    Loved knowing what tools I needed prior. I actually wrote that down then gathered them and the job went MUCH quicker than I thought. GOOD JOB.

    Good solid video, I like the safety awareness, a lot of people leave that out. Might recommend spraying everything with anti-seize ahead of time.

    Glad I watched. I was going to purchase spring compression clamps to do the job. Nice to know I do not have to. Thanks for the great video !!

    You should have showed you removing those fronts. They need to line up perfectly and the right angle or they will not juts slide right out. Took me a bit to figure it out. Words of advice... I sprayed all bolts and nuts front and rear the day before I did this job, and it was a piece of cake removing all bolts and nuts. Tops were cake. I used an impact on the top 2nd nut and didnt even need to hold the shock from below. Came off like a hot knife through butter.

    Thanks A Lot! Got me wanting to keep all this dough the shop trying to charge me and DIY it!
    What you say are the best shocks & struts to get for my '07 Silverado 1500? Then what site would you recommend to get them from?
    Please provide links, if possible.
    Thanks much!

    Which way do the front shocks face when reinstalling?? The bolt mounting plate on the bottom is angled & I've seen a vid of a guy putting it in against that angle. My bilsteins did not come with that instruction

    I would have liked to see how you got the top nut loose. That one nut seems to be the hardest part. I have seen people cut them off due to being seized. Other than that thanks.

      I've never had one size on me that's why I didn't show it, but ill keep that in mind for the next video, Thanks!

    Same process for 2005 sierra 4x4. Also, I got a 6 inch lift :/ is it still the same? I gotta replace my cv joints, I was told with a lift id have to remove the struts as well. Is this correct?

    • @FalconsGarage
      @FalconsGarage  6 років тому

      procedure is the same.. only issue might be your current lift.. depending on what kind you have.. but the cars are the same

    • @Kephers7
      @Kephers7 6 років тому +1

      to be honest, i dont even know what kind it is. i bought it already lifted. So i got no clue. i just know its a 6 inch lift. gonna find out once i go to do it though.

    If you jack the back of the truck up the right amount you don’t have to compress the rear shock.

      you have two options, get a new lower control arm, OR you could nock off the nuts that are welded to the lower control arm and just put new bolts with nuts, (hope that makes sense)

      This is 4 months old, but did you try a cutting torch ? If not, how did you fix? I'm about to do mine today.

      It would be close but not 100% the same because you have the front axles going to the front wheels
