With shows like American Idol and The Voice, in my opinion we’re seeing the end of The Band. That’s unfortunate! From the 1920s thru the early 2000s , we’ve seen Big Bands, Swing Bands, Folk Bands, Rock Bands, Country Bands, Blue’s Bands, and Heavy Metal Bands, but now... This was my very first try at arranging. I’d always loved this song by the Mamas and the Papas, but never realized it was written about people that they knew starting their own bands. I’ve come along way since 2014, but when you see the happy face, and hear the interaction between flute and piano, well, that was the moment I knew I had something special inside!
