Why does ever video of a 99 chevy silverado have front spring with shocks but my 99 chevy only has shock should I look into springs 1999 chevy silverado 5.3 vortec 4x4 ?
Really? He didn’t show how to remove the shock!!! Unbelievable what a bunch of trolls wasting peoples time! First timers wanna are the process sorry for freaking out...🖖
You should have showed you removing those fronts. They need to line up perfectly and the right angle or they will not juts slide right out. Took me a bit to figure it out. Words of advice... I sprayed all bolts and nuts front and rear the day before I did this job, and it was a piece of cake removing all bolts and nuts. Tops were cake. I used an impact on the top 2nd nut and didnt even need to hold the shock from below. Came off like a hot knife through butter.
Thanks A Lot! Got me wanting to keep all this dough the shop trying to charge me and DIY it! What you say are the best shocks & struts to get for my '07 Silverado 1500? Then what site would you recommend to get them from? Please provide links, if possible. Thanks much!
Which way do the front shocks face when reinstalling?? The bolt mounting plate on the bottom is angled & I've seen a vid of a guy putting it in against that angle. My bilsteins did not come with that instruction
I would have liked to see how you got the top nut loose. That one nut seems to be the hardest part. I have seen people cut them off due to being seized. Other than that thanks.
Same process for 2005 sierra 4x4. Also, I got a 6 inch lift :/ is it still the same? I gotta replace my cv joints, I was told with a lift id have to remove the struts as well. Is this correct?
to be honest, i dont even know what kind it is. i bought it already lifted. So i got no clue. i just know its a 6 inch lift. gonna find out once i go to do it though.
sometimes when u try to say $$$ u end up paying more $$ i was doing nine & i ended up breaking the 2 bottom bolt. do u know how can i fix it to retread it or at least the size of the bolt.nine is a 95 gmc sierra 2500 it look just like the one in the video. any help i 'll appreciate it thanks
you have two options, get a new lower control arm, OR you could nock off the nuts that are welded to the lower control arm and just put new bolts with nuts, (hope that makes sense)
if you want to help out the channel, just use my Amazon link when sopping at amazon.

Loved knowing what tools I needed prior. I actually wrote that down then gathered them and the job went MUCH quicker than I thought. GOOD JOB.
Good solid video, I like the safety awareness, a lot of people leave that out. Might recommend spraying everything with anti-seize ahead of time.
Glad I watched. I was going to purchase spring compression clamps to do the job. Nice to know I do not have to. Thanks for the great video !!
Would have been nice to see the front shocks removed. Other than that good info bud.
Why would someone put a dislike? a beautiful video?

Totally missed showing the actual removal of the front shocks. Are “you” serious? 😂😂😂
I appreciate all the safety tips.

I've never had one size on me that's why I didn't show it, but ill keep that in mind for the next video, Thanks!
Tactical-Kydex-Gear heat it up with a torch
The spring doesn’t need replaced?
Part # on front shocks
Hello, Can't seem to find the bolts for the front shocks the two that go on the cross bar at the bottom of the shock mines need to be replace.
Try dealer or junk yard

procedure is the same.. only issue might be your current lift.. depending on what kind you have.. but the cars are the same

hi bro is it same with yukon 2008 2wd ????
& which kind of shocks is the best ?
plz need ur help
yeah basicly same procedure
konis are about the best out there
Falcon's Garage
Thx bro
But do u knw price of four shocks ?!
well konis are the best out there there for not cheap!
you cn also get some doorman Reflex .. those are a reasonably priced!
If you jack the back of the truck up the right amount you don’t have to compress the rear shock.

This is 4 months old, but did you try a cutting torch ? If not, how did you fix? I'm about to do mine today.
What about the struts?
That's a before and after
Will this work on a 2005 4wd 5.3 Silverado 1500? Thanks!
It would be close but not 100% the same because you have the front axles going to the front wheels
Ok ok, turn some nuts already.
