice
😊
I heard the train lane been closed to the public recently. Is this true?
Yes, it was closed last year due to a Korean tourist doing something foolish and getting hurt. However, even with the police barricade, you can get on the tracks if you go with a cafe owner...but that means you have to order something from their restaurant. It's possible they may have opened it to the public again recently, but I've not heard otherwise.
Looking to retire there. What is great. NO graffiti. Tried Ecuador, didn't work for me. Looked into Portugal, same.
It's even more dangerous @0:44 when you're selfieing recording video of yourself while crossing the street, seriously! Eyes on the road not camera. Btw, you're correct about the Vietnamese coffee.
Great job at checking off 3 of the most popular coffees. Next time, add peanut coffee to your list as I hear it's also really good. Maybe go on a food tour if you're there longer as the food tours I've seen from "Flora and Note", MomDuty, and "This Food Bangz" looks amazing in Hanoi. Other great food tours I've seen in Vietnam are on "Chase and Shelbs" in HCMC and "Steph and Pete" in Hoi An.
😮😮😮
👍👍🔥🔥🙌🙌
No system no rule. But not much have accidents. In your country. LAdy
Just an advice: It would help your viewers so much if you could put down below or in the video the name/address of the places you visited. It would help us a lot to find those places when we visit.
👍🙂👏🙋
Xính ghê nha
Banh mi is delicious but too carby 🥲
Crosswalks with traffic lights are just behind your back at the other intersections. You guys just did not use them.
That’s why you could hear me say “at least none that they pay attention to” because it didn’t matter whether it was red or green light 😂
Ok these folks are over exaggerating. There are crosswalks, they just had to walk to them.
Ummmm fish get old and die. I’m almost 100% certain.
